"Auto-pots rolled out!" As of Tuesday last week, I have the auto-pots with flow on. As I am mainlining these ladies, I will be training further this week. I have also added two T5 6400 k grow bulbs to the tent. midweek update: It looks like I'm going to be mainlining / manifolding and photos are updated with some of my progress.

oops! I split the main by accident and didn't notice. wrapped it with some wire looks like it's growing through it. I also almost had a freak out thinking that those were signs of a hermaphrodite right above the main in the first shot where it shows it split. Sorry for the delay on week 5 was a bit busy and out of town at the start of it. Also, due to the circumstances I had to hold mainline off as it didn't want to stress plant number one after splitting it.

Pre-LST pics are now in. (Nov 26) #1 which was split a bit is still growing well and I don't think the damage made any difference. #2 seems more laid back in it's growing. Both are really tight and bushy. Getting really sticky too. Ill be sure to keep the Purple off in future photos as well. *Updated the nutrients as well. This is what I have been running since starting auto-pot flow. **update nov 29 I have updated some more photos after a large amount of grooming to the ladies. I also took the Band-Aid off number one's stem just to allow better flow and growth again. Looks pretty good.

Time to grow. I noticed that the fan was drying out number two's soil and there wasn't as much water in the autopot reservoir. So, I've swapped positions (autopots) of one and two to see if that changes growth. I think this week I'll be looking into getting scrog net ready.

After the final lights out Saturday, 3pm which was an extended session, I switched the timers to come on again Sunday on a period of 8pm to 8am (12 hours). The photos added today are from This morning after the first 12 hour period before the first lights our for 12. *fingers crossed*

Start of week 2 updated. I will be updating photos throughout the week. *Tuesday, updated photos *Wednesday updated photos (I will work on better quality next time) I run lights 8pm to 8am and I Guess now is a good time to explain the current lighting setup. I was originally going to run the LED I have through veg and replace it for flower, but it seems that I will not be getting the HLG knock-off top bin board 240W I ordered for a while due to postal issues. So, I am going to try and run this with what I have now. -Claimed "1000W" ONEO (Full Spectrum) LED (I believe it actually is 180W at the socket) -2 x 24" Sunblaster T5's I put in there to optimize a bit of spread and spectrum. They fit perfectly around the ONEO so I though, why not. So, I might upgrade in the new year or I might just run these out and see what happens. **Update Samsung 301B Quantum boards are enroute and should be here today! *Friday: SO, I got the quantum boards and I had to install them. They are really looking good so far. But, It just jumped up in heat as the meanwell has a short cable and I can not get it outside the tent until I get an extension for the main cable. Otherwise, I had all three running and it was tremendous light. See updated Pics!

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm out of town so hopefully things stay going while I'm gone. Automation sure is Handy. I will update more when I get back! *Friday update -added some more photos from tonight. - removed a mass of fly leaves to decrease denseness for underlying buds. The girls are growing really fast! I really like these lights. A bit hot, but I moved the ballast outside of the tent right away. I didn't need the ONEO at all and it is vegging a clone in another area now. More updates (Sunday) They smell so amazing and fruity... I can't get enough of that.

*Tuesday morning updates -missed yesterday's update, but I am sure you get the idea. A lot of thick happening. -smell is getting stronger, I am glad i double sized my carbon filter. No smell outside of the tent. -smell is sweet and fruity and delicious, but definitely cannabis overtones. Still on the same recipe for 'nutes. They are drinking a lot more. I also lowered the lights an inch and into the stretch and they seemed to be fine. *Thursday night update Thirsty! Another 20 liters of mix as they sucked the reservoir dry. -added images to the week. *Friday night update -Tried to figure out my phone to get better images with less washout. -I will keep working at it ;)

*Monday! ------ 7 weeks in... I am noticing a little leaf discoloration. I figure it is probably nutrient build-up. I am getting close to the end so I am not going to make any drastic changes. I might just dilute future water/auto-pot fert top offs. Ill be making a flush in about a week or 2 anyway. *Tuesday night I topped off the reservoir with another 20 l as the ladies were drinking it dry. This time I did about 3/5 nutrients mix and adjusted for more water. Keeping pH 5.7 *Wednesday night -added more photos and a few macros for tricome examination. -I also realized that my brown spot issue is due to the fact I have been using RO water and not supplementing calcium which is probably causing the deficiency. I should have looked for that in the essentials. Ahh well, live and learn. I am light flushing and might add some cal-mag or something or just leave it and hope for the best. *vote below* *Friday night -Photos! -Yes, calcium deficient looks to be the cause. I am going to try and get some supplements over the weekend just to give the plants a boost as they still have a couple weeks at most. It would be a shame to not let them bloom their most optimal.

WEEK 9: Flushing started late last week. maintaining 5.7 pH with one shot of cal-mag / 10 liters. As you can see RO water does require cal-mag supplementation at latter states due to heavy resources required from flowering. Again, my fault for forgetting to check my nutrients for this initially. I am sorry about the lack of quality photos again, I'm still fighting a really bad illness. *Note: sticking a x40 magnifier over your camera lens on your Android does get results! *Wednesday night update: images! Looks like I am about a week or two to go!

Thanks for the advice bud! that's exactly what I did last Saturday before I fell ill. Otherwise I would have posted that update. Hopefully it keeps it in check until I get my flush going. I've missed out on a lot of post so I'm going to have to check your results soon.

@Fifty5ive, np - been sick myself as well. Mine is following almost in lockstep with ur clones. They just started showing a little bit of nute burn on the tips - either that or they’re colouring over due to doneness. Haven’t updated week 8 yet but I’m starting flush week 9 in a couple days. Hey - the genetics are on par and stable. What more can U ask for right? Lookn good dude👍

@Fifty5ive , how long do/did you top water the seedling at the beginning of the grow until it reaches the Autopot reservoir?
MovingOn
MovingOncommented6 years ago
@Fifty5ive, good info, thanks!
Fifty5ive
Fifty5ivecommented6 years ago
@MovingOn, The 3 clones were in the initial cups using the vermiculite / coco coir medium from the 23rd of October to 2nd of November which is when I transplanted them to the prepared Auto-pots. While in the cups, I kept them in a humid environment (70 -80%) with a CFL over them for a 16 hour cycle. They were fed initially using a variation of the vegging formula which I topped lightly with RO water when they lost moisture. Used: Growing Edge Technologies -Let's Grow A&B -Power Thrive When I finally transplanted to the Auto-Pots, I rinsed the coir and vermiculite in RO water and then let them drain over night. Then I filled my pots and soaked the medium in the pots with the vegging formula which I did until it started draining. At this point I transplanted the clones with their current matching media into the pots and let them sit for 6 or 8 days to root and adjust in their new tent before I started the Auto-Pot reservoir link-up to the system. I generally do 10L to 20L fill-ups of the reservoir at a time to ensure balance. I hope that answers your question! -55

Lookn good and very close to chop indeed... grabbed the scissors for mine the other day and then decided to give er a little more time👍. Pretty sure mines going closer to a full 10 weeks not the 9 I originally predicted. Probably can’t go wrong at this point but what’s the rush right? Good luck on the weigh dude. Can’t wait to make some comparisons.👊

Nice update dude. And yeah - that’s textbook calcium deficiency. Realistically - you’re so close to finish that it’s not a major issue. If I’m assuming correctly, you’re 1-2 weeks out to chop with one of those weeks being the flush. If your still feeding this week I’d add in a little calmag if you can find some but overall - I don’t expect this to be an issue as you move into the harvest window.👍. Good luck homie, looking forward to the finish👊

Wow i really like your grow room set up and bubble has you made... I’m debating if. I should make some hash too, what kind of materials did you use?
Fifty5ive
Fifty5ivecommented6 years ago
@MaryJaneUSA, Thank you. The hash was simple to make, but it took effort and time. I will detail document the method next time perhaps. Needed: -Micron filter bags: For separating the hash from the rest of the particles of plant matter. -Micron filter mats: For drying the hash. -5 gallon buckets(5+): More than 5 for collecting the filtered water. -5 gallon bucket(1): With bottom cut out to make it an open ended cylinder to hold the micron bags and drain into other buckets. -Ice cubes: Lots of them if possible as this was what was used to flash freeze and separate the trichome particles. -Heavy duty drill: Something with a cord recommended as you will be using it for long periods of time and a battery would need replacing many times. -Metal paint mixer attachment: For mixing the ice into the plant material and making a green margarita. -Timer: your phone should do, you need to set a timer to know how long to mix segments. That is about it for the materials used for that batch of ice a hash. There are other methods to consider, but that is what we tried out for that batch and the results are really good. The micron bags basically separate the trichome particles like a sieve after being frozen and crushed with the ice in the bucket blender. The only thing about this that was difficult was the amount of time it takes stirring the ice into the plant matter. I would say it took a few hours and recommend wearing ear-plugs as the drill and crushing ice can be deafening! There is probably some good websites with a full explanation out there for you to follow. Honestly, the process was blurry for timing used as my friend was the one instructing me for this method this round and helping while we were at his place after a full day of trimming and a bit of product testing ;)
the end.
