Hey Growmies!
Welcome back to my mini garden! ;)
This time I'm trying a sponsored seed drop from Divine Seeds! Big Thanks for the support!!!
The growing medium:
1. 25% Reused ATAMI peat moss mix (Janeco Light Mix)
2. 30% Extra perlite
3. 30% Home made compost (Prepped for 3 months in plastic bag on my balcony from kitchen scraps, lot of used tea leaves, guinea pig poop, cardboard. I didn't care too much just continuously adding stuff and mixing sometimes. Probably not fully or perfectly matured, but still gonna give some boost.)
4. 14% worm castings 8-7-6
5. 0.5-1% home cooked beef/fish bone meal
6. 2 tablespoon of EPSOM salt
Continuously working to improve my mix and learning/experimenting with organics.
The grow box, is the same DIY cardbox/mylar combo 45x45x140cm. + 6 pcs of 12V 120mm PC fans for airflow.
The light is a rack of 7 pcs of E27 sockets. Filled with regular 1000/1500lumen Osram/Philips LED bulbs, diffusor removed. 4000k at veg phase, then 2700K at bloom.
Watering with carbon filtered water this time.
So let's get to it!
09/04 - Start of 24h soak in water + drop of H2O2
10/04 - Seed shell opened. Moved to final 23l pot. Sprinkled and covered with plastic cup for top humidity.
11/04 - Lights on for 18/6 40W@40cm (dli 7.5)
13/04 - Seedling above ground. 🌱👏
14/04 - Shell fully opened, first leaves starting to emerge.
15/04 - Seedling quite leggy, increased light to 53w@40cm (dli 11)
16/04 - White translucent spot on one of the leaves. Caught 5 fungus gnats with yellow sticky + sprayed organic pyrethrin dilution all over the soil. 🤞
17/04 - She is about 6 cm tall. Adjusted the order of bulbs in light grid, current dli 14 (@35cm).
18/04 - She is starting to grow, photosynthesis is full on. Switching to vegetative stage, germination week successful 🌱👏
@Puff_TM_Dragon, Actually this is the second seed from the same batch. The first one had been struggling to come to life, so I gave up and started this one.
Wishing all the best for your Opium! Happy to hear she is finally up, and sure those couple of days will be nothing in some weeks.
Enjoy the grow!
