Hey FUCKERS! My first ever grow and what better way to kick off an experiment than to GROW ONE!! I originally arranged to grow the Humboldt Seed Company strain Blueberry Muffin (because bitches love muffins). When my seed order arrived with free and rare pheno hunt seeds from two strains that are basically undocumented across the internet, I was hooked. I reached out to HSC for more information on the parents of these little ladies, but I have not been updated yet. From what I gather it would be a combo of Red Velvet (Lemon Cherry Gelato x Piña Acai) and possibly Jager Meister (LA Confidential x Blue Dream). The only confirmed strain of this pheno's ancestry is Red Velvet so far. I'll share my daily logs at the end of the grow and do my very best to update you shit birds every week. Stay tuned! I FUCKIN' LOVE YOU!

Technically NOT in Veg. phase yet. This seedling is working hard and growing well so far. I may swap from watering with a cup/bottle as I have knocked it over a few times when watering. I'll look for a large water pipet for these feedings until the roots and stem have more strength. I also need to switch to a better filtered water. I don't want to damage the plant or soil with chloromine or chlorinated water. Day 14 update. Watered an hour before "night time" on Day 12.5. It was 6.4pH tap water (still on tap water until I can install a proper filter). About 16oz of water was given. Still doing the seedling automation on my Vivosun controller. 16 hours of sun/8 hours of night. Average tent temp is 84F during the "Day time" and around 77F during the "night" cycle (Average RH% is 74 and 66 respectively). This is all logged by the Govee Thermohygrometer at the top of the tent so temperature and humidity may vary slightly at canopy level. I'm working to lower the temp of the tent now to meet that sweet spot of VPD. Currently worked from 1.6 to 1.3 VPD. I will find the 1 VPD mark the best I can. As it starts to warm up that might be a feat in general.

Day 14 - She's thriving it seems so far. She's bursting with tri-leafed nodes. I've changed the environment a bit. I have not been successful cooling the room enough to bring down the VPD from 1.3kPa or so. Instead I'm approaching it from a humidity perspective. I have the threshold up to 70%RH. I'm peaking the humidity to lower the VPD to .9kPa since I can't really effectively cool the tent to the low 70's. There is a slight aroma from the seedling. The infamous skunky smell is only observable when very close to the plant. I have not been using the filter on the exhaust fan though.

Day 20 - she got 16oz of water pH balanced to 6.0~ on Day 16, Day 18, and Day 20. I topped the plant and then defoliated to leave the 3rd and 4th nodes. The 3rd node is being trained to grow laterally until it reaches the container walls. Once the 4th node matures more, it will also be trained just as node 3. The goal is to train and top one more time in veg to ensure maximum yields in this small 2x2x4 tent.

After toping the plant I started a Main-line technique to build the plant outward and aim to develop 16 main stems prior to flowering stage. I do not see any major genetic issues with this plant. She Has had a few deformed fan leaves and one of the 4 main-lines grew a node from a node. This was not going to be used in my training technique plan so I have since removed it. watering has stepping up to 28oz of distilled water pH balanced to 6.0~ (no higher than 6.5pH) I will also begin feeding the plant using the General Hydroponics Flora Series products. I don't think I'll need Cal-Mag so I'm watching closely for signs of deficiency before I opt in to purchase the nutrient.

Growth slowed a bit after toping and ML technique started. Everything is being trained outward. Waiting on the 4 mains to develop enough nodes before I make more cuts. Watering still at 28oz (6.0~6.5pH) distilled water.

Watering more heavily with nutrients (I water until run off) and still pH balanced (6.0~6.5). I have topped the 4 mains to start 8 mains. Defoliated the branches to have greater access to the plant for further training and to increase some of the growth efficiency to the 8 mains. My goal is at this point to keep in veg until I have 16 mains before allowing the plant to grow vertically prior to flower stage.

No real changes were made. She proceeds to grow under the current regimen and is fed til saturation every other day or so. I look for her reaction in the leaves, verifying with pot weight and soil moisture. I added some extra soil as the perlite was rising and some soil compaction was also evident. She is still working on a main-line technique until we hit 16 total tops. We currently have 8 growing a 3rd node. The site of the main stem junction where the first top was cut looks to have healed with strength. The plant shows no signs of disease or pests at this time. The plan is to top the 8 mains when enough of node 4 has grown to leave the appropriate stalk length.

@tNASTY3k, Just popped two. I'll refer to them Red Huntress as well.

@Happy_Roots, thanks growmie! Odds are I'm one of the responses on the Reddit thread you found. I've been active in the HSC reddit community with updates more often but I'll update this diary weekly. I'm nicknaming this Red Huntress, so if you search Reddit for that you should see me.
