2024 - growing in a grow-legal state.
Germination week.
6 of 6 germinated via paper towel and then into soil in small cups.
One of them had the cotyledons stuck together a bit.... Peeled it apart a bit as it seemed like it wouldn't be able to free itself. Seems to have worked.
Week 1;
6of6 germinated and growing.
2";
20/4 lights.
Light fan to jiggle.
Both of the AfricanPrincess seedlings leaves look a bit warped but still growing up.
I thought they looked a little thirsty (the real definition) this week watered more the last few days.
Thinking those two might not like have appreciated the wet soil.
I 've also been lax and using tap water without monitoring ph. (Shrug).
Regardless, girls leaving their cups and into pots tomorrow and they'll dry out and will get into normal watering/monitoring.
It's still too cold to get them outside so hanging out in the tent.
Hoping to get them into their final spot next week but outdoor temps still look to be only in the 60s :(
The week started a bit dicey and lost some lower leaves to damage but got things dialed in and growing well now.
I think left over from not checking pH the first two weeks. Added some cal-mag to the spray bottle and that's helped, and then backed off the overall nutes for now until they show they really want?
One plant still is struggling a bit and haven't figured out why as they all on the same regimen but she clearly has different needs.
I really only have room for 4 or 5 anyways - so not worried if one doesn't make it.
On the plus size, they are all staying very compact without stretching and I'm loving that.
Topping is on the plate for this coming week.
Plants were topped to started to start the week.
Still working through what I think is leftover issues from not watching ph the first few weeks. Tap water here at 8.0.
Trimmed some damaged leaves and one plant still showing some weird curling/deformed leaves.
TPSA/B Nutes and cal-mag + calMag foliage spray.
Really like the stubby compact nature of the two Pyx Stxx plants.
The other plants are a bit stretchier.
Still a bit too cold to keep them outside but hopefully can make another week in the tent and then out they go.
Planning on moving them to their final 5-gallon cloth bags this week as well and then start LST.
growing well.
into their final pots - I got 4 of the 6 done and 2 to go.
Nutrients aren't quite right as spots on the leaves. Will take it up a notch.
Finally warm enough to be outside starting this week.
One of them has become very stretchy. (22" tall) vs the others (3 are 17") and 2 are very bushy compact girls (14").
Was too busy to give them much attention this summer but getting them to the finish line.
Ph got a bit low in the soil a few weeks ago and flushed and recovering now.
A bit hungry they seem but it's also flowering and just losing some leaves anyways.
These got way bigger than I planned.
(Ha!
Good thing it's early summer and can be outside.
Flowering a bit less robustly than I expected, but still got plenty for harvest and my consumption this next year.
3 more weeks I think....
