These clones are 15 days old and rooted. We are giving them 1 week of regular veg.
All from our gratitude grow where we popped a bunch of seeds to hunt for an OLP to call mom. OLP 1 was the winner and her clone was used to make the mother we call pothead. This run we are starting with be one of potheads clones fully rooted. And while we dumped the rest of the clones kept as potential moms from the gratitude grow, we still have 3 fully rooted clones saved from OLP 3,4 and 5 that were taken during mid flower and shoved into a cup together in my first attempt to root “monster-cropped” cuts. We separated and re-potted the monster-cropped clones into their own cups and vegging for 1 week before flip. They were cool to watch root and revert into veg.
We will flower all 4 clones by adding them into a micro sog we are setting up for some other cuts using automatic drip emitters and drain to waste. Should be setup and ready by Wednesday.
Day 1 Flower: Mar 5
Re-potted again into 1/2 grow bags, monster cropped clones have very small rootballs, topped the normal clone. Set up mini sog table in 2x2 tent with drippers and drainage with 4 seedlings. Immediately set light timer to 12-12 and increased intensity to 575ppfd to initiate flower. Still feeding veg formula with 25% runoff ppm 915-1010 pH 6.2-6.5
Day 3 Flower: Mar 8
So I packed in the last 4 rooted clones in 4”
pots but because they were rooted in a community pot they lost most of their roots while being transplanted. I added vitathrive to the feed and gave everything a spray with growth plus. We are rocking this tiny tent. We have 3 monster cropped, 1 vegged clone and 4 rooted clones.
Pothead is getting the same feed, we moved her to our temporary vegging station in the spare bath and increased her lighting, also sprayed with growth plus. She’s healthy.
Moved the OLP clones (4 normal, 3 monster) to their own shelf they were too crowded in the 2x2. Switched feed to 50:50 bloom/grow. Setup automatic drippers and drain to waste twice a day. They are doing fine. No signs of flower yet.
Mom was starting to show signs of being root bound and she’s lived in that 500ml cup since October with 1 root pruning in January. Instead of root pruning again I decided to uppot to 1 gallon and let her grow out. I will replace her with a new clone later. Might let mama flower outside this summer.
The small clones are a bit sad because I increased watering and they sitting in runoff water for several hours before I realized their riser wasn’t sufficient anymore. I added a shelf to raise them completely off the drain pan and decreased frequency.
The monster clones seem to have recovered the roots and one is definitely looking quite healthy.
Mama is recovering from being root bound and in her new gallon pot and she’s been outside a few times because we had surprise 21° weather .
Last week everything got spray-n-grow and growth plus foliar feed. Probably oversprayed and didn’t let them dry long enough before lights back on.
Potheads clone however in the 2x2 sog is growing beautifully despite her lack of space. She’s now 19” tall.
Runoff around 800 ppm 6.5 pH
Everything about this grow has been problematic, from the way they were rooted community style and ripped all their roots during transplant to pH problems with my source water changing to now what looks like pretty bad light burn.. I’m not sure if I should continue our just cut my losses and move on to the next batch..
Never mind, culled them all. What few leaves were left were light burned, there was few pistils at bud sites. They weren’t even well rooted in the pot ffs. Right. Learned many things from this attempt. Don’t fuck with
OLP mama started September 2023 still going strong. I might have killed all her clones but we can try again! She’s currently in a 1 gallon pot and taking her out during the day, sleeping in the bathe at night. Feed once daily drain to waste. Spray with growth plus once a week. Going to plant this beauty outside this summer after taking enough clones for a new run and a new mama.
No harvest. Never mind, culled them all. Everything was perfection in veg and went to shit in “flower”. There’s no flower. What few leaves were left had light burn damage , there was few pistils at bud sites. Pots only getting watered only once a day and yet not drinking. Pulled the weakest one out. They weren’t even well rooted in the pot ffs. Right. Learned many things from this attempt. Don’t fuck with pH, change the light, don’t foliar feed during flower. Try again with rooted clones from mother room.
