Single seed dropped (04/08/24) in to a seed soak, consisting of 1g HPO green supreme and 1g HPO anti matter stirred into 250ml of tank water, Ph’d to 6.4ish. Transferred to a cotton pad after soaking for 24 hours and displaying the taproot, remaining on the pad for a further 24. Next the seed went straight into its final 4 gallon pot with coco, worm castings and perlite, watered with 60ml of pH’d water and topped with a 7 inch humidity dome. seedling popped (04/10/24) with no husk complications. Healthy, large, dark green cotyledon leaves, substantial stalk, extremely small single serrated leaves. First two days saw a concerning amount of stretch. Staked and supported, distance to light reduced further. She’s bottom heavy, thick long stem, tiny top. Day 1 IPM: 1 tsp Dalotia Rove Beetle and standard sticky trap dispersal. Boomshanka 🤙 Booka.

Not a lot to report. Seedling continued to stretch but did fill out her top and finally grew into her legs. She’s trying her hardest to test the structural integrity of her stem. Remains staked and supported. She currently resides in a nursery tent (75-80% RH) with her tent sister (Cherry OG - Aeque Genetics/Candyjar Exotics collab (freebie). Previously under some nondescript CFL bulbs, they have since been swapped out for a Mars Hydro RP2000 set to 60% output at 36 inches rendering approximately 150-180 PPFD across the tent floor, done in an attempt to halt the stretch. Receives 60ml of unadulterated rainwater a day. Due for an increase to 120ml and the introduction of her nutrients. Boomshanka 🤙.

Much like last week she has well and truly grown into her legs. Gorgeous 1 and 3 serrated leaves and a flawless set of 5 fingered true leaves. Beautiful vigour and immaculate leaf structure. She remains supported because… I’m lazy and it can’t hurt lol, hoping for more stalk integrity with the addition of a new nutrient line, bio diesel. I love High Powered Organics but chose to run Purple Wedding Glue and her tent sisters, Cherry OG and now also O-Gee Cheeze (both also Aeque Genetics) on a new, more readily absorbed line. All have received a seedling dose of the veg solution, halved over again AND their first spritz of bio diesel’s foliar solution including Grow Genius silica. After hardening off somewhat and establishing a firm root their lighting was dropped from 24/0 to 18/6 much to their delight. Tent RH has already been dropped to 65-70%, increasing PAR over the next few days. Zero evidence of Gnats or other pests, Dalotia colony active and healthy. Early days yet but on track for a happy harvest. Boomshanka 🤙 Booka @ BestenDank

Purple Wedding Glue “Mother Superior” continues to go from strength to strength. The Nun, spends her mornings praying to the heavens, thanking the Flying Spaghetti Monster for an opportunity to strut her shit for the boys. Fit, fine form. Width in all the right places and legs for days, just a sexy bish. This week saw a drop in RH to a solid 60% and an increase in light output. The Nun now resides under 250ppfd and is soaking it up. Undiluted, she feeds every other day on a full strength nutrient solution, up from a half strength dose and receives regular foliar feeds as well. Next week will see her and her tent sister (Cherry OG - Aeque Genetics) moved from the nursery tent, to their final grow space and starting their veg nute solution. Bout time these ladies earn their keep. Quick second for mad shout outs to the lads and lasses from aeque-genetics.ca candyjarexotics.com and hydroathome.com.au for their quality control, attention to detail and guidance and mentorship. Y’alls effort makes this a breeze. Again, no complaints and on track to pull quality 🔥 once again. Much love, stay lifted and Boomshanka 🤙 Booka @ BestenDank

The moniker Mother Superior is apt. Purple Wedding Glue stands a full two node spaces taller than her tent sisters and holds court while pontificating on the virtues of hard work and being a sexy bitch 💅. There’s argument to be made about genetics and structure but there’s also no denying that the Nun dug a little deeper and found something that her peers didn’t or couldn’t. With the onset of pistils, Purple Wedding Glue saw a rehoming with an entirely different set of environmental parameters, namely slightly higher DLI and a crash in humidity to 50-55% that she accepted with grace and poise followed also by a jump in nutrition with the start of her flowering solution minus the first week of flower K dose. And that’s where the complications set in… As I write this I’m looking at the start of leaf stress, inward curling on the new growth sans any burning or clawing, that I’m attributing to myself and my propensity to push the envelope in the name of frugalness. Bio diesel state very clearly on their foliar feed chart “we advise using Rhino K within the first 24 hours of mixing”… I did not lol, and I now believe that 72 hours is asking too much of the solution 🤣. So the foliar application of K brought with it a hiccup but nothing dramatic, lesson learned, only fresh foliar mixtures from now on. But that situation lead me to leave out the K from PWG’s first coco soak. In saying all that the K application did see a tightening and decrease in node spacing and subsequently a slow in vertical growth. A welcome and expected result as PWG was suffering from a slight case of scoliosis due to cramping in the nursery tent. And smell. PWG now comes equipped with an olfactory experience. A deep waft of her admittedly early main cola site suggests a slight but evident dank on the front and burned coffee on the back, no doubt to change and evolve as she matures but any scent beyond planty chlorophyll gets a smile. Probably way more that I’m leaving out but, hey, if you drop by and have grown Aeque Genetics before, drop me a link in the comments. Got love for the company and enjoy seeing their lines grown out. Stay lifted, love and boomshanka 🤙 Booka @ BestenDank
