Dirtyfa Upgrade!!!! The ladies are now 11 days old and today they received a second Fecida cr600. Now we can have 2 under one and one under another, and the red-blue light is positioned in the middle so that all the ladies get some of it. Additionally, I tilted the lights slightly in the middle so they develop a good overall strength. Previously, I was at 69% with just one lamp to ensure that each lady gets at least 40000 Lux. Now they are getting 40000-46000 Lux. Now let's wait and see if the growth improves. In the last few days, they have slowly but surely achieved a good 2-3cm of growth without stretching. They are nicely producing foliage. Additionally, I'm using a small USB fan for fresh air intake. The exhaust is still turned off since it doesn't smell yet. There's also a clip fan hanging in the tent between the lights and the carbon filter. In the upper right corner, I have another USB fan that provides wind, so all sides of the plants are supplied with wind and fresh air. DO YOU HAVE TIPS?!?!?!? If you have any tips for me on how to make the ladies even happier, please share! I want to give them a nice time until harvest.

Dirtyfa The ladies are now 16 days old, I've raised the lights from 35cm to 50cm high. The girls are having some trouble growing. Plus, this is my first indoor grow. So I still need to learn more about the technique. Previously, I had about 44000 Lux on the plants, now we're at 36-38000 Lux, I hope this will promote more growth. Do you have any other tips? They're also starting to smell a bit, the scent is already hinting at the flavor. In the last two pictures, there's something I can't identify, is that already flower formation or even male with bad luck, or is it a leaf shoot that will grow on the side branch? I appreciate any help and tips that can help me get more growth out of them.

Its too early pal You're in the stretching phase before going into pre flower. Some fems ran for a good few weeks will show sex like this just starting. 1-2 more days you will see signs of hairs. This is in relation to an auto from Fastbuds..mate they don't do reg autos. They're all fems. And even seeds marked fem a small % will throw out a sac (hermie) and i think its like 1-1000 that youll get a male (THAT'S IN FEM SEEDS, STRONG BEEDING BACKGROUND) YOU won't see male autos from fastbuds In 7-10 days. You'll see bracts..you should see single balls with 1 hair. (Few sacs without hairs are hernies and very rare with fastbud seeds.

Dirtyfa This week will focus once again on LST. Starting from week 5, there won't be as much LST, just flowering arrangements. At the beginning, I made a few mistakes in the first weeks. The tent was too small, I didn't create proper air circulation, and there was hardly any oxygen exchange. Since moving to the larger tent and being much more sensible with the setup of exhaust, intake, and fans, the girls are doing great; in about 5 hours, the girls grow about 2 cm. If I had done it this way from the start, those three would definitely be proper bushes by now. But a buddy also told me that it's part of it. You have to make mistakes to learn from them and get to know your setup better. He was probably right about that. I'm already looking forward to the next run; I won't make those mistakes again. The LST was finished on day 27, and you can clearly see that more flowers are forming that are thicker than if I had just let the Christmas tree grow. The stem has gained a decent thickness and has become quite woody at the bottom; the side branches also have very strong stems. I have hope for a great harvest. Even though the start was rocky with mistakes, the care they've received now has shown a significant boost in strength. And just because the ladies aren't too big, they shouldn't be underestimated. The branches are stronger than those of many larger ones. Maybe someone has experiences and will share them with me.

Blackberry Auto fastbuds 25cm size Has been flowering for a few days already. Is the size okay for day 28? The branches seem thicker to me than some of the bigger plants. Can we roughly estimate what the ladies might yield?

I really can’t talk about what they should be like for 28 days days as autos aren’t my thing. What I can say is it would be hard to guess at this point in time what they’d harvest. Still early yet and aside from that, very plant is different. Buds themselves are different. I could have two plants identical in size and buds, but let’s say one plant has light, airy buds & the other has dense, heavy buds. Well, we know one’s going to produce a lot more weight. Anyhow, if you’re happy with the size of your plant then you’ll probably be happy with the size of her harvest. Good luck

Dirtyfa Today, on day 28, I applied LST again. I wanted to spread the branches and the crown further apart so they can be better evenly supplied with light. Additionally, they were dipped today. Light bright tips and crooked leaves have appeared where I was advised to dip. Also, the ventilation system has been optimized; old air is filtered out of the house, and fresh cool air is drawn in separately. This air is first sucked into a small tent so that it mixes a bit with the room air, and from there it goes into the big tent. The small tent is otherwise only used for drying. Now it's time to wait, watch the flowers grow, and see what final size they will reach. The first purple buds are already forming, and all 3 are flooded with flower stamps. I have high hopes for the ladies that they will reward me generously, despite the initial difficulties. Even though they are not very big, they have really strong thick branches that are already getting a lot of flowers. Anyone with experience can share it with me; I look forward to any exchange.

Dirtyfa This week I'm leaving a few side shoots supported so the buds don't steal light from each other. Otherwise, there won't be any defoliation this week, and no more LST will be done. The ladies are getting 1.5 liters daily. Today was the last time for flowering nutrients. Since I suspect we're in the last 2-3 weeks. And I didn't want to smoke nutrients. So now only water will be given. Mid to late week 8, I will then lollipop the plant. So I'll cut everything except for the sugar leaves and the buds, so that in the last week the remaining energy goes only into the buds.

What do you think, how much longer until harvest? The trichomes are all milky now. Is 50% or how much amber ideal if I want to be stoned and not high?

I probably wouldn't go much more than 20% amber. It's going to continue to ripen during your dry and cure and by 50% you're likely going to have a bit turning grayish, which is totally degraded. That doesn't get you high or stoned, it just makes you wanna take a nap.

What do you think about the 3 ladies, are they okay for their age? Today is Day 16 since the seeds were planted?!?! Or do you have recommendations on how I can get the ladies to grow more?

GanYan commented2y ago
@Dirtyfa, my update for the third week will come tomorrow, then you can make a comparison. I have a feeling that our ladies look/similar and are at the same stage, but you're just a week ahead :)
Waveform
Waveform commentedweek 22y ago
We are, I can't explain why, roughly at the same stage. Your conditions seem to be quite similar to mine, except for the lighting. But I definitely don't have the knowledge to say more than that your assumption about the lack of light might be correct. Although you're using a lot more power than I am, even if the Fecida doesn't really have 1000W according to the comment. But if they keep growing steadily, I wouldn't worry too much for now.
Dirtyfa
Dirtyfa commented2y ago
@Waveform, what a coincidence that this comes about, hehe. Finally, we get to do it. Yeah, since they all grow towards the lamp except for the one in the back right, it seems the ladies want more light. I’ve raised it to 39000-48000 Lux for now so that the girls don’t starve for light until the second lamp arrives. As far as I know, 7000-8000 is good for germination. And during the vegetation stage, you should go between 15000-50000 depending on the genetics. I read that the Blackberry from Fast Bud likes it at 40000 Lux during vegetation, but that makes sense since it’s a plant from California. Important: never go over 75000. I’m aware that the Fecida doesn’t have 1000w; its power consumption is around 130w. But the Fecida is also very popular among growers in the USA for quite some time and has shown that it can deliver good yields. The 1000 version is more suited for 2 plants rather than 3 as it’s advertised. Therefore, my tent is getting another upgrade; I’ll have 2x 130w Fecida and 1x e27 100w with more red-blue content in full spectrum. In the end, it’s cheaper than with a San Light. On Friday, there will be an update on how they’ve developed. And the setup of the lights will also be presented then. So far, the 3 are growing little by little. Now on day 10, they’re not quite as far along as yours but close. I believe your strains have different genetics, though. My girls are supposed to start flowering very early and gain quite a bit of size during flowering. I’m not sure how the Pineapple Express is bred. But feel free to give me feedback on how you like them. I still have Zamnesia seeds and some from Sweet Seeds. But one thing at a time.

What should diving be? I also have slightly yellow tips but thought that was from a bit too much light?
Dirtyfa
Dirtyfa commented2y ago
@Mike_269, soaking means filling a tub so that the pot fits in, preferably a fabric pot. Just make sure the water is only as high as the soil so that no water runs in from the top. Then you push it down into the water until the top layer of soil gets wet too. After that, let the water drain well. Don’t be surprised if the soil is dry; it takes a moment for the top layer to get water. This way, the soil gets evenly moist and settles well again, making it more uniformly wet during the next watering. Some do this with autos 1-2 times per life cycle. I was advised to do it since 3-4 leaves grew crooked. And the light tips appeared. I initially thought it was the light and raised my lamps from 36cm to 48cm. I had no success. My lamps run at 82%, which is about 40000-50000 Lux. I think that should be moderate for the strain during the week; I’ve read that it likes to be run between 45000-65000 Lux. But be careful, you should never exceed 75000 Lux. I was also considering heat stress. But after some modifications and upgrades, I’m no longer struggling with 30 degrees. I also rule out nutrient deficiency and overwatering since the leaves turned yellow from the outside. Sorry, I was in the flow, but I think these are some important facts.
