Grow Questions

Can't see any brown trichomes on my Sherbet and Timanfaya. I have grown them outdoors for 15 weeks now and I'm hesitant to harvest because I can't see any brown trichomes under the magnifying glass. Could you have a look at my plants and tell me what you think. THX in advance

Hello HerrTom, Usually I tell people to wait till 10% is amber. This is a great way to tell a beginner the aproximate time to harvest. But what you really want is as many trichomes milky white. The best would be 100% milky white because clear as glass means not developped yet and amber means that you are too late. So what I try to tell you is, check if most trichomes are milky white. Not clear as glass and not amber. Then it is the right time for harvest. When I look at your plant I would say that it is about time. Happy Harvest Buddy! 💚

@Hattiwatti, Don’t want to put too much effort into it. I’m definitely not a heavy user and so it won’t be worth it. 30g would be a tremendous result. Not looking for the biggest yield but for a pleasant experience looking after and caring for these plants.

@HerrTom, good way to start learning cultivating. My first grow had 6 x 15w esl bulbs, bag seed ofcourse, stolen soil from town flower bench and some Basic flower nutrient. Got 30g from it and that was pretty crazy amount for me that days. Still like to do lot of things by myself. Not the prettiest things but working.

@Hattiwatti, Thanks, first try. Not expecting too much from three plants on my window sill. I’m kind of intimidated by all the professional set ups you see round here.

@HerrTom, you got to harvest, well done. Tried out the first time as well this year in germany. Lost 1 plant out of 3. Harvested 25g with the other two. Second grow already 25g per plant. Very thick buds. Keep on growing :)
