This is my first grow along with Barbara (Green Cush Autoflower). This is a learning experience 100% and I have many more autoflower seeds ready to germinate if things go unfortunately, but I still hope to get some flower out of the experience and perhaps start a more "standard" garden as well.
Next grow will likely skip the water and go straight to a jiffy pellet, as the anxiety of drowning the seeds was through the roof (one of the main reasons I want flower!)
More specific details:
- I did not pH test the water, because I am new and did not realize that you probably should every time.
- I believe I was a bit quick to transplant directly into the 5 gallon fabric pot, but I saw roots and thought OH GOD THEY NEED SOIL. First grows are scary!
- Soil is Ocean's Forest with 25% Perlite. I did not wait for a less "hot" soil (Happy Frog) to be delivered for the top soil, due to the anxiety described above.
I will try and keep the details separate per plant from here on out, as they are starting to display slightly different situations/personalities and such. Any and all advice is welcome, but please be gentle on the newbie :)
@dryjag I see why! You really brought out the best in that shot. It's cool to see how the seedling's progress translates into a great photo. Keep up the good work with the grow!
