Ciao guys, welcome to my first try with photoperiodic seeds. I've ordered 3 different kinds of seeds (Runtz, Kalini Asia and Critical - all Zamnesia Seeds). For the germination process I put all the seeds in a glass of water for 24h. After that I moved them into coconut pellets. This worked perfect for Kalini Asia and Runtz (plants were visible on the surface after the second day in the pellets). For Critical it didn't work as well. Therefore I started another try with 2 additional seeds in parallel with the paper towel technique after 24h in a glass of water - 1 of them germinated today. So the critical seed will be approx. 1 week behind the other 2 (see last picture). I'll be using a 20W LED after germination and in the first few weeks of vegetation phase (till they are too big for my little indoor grow house). Light on/off period per day is 18h/6h. The temperature in the little grow house is 25°C when the light is on and 20°C when it's off (thanks to the heat mat). My plan is to keep the babies indoor till around May. From May on I'll put them outside while the sun is present. After dawn they'll be moved inside. I'm not using any nutrient at the moment. I'll start with nutrients when I'll move them into the final pots. So thanks to you for stepping by and wishing you a wonderful time with your grow projects!

So far so good. Kalini Asia and Runtz are increasing the height very fast. But the trunks seem to be solid and stable. Let's see how they evolve the next days. I'm really happy that the Critical finally germinated and is doing good. She's about 1 week after the other two. As you can see in the last photo, the roots are already spiking through the pellets of the Kalini Asia and the Runtz. Therefore I'll put them into bigger pots during the week. I'll use nutrient-poor soil to not stress the babys too much. To be honest I didn't expect the roots to grow so fast. I think next time I won't use the pellets and put the seeds after germination directly into nutrient-poor soil...we'll see... So wishing you all a nice weekend and a lot of fun with your growing projects 😊

Hey guys! During the week I put the three little (hopefully) girls in bigger pots, since the roots were pushing through the coconut pellets (on the sides and the bottom). Into the pots I put nutrient-poor soil. I'm already curious to see how the three beauties will develop in the coming weeks. Enjoy your weekend!

Hey guys, we now reached week 3, in which I learned a lot, but I almost ruined my three little girls due to my beginner mistake: It all started with sciarids (little black flies) which seemed to love my grow house, since they invited more and more friends to join their party. I knew that the grubs of the sciarids can damage the roots of the little plants. Therefore I bought nematodes to kill the grubs. According to the instructions, I applied the nematodes with water (you should keep the pots wet for the nematodes)...until the whole pots were completely wet. 1-2 days later all three plants stopped growing 🙀 and the lower leafs started to loose the deep green color and got a yellow touch. Again 1 day later half of the lower leafs were yellow and the rest of the plant lost also the deep green color (see pictures above). At that point of time I removed big parts of the wet soil which was not already filled with roots and added new dry soil. Till today I stopped watering and I will continue to do so till it's almost completely dry. I also opened the roof of the little grow house in the last days to reduce the humidity. At the moment the situation of the plants is stabilized. The leafs are not getting worse and also the stupid flies are almost gone. Hopefully in the next days the three little girls will get the deep green color back and will start to grow again. If you have any good advices to support the well-being of the girls, please just leave a comment below. Thanks in advance! Thanks for stopping by and wishing you not to do the same stupid mistake I did 😉

Hey there! Very interesting and exciting week! I really learned a lot. After the over-watering issue from last week (growth stopped completely), the 3 beauties recovered beginning of the week and from day to day they became bigger and bigger. In the last picture you can also see that new leafs are starting to grow above each node. Although the Critical is 1 week behind the other 2 regarding the germination point of time, she's now the tallest in town (see first picture). Today I started the first time with topping with Kalini Asia (picture 2&3) and Runtz (5&6) above the fifth node. The Critical only has 4 nodes at the moment, therefore I'll wait for at least another week with topping. Yesterday evening, approx 1h after I watered them the sprouts and leafs started to hang down. It looked like that the water was sucked out of the plants and that they would collapse. In the morning everything was fine again and it seemed that they grew the whole night ;-). Does anyone know why this might have happened after the watering? (The soil was almost dry before the watering; The water had approx. 20°C; The temperature in the grow house = 25°C; Humidity = 60%) Cheers guys and enjoy your weekend!

Hi all, the Critical was topped this week (picture 2). After last weeks topping of Kalini Asia and Runtz the two new sprouts are starting to gain height (see picture 3 and 4) at the top. Since the plants are now getting too big for the pots, I'll move them to the final 15l pots in the next days. The sprouts of Kalini Asia and Runtz are hanging down a bit, although they should have enough water. I'm not sure about the root cause of it (nutrients,...). We'll see if the situation improves after they moved into the bigger pots. Cheers mates!

This week was very nice watching the three ladies grow. End of last week Kalini Asia and Runtz started to let the leafs hang down, when they still were staying in their old little 0,5l pots in the little grow house with the LED light. After I put them into the direct sunlight for 1 day they stretched the leafs and looked much better (I repeated this test to be sure that the root cause of the issue had to do with the grow house which was then confirmed). I don't exactly know what the root cause was, but perhaps it had something to do with the spectrum of the LED (blue) which is not enough anymore for the current vegetation phase of the plants. Nevertheless on Wednesday this week I put all 3 plants into bigger 15l pots, which you can see in the pictures above. In each pot I mixed the soil with 2 tablespoons mycorrhiza and 3 tablespoons of fertilizer (Italpollina 4:4:4). After that I watered the soil with 5l. I also sprayed a neem oil mixture over the leafs. But till now it didn't prevent some plant louse from sitting on the leafs 👻

Good week so far! It's really a big fun watching the three beauties getting bigger and bushier from day to day. Every second day I sprayed some neem oil mixture on the leafs ....but till now this didn't prevent some plant louses from making themselves comfortable on the ladies. Therefore I removed the louses manually every evening. So at the moment the girls are looking healthy and I hope it will stay like this.

This week was also good. Every second day I spayed neem oil on the plants. This week all 3 plants got a shot of water (each 3l). Runtz is the bushiest and seems to be the strongest of the three girls (2. Kalini Asia and 3. Critical).

Week 9 was ok so far. Except that I discovered that some leaves on Kalini Asia are curling as you can see in the last few pictures. Strange thing is that I don't see any pest insects (like e.g. plant louses). The last week I didn't spray neem oil on the plant. But now seeing the curled leaves I will start again to use it. During the week I topped all three plants again after the additional 5th nodes were formed. So hoping the sun will come back the next days and that the curled leaves are not a sign of a serious pest 😷. All the best for your grows 👊

Several leaves of my Kalini Asia plant are curling/twisted (see pictures). Since I don't see any pest insects at the moment I don't have a glue what it could be. Anyone knows what it is (today I started to spray neem oil on the leaves.)? Thanks in advance for your help!

Might just be growing pains and nothing to worry about, Could be something in the medium is off and causing the abnormal growth like a PH swing. If its progressing on new growth then its something to look into. Get runoff readings or a slurry test done then adjust from there. Do it slowly not aggressively if its soil. Good Luck!

Hi all, the girls are doing good. The number of twisted leaves did also not increase noticeable. Therefore as long as this is not changing I will ignore it. Yesterday it was the first time that I added some nutrients. I used less than half of the recommended amount. I will slowly increase the amount to the recommended level as long as the plants are not showing any signs of burning. They'll get one shot a week. Let's see if the ladies like it. So enjoy and have fun with your growing projects!

The 3 beauties are doing fine, even if the sun is not shining much at the moment. They increased their height by about 10cm this week. As you can see in the last 3 pictures some leaves are attacked by some little vermin. But at the moment I'm not worried about this, since only a few leaves and there only small parts are affected by this.

Everything is working fine. The plants are getting taller and more bushy. Vermin are also no issue at the moment. I was using neem oil once this week as a preventive measure. Still using half of the recommended amount of nutrient. Next week I'll increase the amount to the recommended dose.

The ladys are still doing fine, although the weather is not the best. Nevertheless they are enjoying each moment of sunshine. They reached a scale which requires watering almost every day. I also gave the recommended dose of nutrient for the first time. As a preventive measure I'm still spraying neem oil once a week.

All 3 are doing fine. Despite the shitty, rainy weather everything seems to be fine. Since I want the girls to start the flowering phase I started to give them only 12 hours of sun. Let's see if it works. Critical = 110 cm Kalini Asia = 100 cm Runtz = 95 cm

The week went fine. Since 1 week I started to give the plants only 12h of sunshine. During the week the first signs of flowering were visible. The biggest leaves started to get yellow. Today I removed most of them also to give more room for the buds and to have a better ventilation. Since flowering started I'm feeding the girls also with Bio-Bloom and Top-Max in addition. From next week or the week after I'll stop using Fish-Mix.

The older leaves are getting yellow and the buds are increasing size. As long as the newer leaves are still looking good as they do at the moment I'm not worried about a lot of leaves getting yellow. Since the girls are now in the flowering phase I won't use neem oil anymore as a preventive measure.

Buds are growing fast, but too many leaves are getting yellow. I guess it's coming from stress due to the variations of light hours I'm giving them. I hope I'm able to respect my schedule for bringing the girls in and out in the next days that the situation stabilizes.

This week we had days with 35°C and heavy rain on others. Unfortunately more and more leaves are getting yellow, despite the fact that I'm strictly respecting the schedule of 12 hours sun and 12 hours in absolute dark. The poor girls are currently looking like chicken without feathers. This will definitely have a bad impact on the bud production. Nevertheless I'll try my best to reduce the stress for the plants and give them the conditions and nutrients they need.

Unfortunately the situation didn't improve. The plants are still loosing a lot of leaves and look very bad. Of course also the buds stopped to increase the size. I increased the amount of CalMag, since a calcium/magnesium deficiency could also be the root cause. The issues described in different articles, caused by this kind of deficiency, are pretty much the same my plants are facing (also the pictures of the leaves getting yellow look the same). So I have to wait for approx. 1 week to see if this change of the CalMag amount helps. But perhaps it's already too late, since the plants are already in a really bad shape. But nevertheless I'm very curious to find out what the real root cause is to avoid this issue in the future. I also re-started to spray the plants with a neem oil mixture, since in 1 of my auto plants I saw some f... spider mites. Till now I didn't see them on the photos. But this could only be a matter of time. Also considering that the photos are not very strong at the moment. So I'm keeping all my green fingers crossed to see the 3 girls in a better condition next week 🙌

Since I started with 12h daylight/dark rhythm a lot of leaves started to turn yellow (older and lower ones first, some branches turned red). What I did: PH value=6.5. I added CalMag--no effect. I flushed the soil --no effect. Do you have any ideas? Thx green thumb-friends 👏

And the misery goes on ;-)...as you can see the plants are doing worse. More and more leaves are getting yellow and even some branches with small buds are bending down due to the little weight. What I tried starting end of last week is to give more Calmag and more Fish-Mix to the plants. So since about 1 week the plants got a higher dose of Calmag (2ml/l) and Fish-Mix (4ml/l). Fish-Mix I used also as a spray in addition. Till now I don't see any improvement. With these organic nutrients I should see some reaction about now. In addition I saw on 2-3 buds signs of spider mites with my microscope (a few spider ropes). Therefore I used neem oil spray (I know that you should avoid to spray it on buds to not get a bitter taste later, but I read on the RQS site that if you do it 3 weeks before the harvest it should be fine). So let's see if the situation stabilizes in the coming week...

On some leaves I saw signs of spider mites, which I then confirmed with the microscope. Since a lot of the trichomes were already milky and I wanted to avoid that the spider mites are traveling towards the buds, I started with the harvest a bit earlier even if I wanted to wait a bit more especially for the Indica dominant variant Kalini Asia. I also did bud washing for the complete Runtz harvest and parts of the Critical and Kalini Asia. I did this to wash away some residues from e.g. neem oil, smaller insects or other shit. And to improve the taste. Let's see if I can notice a difference... The drying process will be done in a little growing tent. Unfortunately the temperatures are a bit too high at the moment. Therefore I think the drying process will be a bit too fast...nevertheless I'll update you after I tried the 3 strains
