Second grow. Germed soaking for 18 hours then transferred to paper towel. Took 4 days to pop, and then 3 days to pop out of the soil.
Originally intended to grow White Widow auto next, but decided to do those outdoors in may each in a different method (FFOF big pot, directly in ground, in Miracke Grow). So opted to grow this Fat Banana autoflower instead.
Goals are to avoid the minor Cal-Mag and PH issues I had in my first grow. I'm less concerned with yield and instead want a healthy plant.

Just leaving it alone for the most part. Watering in a loop around it every few days. Not feeding, leaving everything to the Foxfarm Ocean Forest these first weeks.
2nd set of leaves easily visible on day 9.
Haven't decided if I'm going to run lights 24/0 for the whole grow, for just seedling, or just through veg.

Plant continues to grow, starting its' 3rd node.
Only feed is a slightly heavy feed of cal-mag, will return to just water for future waterings and only supplement the cal-mag every 3 or so unless seeing issues. Leaving Ocean Forest to do its' thing mostly.
Continuing with 24/0 light schedule, still unsure if I'll continue that or not, probably just through into the next week.

Continues growth. No waterings since last posting and no feeding beyond that cal-mag.
Added a kratky Cilantro to the tent. Algae pretty heavy on the top layer of soil. I have what I suspect to be either wind or bug damage (leaning wind damage from oscillating fan)
Node 4 is emerging. Plant is building slow.

FIMed at the very start of this week to stall vertical growth.
Plain water once via bottom watering. No added nutrition beyond what is in Ocean Forest.
Fan damaged leaf has fully mended.
Kratky tent mate is doing seedling stuff.

Flowering is starting. Tied the plant down and removed the lowest node on the side in the direction of the tie down.
This plant is really small compared the Quick Ones I grew before, but I've also tied it down in preflower.
I have concerns about leaf contact condensation and wind damage from the tent fan continues to be a problem. For the most part leaves ends are twisting with only a few leaves showing ripping damage, which in the case of one leaf is a severe enough to be called a severing and so bad I think it might have been clipped in the FIM.

Continuing with LST tying down. Plant is 9.5" tall and has full entered early flower, height had it not been bent over is probably ~16 to 18 inches.
Gave a heavy feed of nutes with 1 liter of water tonight. Mostly just gave water and a single 2ml / 2ml / 2 ml feed at the start of the week in the above listed nutrients in order.
I'm happy with the compactness but concerned about moisture going forward. Will likely start gradually defoliating a few leaves over the next to reduce the contact-condensation.
Started a Northern Lights Auto that will go outside once it gets some build and cilantro bro is doing cilantro things being a floppy wet noodle.
Switched to 24hrs light to hopefully limit stretch a bit. Oscillating fan runs in 30 minute intervals 6 times a day.

Flowering continues. Watered twice 1 liter each time, no nutrients added due to prior heavy feed and also from seeing very minor spotting symptoms of what appears to be Nitrogen excess. Not enough of an overdose to be concerned I think. All-in-all I'm doing better this grow, my LST is mostly on point and I'll just be tying down two stems over the next week.
Cilanbro has now moved out of the tent to the balcony. Northern Lights Auto is still getting started, probably moving outside in 1 or 2 more weeks.

Two words: BUD ROT 😱.
6/4/2024 (M/D/Y) found botrytis in a center minor cola. Noticed the color of the bud was off and then gave it a squeeze. It fell apart in my hands. Plant had been moved outside several weeks ago and the weather this year has just been absolute trash.
Emergency chopped the tops of the major colas. Plant was nearing the end of ripening and I was seeing amber in the leaves, but only a wee bit in the buds. 4 or 5 calyxes would fill a single-person pipe.
Still quite a bit of smaller buds remaining, I will keep an eye on those and harvest as need be.
Unfortunately a young white-widow auto isn't ready to go outside (1 week 5 days old) with the current June insect situation and it's starting the first shoots, so I have no choice except to dry these in an active grow tent.
No A/C either so temperature is 76F and 53% humidity in that tent. Strung up inside a cardboard box on the floor of my grow tent, cut vents in the bottom sides and placed it near an intake vent.
This bud-rot emergency chop hit so fast that I was completely unprepared.
---
As to the bud-rot issue, I think I would've been better off not tying the plant over. Bent into an S-shape it's difficult to judge what's going on with foliage crowding and the mold was found square in the center of the plant. In the future I should either let the plant grow as it will or be more deliberate with the LST in trimming and spidering out the plant instead of a lazy bend-the-main-cola over.

Final harvest after another bud rot event.
Managed to lower temperature sto 69-70 Fahrenheit and wax between 60% and 65% humidity for a 6 day dry of last week's cola harvest. Continuing these conditions for the final harvest.
Purged all popcorn and only took the top 5 buds of each stem. Mix of wet and dry trim in hanging. A damaged menorah shaped branch has been hanging separately and is not depicted. That branch was broken attempting to do a final spread tie-down spread to lower bud-rot risks.
Final buds need to hang, but from this grow I'm largely concluding that simple LST may make lovely plants, but it also makes plants that are irritating and serious bud-rot risks outdoors.
With recent local price-hikes, I've made a net-win based on just the 22 gram cola harvests. From here on out everything is just surplus.
