OG Kush - Royal Queen Seeds

mistercaqp The result of the first week of vegetation is somewhat sobering. Only one of 3 plants looks really healthy. One of the three seems to be genetically defective, the other looks stressed. The OG Kush seems to be a bit bitchy. The humidity was definitely too low during the week. From the second week onwards, the humidity will be kept at 60% for the time being. The plant is watered a little every 2-3 days. It will probably be repotted at the end of week two. I am curious to see how the plants will develop in the second week of vegetation.

mistercaqp This week you can see a clear improvement on last week. All three plants have been repotted from the seed pots into 1L pots. Each plant was given 5g BioGrow from Green House Feeding in 1L of substrate. After repotting, the plants were watered with plenty of water so that the soil was properly moistened. The distance to the lamp is currently 50cm. The daytime temperature in the greenhouse is between 22-25 degrees Celsius and at night between 18-22 degrees. Humidity is currently constant between 50-60%. Two of the plants look very healthy and have made a significant boost in the last week. One of the three plants has also grown, but it is probably genetically defective as it is not forming new pairs of leaves and looks mutilated.

mistercaqp The development of both plants has been very pleasing to observe over the last week. Both have developed extremely well and have grown strongly in both width and height. The third plant was destroyed as it had already become apparent that it was genetically defective. The focus is now on the two healthy plants. No fertilizer was given during the week and. The plants were simply watered and the humidity was kept constant. The plan is to top the plants at the end of the week.

mistercaqp Last week, both plants were topped to limit their height growth. Since then, the plants have recovered well and, above all, have increased in width. LST has already been used on one of them to bring more light to the individual shoots. The plant has not been fertilized this week. Both plants were transferred from a 1L pot to a 5L pot. Flowering will be initiated in the coming week and the exposure time set to 12/12. A fan heater has also been purchased for the greenhouse to keep the temperature at a constant 23 to 27 degrees Celsius. The humidity is currently between 60-70%.

mistercaqp This week, after 4 weeks in vegetation, flowering was initiated with an exposure time of 12/12. At the beginning of the week, Green House Feeding added 1g/l Bio Enhancer for better nutrient uptake. In addition, Green House Feeding's BioBloom fertilizer was given at 10g for each of the 8l pots. The fertilizer was sprinkled on top of the soil and is rinsed into the soil with every watering. Apart from that, both plants have developed very well and have made another significant stretch thanks to the change in light. The right-hand plant in particular has responded very well to the topping and has produced two thick main shoots for the head colas. The plant on the left has stretched less but has produced an extremely large number of side shoots. In order to bring the light to the shoots, the plants are continuously defoliated and the shoots are trained to bring them upwards.

mistercaqp This week I changed the setup and invested in a better lamp: SANlight EVO 1.5 LED . The ventilation system was changed to an S&P TD-250/100 Silent with Prima Klima Eco Line K2600-mini activated carbon filter. No fertilizer was added this week, only water. The plants look very healthy and I am more than happy with the new setup.

mistercaqp The phenotypes of the two plants now show another clear difference. The plant on the left has developed two equally large, beautiful main stems and is small and bushy, as I would expect from an OG Kush or an Indica. The plant on the right has put on another extreme stretch during flowering, as you would expect from a Sativa. I therefore had to tie off the two main stems to prevent them from suffering burns at the top of the lamp. The buds are now clearly visible. The odor has increased significantly and is already very pungent in the third week of flowering. We did not fertilize this week but only added 10g BioEnhancer from GreenHouse Feeding to 1 liter of water.

mistercaqp This week the leaves were removed again so that the flowers all get the same amount of light. I had to tie down one of the two plants, otherwise it would grow too close to the light. The growth phase is now definitely underway and the plants are concentrating on forming the flowers. The flowers have already become much thicker and the first leaves are sugared :) No fertilizer was added this week, just 2ml/l Neem Oil.

mistercaqp The buds have increased significantly in volume again in the last week. One of the two plants has developed a CalMag deficit. The necessary products have been ordered for this. This will be counteracted as soon as they arrive.

mistercaqp Buds get thicker and thicker :) Added some CalMag from Canna Mono.

mistercaqp The buds started to get very thick! First leafs turned yellow and purple. More and more hairs start to get amber. Maybe 2 more weeks in and they will be ready for harvest :)

mistercaqp The plant is now absolutely in the final phase. The trichomes already look very good under the microscope. We expect to harvest at the weekend. The purple discoloration looks absolutely beautiful :)

mistercaqp In general I would say the OG Kush from RQS ist easy to grow. But I didn't like that the phenotypes are so different. The one plant looks like I perfect Kush: Small, bushy & big buds. The other plant stretched like an Sativa, didn't like that.
