I put the seeds in a glass of water on 17th of April and moved them to cotton pads in the evening. 2 days later they were ready for soil. Og is one day later than the other two.

Because it’s still very cold at night I have to keep them indoors. They don’t get much light through the windows which is why they are very lanky. Hopefully weather will be better soon. Until then I improvised a setup with a common daylight lamp that appears to help a little bit.

Since the weather got a lot better they are growing on the balcony. Last few days were about 24-25 degrees and they get 4 hours of direct sunlight. I know more would be better but they seem to do fine so far. Og is still a little behind the two others.

Grow Questions
MaracujaSmoke
MaracujaSmokestarted grow question a year ago
As recommended I watered my light mix 36 hours in advance. The soil is still (!) wet in the deeper parts of my pots and only the top part dries out very slowly. I think its still wet enough but I soon want to start with fertilizers. Why are my plants drinking so slowly?

Probably too small of a plant in too large of a pot -OR- not enough perlite or similar in the soil for proper aeration, which also reduces water per volume and that would help a plant drink it down faster if starting at a smaller starting volume. you want about 50% perlite or similar amendment to perlite (50% in sphagnum peat moss too) in anything that is similar water holding capacity as a basic soil. With coco you need 33% perlite because the coco fibers hold less water per volume by comparison to most soil or sphagnum peat moss. A small plant in a large pot brings up a ton of potential risks and problems.. avoid it as best you can. Water sitting stagnant in a water tank or in some soil is still sitting and stagnating. You don't want your pot remaining wet for 7-8+ days, and preferably even shorter than that. 4-5 day is about how long it takes after a transplant relative to my timing. Bet some wait for an even bigger plant before transplanting. 4-5 isn't so bad, because i know the 2nd irrigation will be 3-4, and quickly reducing from that point on until i can do it daily. (soilless context) so, if it is a big pot, tiny plant, water a column of substrate all the way down - don't half ass it. Start with a diameter about as wide as your canopy. It'll spread out wider underneath. keep increasing diameter as the plant grows. This helps mitigate the problems, but is not perfect. still have potential of dry pockets adding solutes, drying out and adding more, which can pile up into a potential toxicicty. in soil, wait for top 1" to dry, then repeat. This is important for roots to grow downward and not upward. you do want the interior of the pot to remain wet longer.. this promotes a healthy root system. you get more superficial roots if you don't water all the way down to the bottom consistently - whether a smaller column or entire pot never choose the volume of water... it needs what it takes to get the whole thing saturate (or a column wet all the way down in context of tiny plant + large pot)

Began the week with 500ml water and 0.5 fish mix split between caramel and cbd. Og was still to small for nutrients so I waited. They are still pretty lanky which makes things difficult. Yesterday I started to do some Lst which is very difficult because the pots are too narrow and I have to twist them in this weird round shape. Although they are doing some pretty impressive yoga they seem to manage fine. Hopefully I can continue with some lst and they will get some serious growth in the next days…

Currently I'm just readjusting the stakes for LST and I'm giving nutrients. So far so good, they look healthy to me. Caramel has two leafs with tiny brown tips. Don't know yet what it is but the rest of the plant looks good. Übersetzen

Still only adjusting the lst and only watered once this week including nutrients. Sadly this week there was lots of rain and only little sunshine. Caramel is showing first increase of pistols and I’m wondering how much more growth I can get. I’m probably going to tone down the lst.

Reduced the nutrients because of a few burnt tips but otherwise nothing has changed. Bad weather at the moment and they grow slowly.

I had problems with mildew on the og and had to cut a few leafs. Trying to prevent it from now on with neem oil. The two other ones seem to be fine.

Bin gespannt wie das Ergebnis vom LST am Ende aussieht. Hoffentlich hält der spargelige Stengel das Gewicht ^^ Viel Erfolg!

its not PM, its thrips, pests eated your leaves, dont take all for granded, some people here are just idiots and cant see , even if they are gurus. no milk would help even if it would be PM, maybe you would stop spread for a bit for human eye, but mildew infection would still progress, by book and doctors - its very dangerous and bad to smoke moldy or other fungus infected weed. outdoor fight with trips its lost fight too, sticky traps is a must, but at least despite having pests and damage in grow, smoke is still ok.
