Brought these back to life, tallest one is female I believe and the smaller one is male maybe? not sure if I see pre flowers yet, and I'm having some purple stem issues, not sure why, using 6 4 4 grow big during veg so shouldn't be phosphate or potassium problem. finally feel like im getting it, after she grows a big more I'm gonna clone her before going 12 - 12. Always open to advice and comments. sorry for the huge gap in missing weeks! Will be frequently updating now

Great comeback from the nute burn! What I thought was a male plant, and gave it away, had preflower structures that looked very similar to your second plant, and had outgrown its sister - much taller and lanky. I kept the suspected female and am currently flowering it (Starfish Jr.)

The first thing a plant will run out of is mag. The more intense the light the more the plant tries to utilize it. If it can’t, it will run short on mag and co2. When this happens the plant gets what I consider a sun burn and it happens on the stem leaves first. If you catch it early enough you can lift up the leaf and see it’s still green on the bottom. Starts on the stem, works it way down to the pcenter of the leaf, then through the stem. Three main causes for this is water if too often and rotting the root hairs. Too much intensity of light, plant can’t keep up run short on mag. Your using RO water and not adding mag back in. I am not 100% familiar with your grow, you say 1/4, but this can mean a lot of things. If you tell me what week she was in and how much ppm you gave her pe each nutrients I can follow along. If you need some advice on that let me know. The main question about your nite burn is how often did you feed her? Because if it was with every watering or even every other watering this could be the main cause. And if you had her in the big bucket from when she was small that’s even worse. Because you are repeatedly feeding/watering the media in parts where there are no roots yet. So as they they try to grow into the space it will be much too strong for them. Because if you feed them and it dries up, much of the nutrients are still left in the soil, if you feed again, just adding more salts in the soil. So new roots can’t grow root hairs ect. Also you are sure that is true wattage from the wall and not their claims? What is the light, and how far away.

Hello, is a nice recovery but did take much time. The purpleing + over all sadness of your plant(leaves curly down) can be from a few things. What is the light you are using and how far away is it? How often are you watering and how often are you feeding? She is showing her sex, happens in mature plants sometimes. So one less thing to worry about. Also if I was to recommend one thing in your garden it would be mycorrhizae. It helps to build the roots along with some other good benefits, but you would of recovered faster with them, just something yo use once a week or every 2 weeks.

I love your strawberry cough! I had such a fun time growing it this summer outside. It was part of my very 1st plants 😊 don't worry about the overdose...since its not auto you have time to fix it. No rush, you can always cut pieces away to be replaced by new growth as long as you don't flip it to flowering.

Good luck buddy hopefully it’s female and she comes around to the nute burn 🙂

Nice, not sure why you have mute burn, maybe the soil already had some nutrients in it? All nutrients are salts. PPM is the amount of salts(nutrients) in the water. So you would purchase a ppm meter, 20-40$ you don’t need one with ph, but knock your self out if you want it. But it’s really not needed, ppm is what is important. Knowing how much salt per ml is important, too much salt will dehydrate the roots and kill the root hairs. Also forces the plant to pull water from the leaves down the stem into the media to dilute the salts, so more or less decreasing the ppm in your soil. That’s why you see the burnt tip, because she pulled the moisture out. Fill up one gallon of water. Put meter in water and record your PPM. Add 5ml of your first nutrient. Check and record PPM for that nutrient. Dump out the water Repeat again for all of your nutrients. Now you know how much PPM(salt) each of your nutrients has. Much like calories in food, ppm is calories to the plant. Now you can find out what your plant is able to use in each week, depending on your light and how old they are. Like you are not going to give a seedling 500 PPm. But Maybe start at 50-100 and increase every time you feed. You can also collect the run off of your soil to figure out how hot your soil is. Have you always been in this container? And how often did you water then?

lol great questions. The true wattage for the lights are 300w and 180w respectively. I have no idea how to calculate ppm so that would be great for some help on that. I have been watering every 3rd watering, and using 1/4 of recommended big bloom and grow big per gallon of water, and when I do water around every 3 days I use about 1/3rd of said gallon. thank you very much for the info, I am going to order some cal mag asap! please let me know. thank you!

thank you for the input, I 100% agree with you.I cannot pinpoint the purpling, my water is perfectly at 6.0, I'm using less than 1/4 the recommended grow big and big bloom yet it still shows some nitrogen burn. I'm using 2x led lights, a 300 and a 600, both are about 20 inches from the plant.I water them about every 3 days, I water until runoff and I wait until it's dry. the temps are within 70 to 80 degrees with 30 to 40% humidity. The only thing I can think of now is maybe magnesium deficiency. I tried giving a light fees of veg nutes and it appears to have excess nitrogen again. I don't get it but im determined lol.

ty much appreciated! I'm just gonna be patient and keep in veg, which is why I don't understand why autos are recommended for beginners
