The first plucking can be done after the 3d week of flower, once the stretch has finished. After that there are 2 ways: do a second major defoliation 3 weeks later or light defoliation every few days.

Small defoliate right before or at flowering....wait another couple weeks and do another small defoliation. Aim for less is more....you can always take away some but you can't add it back. Oh and defoliate very close to harvest too just to get those big things outta the way and don't have to deal with it when you're trying to chop the plant down

I take a controversial position on this topic. Excessive leaves can inhibit flower growth because they harbor humidity and crowd the flowers, not because the flowers themselves need direct light. @ExperimentGreen made a valuable point about taking it easy on the defoliation. Provided you have vertical space, near the end of the veg stage, consider moving your light higher (or plant lower) to induce stretch, exposing bud sites to air and room to grow. Defoliate the lower leaves that are stacked upon one another. Does this work? It doesn’t not work, meaning my results are inconclusive. It appears to work, but I am not conducting clinical trials here.

@growdoctordc, great information. And let me just say that's probably the best answer I've heard in a long time, "Does it work? It doesn't not work" I'm seriously stealing that answer for literally everything in my life.

use a razor to shave off that naner and check twice a day thoroughly to make sure that was the last of them. no need to waste the whole plant or grow over this, not yet

Hey there, I'm still pretty new at this, but I was wondering if the buckets had holes in the bottom for proper drainage. I may be wrong but it looks like the leaves are drooping from overwatering. Best of luck! 👍 https://www.growweedeasy.com/overwatering-cannabis

Hello HighTV, Any time now, They are coming into 8 weeks but the first week was a seedling spectrum and 2nd week was half way to full veg spectrum. next is a pre-flower spectrum. hopefully they will stretch.
