Back for another round using a new seed bank, technique, growing medium, etc. Medium is 2.8 lbs. of coco coir mixed with 1.25 lbs. of vermiculite. Seeds were germinated for 3 days using a moist paper towel on a germination mat in a greenhouse. Once germinated, they were put into jiffy pots and left in the greenhouse for an additional 5 days. Before planting into the medium, the wrapper was carefully removed from the jiffy pot to ensure the roots could grow directly down. I am using an AC Infinity self-watering fabric pot base with a 5 gallon fabric pot. I’m hoping that with these changes I will avoid the nutrient lockout I experienced last time.
Hey there, Thanks so much for growing our genetics, will be excited to see them all flourish ☘️ Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help 😎 Happy Growing !!!👨🌾🌲
Despite this lady being an absolute champ, she was beginning to show signs of nutrient burn. Also her pot was light and her soil dry with the gauge showing zero water uptake. So I did a full flush on her today just like her tent mate yesterday and will look to add nutrients later this week if she begins drinking again.
I had to LST the very top of the main cola as it was about to hit the LED lights. I also applied some pH down to the self-watering base as the pot felt a bit dry and pH was nearing 8. So I brought it back down to a more reasonable low 6. I wanted to avoid having to do the full flush like I did with its tent mate earlier this week.
The challenges that come with these last final weeks are very different than what I’ve encountered up until now. This is the longest I’ve been able to take a grow. Just now I found some bud rot at the top of one of my colas, ugh. Chopped the top of the cola to prevent the rot from spreading then I changed my fan schedules to ensure they are running throughout most of the day/night to keep air moving and humidity hopefully lower.
