Working 60-70 hours this past week has made it hard to give her the attention she needs. My work schedule makes it hard to get things done, when they need to be done. As a result: under-watering. She'll have my full attention the next week though. Need to start keeping better track of watering's and feeding's.
Slight defoliation of a few small sucker branches and a lot of the bigger fan leaves for more light pen, dimmed the light a little since she was getting so close. Other than tying down branches, she's doing what she does. Still not comfortable enough taking the scissors to her but I'm still learning and got plenty more grows coming. So lets she what she does.
4/17/24 - Start of week 9. She's looking a little better after the adjustments. Soil was dry, pot was light and she was getting underwatered droopy - gave pH'd water @6.4, usually at around 6 but last runoff check was low. pH test of this waterings runoff @5.7, should be okay.
4/19/24 - She's looking better and better. Soil is getting dry. Feed later today or maybe early tomorrow.
4/24/24 - Start of week 10. Leaves are yellowing, not sure if its a natural dying off or if there's a problem.
4/26/24 - Fed 2ml Micro + 10ml Bloom
4/28/24 - Close to 10 full weeks. Might go to 12 weeks.
4/30/24 - I wasn't planning on flushing but figured why not and ordered an EC meter that should arrive in a couple days. She definitely needed some water this morning (1gal. pH - 6.2) and looking like she's nearing the end. So I may only have the last week or so.
5/1/24 - Start of week 11. She's getting close, there's still some clear trichomes and very few amber. Quite a few white pistils as well. I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to do a pre-harvest flush though.
5/4/24 - The colors are so vibrant and the smell is, imo extremely strong. Leave the backroom door open too long and the entire house smells like the inside of the tent. It has a very sweet smell, I enjoy it. Buds are hardening up. So close
5/5/24 - Removed many of the fan leaves, a pre wet trim before harvest. I'm getting very impatient xD
-I really enjoyed growing this one. As far as quality goes, at time of harvest, this is definitely my best. She was a beautiful plant, especially in the last couple weeks when all her colors seemed to become very vibrant. Light greens and orange and the last couple weeks the purple arrived.
-The buds are just a little leafy (probably my fault from light and heat stress) but very dense, hard and extremely sticky. Another fine plant from RQS that was able to take the abuse I unintentionally dealt to it and still come out to produce something that looks and smells so amazing.
-It's got a smell of wood/earth and something sweet and sugary. It's very loud
-Well that was a pretty quick dry...although I did heavily defoliate in the few days leading up to harvest, leaving almost nothing but flower. Dried in a closet, ~70 degrees F and humidity swings from 50%-60%. No hay smell and a test of the smoke is smooth and very tasteful. Buds are some what airy but holy fuck is this stuff strong.
1 out of 2 plants from my 3rd grow and the 17th plant I've harvest. I'm considering the Medusa as a part of my 3rd grow as well. I can't wait until it's dried for a test run. I'm glad I ordered more than one seed, I'm definitely gonna grow this again after I've had some more experience. I'm not taking a wet weight, I cut all the branches off the main stem and hang them up. So no point when so much of the weight is gonna be stems and water.
Added a few photos of the root ball for those that like to see em'
@Dennis_Bong, Thank you. They're a little airy but tastes great, smells great and smokes great. I still got a lot to work on though, especially feeding.
