Flowering started: Saturday I switched the nutrients in the reservoir to flowering specifications after installing the SCROG and giving a massive trimming. After the final lights out Saturday, 3pm which was an extended session, I switched the timers to come on again Sunday on a period of 8pm to 8am (12 hours). The photos added today are from This morning after the first 12 hour period before the first lights our for 12. *fingers crossed*

Thanks for the advice bud! that's exactly what I did last Saturday before I fell ill. Otherwise I would have posted that update. Hopefully it keeps it in check until I get my flush going. I've missed out on a lot of post so I'm going to have to check your results soon.

@Fifty5ive, np - been sick myself as well. Mine is following almost in lockstep with ur clones. They just started showing a little bit of nute burn on the tips - either that or they’re colouring over due to doneness. Haven’t updated week 8 yet but I’m starting flush week 9 in a couple days. Hey - the genetics are on par and stable. What more can U ask for right? Lookn good dude👍

@Fifty5ive , how long do/did you top water the seedling at the beginning of the grow until it reaches the Autopot reservoir?

@Fifty5ive, good info, thanks!

@MovingOn, The 3 clones were in the initial cups using the vermiculite / coco coir medium from the 23rd of October to 2nd of November which is when I transplanted them to the prepared Auto-pots. While in the cups, I kept them in a humid environment (70 -80%) with a CFL over them for a 16 hour cycle. They were fed initially using a variation of the vegging formula which I topped lightly with RO water when they lost moisture. Used: Growing Edge Technologies -Let's Grow A&B -Power Thrive When I finally transplanted to the Auto-Pots, I rinsed the coir and vermiculite in RO water and then let them drain over night. Then I filled my pots and soaked the medium in the pots with the vegging formula which I did until it started draining. At this point I transplanted the clones with their current matching media into the pots and let them sit for 6 or 8 days to root and adjust in their new tent before I started the Auto-Pot reservoir link-up to the system. I generally do 10L to 20L fill-ups of the reservoir at a time to ensure balance. I hope that answers your question! -55

Lookn good and very close to chop indeed... grabbed the scissors for mine the other day and then decided to give er a little more time👍. Pretty sure mines going closer to a full 10 weeks not the 9 I originally predicted. Probably can’t go wrong at this point but what’s the rush right? Good luck on the weigh dude. Can’t wait to make some comparisons.👊

Nice update dude. And yeah - that’s textbook calcium deficiency. Realistically - you’re so close to finish that it’s not a major issue. If I’m assuming correctly, you’re 1-2 weeks out to chop with one of those weeks being the flush. If your still feeding this week I’d add in a little calmag if you can find some but overall - I don’t expect this to be an issue as you move into the harvest window.👍. Good luck homie, looking forward to the finish👊

Wow i really like your grow room set up and bubble has you made... I’m debating if. I should make some hash too, what kind of materials did you use?
Fifty5ive
Fifty5ivecommented6 years ago
@MaryJaneUSA, Thank you. The hash was simple to make, but it took effort and time. I will detail document the method next time perhaps. Needed: -Micron filter bags: For separating the hash from the rest of the particles of plant matter. -Micron filter mats: For drying the hash. -5 gallon buckets(5+): More than 5 for collecting the filtered water. -5 gallon bucket(1): With bottom cut out to make it an open ended cylinder to hold the micron bags and drain into other buckets. -Ice cubes: Lots of them if possible as this was what was used to flash freeze and separate the trichome particles. -Heavy duty drill: Something with a cord recommended as you will be using it for long periods of time and a battery would need replacing many times. -Metal paint mixer attachment: For mixing the ice into the plant material and making a green margarita. -Timer: your phone should do, you need to set a timer to know how long to mix segments. That is about it for the materials used for that batch of ice a hash. There are other methods to consider, but that is what we tried out for that batch and the results are really good. The micron bags basically separate the trichome particles like a sieve after being frozen and crushed with the ice in the bucket blender. The only thing about this that was difficult was the amount of time it takes stirring the ice into the plant matter. I would say it took a few hours and recommend wearing ear-plugs as the drill and crushing ice can be deafening! There is probably some good websites with a full explanation out there for you to follow. Honestly, the process was blurry for timing used as my friend was the one instructing me for this method this round and helping while we were at his place after a full day of trimming and a bit of product testing ;)
