OOOHHHH boy. My poor lil buddy had an unfortunate accident this week. I popped my seed and transferred to its final growing pot (as I usually do) and moved her outside. I covered her with a jar for a makeshift little greenhouse and thought all was well. I was WRONG. Something happened. IDK if it was heat, cold, over water, under water or the loch ness monster, but something went down. The good news? She's still alive!.... for now. I have moved the plant indoors and have her vegging under a couple flouro bulbs and I am still seeing growth. Somehow nutrients are still finding a way through that shriveled little stem. This was my first time popping a seed in rockwool and I recall reading about someone else having a similar issue. Well, life finds a way. and if not, Mugatu germs a new seed 😁
Wow. I thought for sure this lil beauty was a goner. Not only is she growing new leaves, but she is slowly standing herself back up! Im really impressed with the resilience of these genetics.
Its been a long few weeks, Life gets crazy with a 4 month old! Anyway, I will be updating this diary again till harvest. This little plant is amazing. It has survived multiple broken branches, low light conditions (growing in a window) and no nutrients. She is still as green and happy as ever. I have ungraded to a new 4x4x7 tent and will finish the grow in it. Yields probably will be low, but this is still a fun plant to grow.
Its been a long time since an update! XXL is doing great in the grow tent. Things sure have changed from when I started this plant as windowsill science experiment! All the colas feel nice and dense
Another long lost entry for the Critical XXL Auto. She is coming along nicely and fattening up. Buds are super dense. Smell isn’t super pronounced, but that could be from the carbon filter. She’s nothing special and this diary is full of gaps, but I’m looking forward to harvest.
Some great uplifting buds. For an indica I find the high to be very energizing. So far I’ve just been making small batches of rosin with it and the taste is amazing.
The was a really fun strain to grow. No matter what I threw at her she continued to grow with vigor. I supercropped every vertical stem and it didn’t even phase her. One of the branches BROKE OFF COMPLETELY and I was able to duct tape it back on and it kept growing! These are some amazing genetics. I am satisfied with the 49.6 ounces considering this start as a grow for fun in my window. All in all, I highly recommend this strain and look forward to growing it again.0
You can use a twisty from bread to fashion a little loop, jam it into the rockwool and form a loop at the top to hold her upright. I have pics of it in my 2nd hydro grow in week 2 or something. Good luck! Here is the link:
