I do glass of water overnight then into a paper towel until the seed pops then into a leaf pellet until I plant in large pot , these plants spent 2 weeks or so in the seedling stage on my window sill middle of winter so was never going to reach full potential . Needed to provide heat as in a cold climate which is why I went with a hps light . Blackberry moonrocks autos in the two pots on the left and mac muffin by tastebudz at in the front right which turned out to be a photoperiod so doing a separate log on
Starting to see progress under the light, had it set at 250w to start with ,Never used HPS before wouldn’t be my first choice but I need the heat, I’m still unaware that the front right plant is photoperiod at this point .
Not much to say for this week not much change , I was using an old bag of soil that had been sitting around all year and it seemed to run out of nutes very fast
This is where I noticed the soil was very low in nutes and started adding some into watering , usually I would just scrap the small one but I mixed up the two other seeds so I thought I needed it to beable to tell the difference 🤣 . Started some lst on the bigger of the two & had turned the light up to 400w
This isn’t a full week but have big gaps in at this stage bigger one just started to flower as it sat for a week longer on the windowsill but big progress since switching to 400w was struggling to deal with the heat though at times
This is where I new for sure the plant was photoperiod and finally checked the seed packaging which confirmed, this ruined my plan for the year slightly but happy with the progress considering I gave them such a bad start , kept my expectations low but just wanted to see the grow through
Never seen bud as dark purple as this was was liking the grow so far would definitely like t do the strain again and give them the best chance to produce beautiful buds
Have some gaps in the photos so none of these are exactly a week apart some are less some are more , tried using my led for a couple of days because I was sick of the yellow from the bulb as it can make leaves seem much more yellow than they actually are I struggled with this throughout the grow having to take the plants outside the tent and shine a torch to beable to see the actual colour of the leaves overall pretty happy for how long they sat on the window ledge
Love how the buds look , I sort of gave up training these early on and just allowed them to grow I didn’t top these plants as had already wasted enough time on window ledge but definitely would do it once in the future with autos as I find it much easier to manage
Smelled unreal at this stage and loved how the plants looked was getting eager to chop at this stage, this is the most accurate of nutes I used never set it right through the log as was posting all at once I was using the grow and then bloom from about week 3 into the grow
Ended up with just over and oz between the two plants in the end like I said wasn’t expecting much off the as spent 2-3 weeks on the window ledge as seedlings :( overall easy grow but hate having to use the HPS
