Short_N_stockY What's up Grow Diaries family, super excited to have another grow in addition to the Gelatos. This time is a little different since it will be a new experience for me. First time growing an auto flower strain, first time using Bio Tabs, and first time using the quantum board for the full cycle. I usually use the QB304 for vegging, but since I got a 2'x2' tent. It'll be dedicated for that space. I finally got a hold of some FastBuds seeds but I've been losing sleep contemplating on which strain to grow. I have some LSD-25 and Blackberry, which are fantastic strains (based on what i've seen). It came down to a coin toss and LSD-25 was chosen. Come and join me in this new journey. I've read up on how to grow autos and all that but I know there are plenty of seasoned veterans out there that could share some knowledge. Week 1 - Prepped Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil by mixings BioTabs Startrex and Mycotrex. I know there's been a lot of debate about using 3 gal vs 5 gal for autos but I'm using a 5 gal. fabric pot since that's what I have and probably would still buy a 5 gal instead of a 3. But who am I, I'm another first time auto grower. Hahaha! Let me know your thoughts on this. Light cycle is set to 20 hours instead of the usual 12/12, 18/6, 24. I was debating on running the lights 24/7 but wanted to have period when the plant rest. Not too sure if autos need it but my electric bill could use a break. Soaked the seed overnight and sown into soil approximately 1/2 in. Placed a humidity dome (solo cups 😉) over the site to keep humidity up. Humidity in the room is around 45% which is pretty low for germination. Temperature at 78°F which is good. Within the next day or so, we should have this sprouting out of the soil. Once that happens, an update will soon to follow. UPDATE: 11/9/2018 Day 1 LSD-25 finally sprouted 😃. Relative humidity has been low at 35ish%, keeping a humidity dome/spraying Ph'd water to keep her happy until she gets a little bit bigger. If the humidity levels stay this low, I'll be putting in the humidifier until conditions get better. Enjoy the new pictures and stay tuned for the next update! Day 3 - RH has been going down to the teens so I added the humidifier for now. Conditions are a lot better and is now in the 70's. Increased the blower speed to kinda balance out the incoming dry air. Day 4 - Dialed in the incoming air by adjusting the blower and vent. Humidifier doing it's thing getting RH at 72%. Saturated the soil with regular tap water + Bactrex + Orgatrex + Cal-Mag. We'll see how this goes since no PH or EC readings required with BioTabs. I do plan on using Real Growers Recharge once she gets out of the seedling stage. Once she starts flowering, Mammoth P will be used 😉 Day 5 - Leaves are pointing up, this could be a bad thing right? I think it's due to the low humidity and possibly light burn. Humidifier was setup yesterday so maybe she just needs to get reacclimatized to her new environment. I also increased the light distance a couple of inched just in case. Day 6 - Seems like the leaves are starting to level out and color is starting to look better 😀 Day 7 - End of week 1! Nothing to report other than new pictures are up. See you on the next update.

Week 1 Day 5 picture-I'm concerned about the leaves praying to the sun gods and slight yellowing. What's happening here? Is it due to low humidity and possibly light burn. Humidifier has been added to the tent and light distance increase to 20 inches as a precaution 😉

Short_N_stockY Last weeks recap - Environment was way too dry for the little seedling. RH was going down to the teens. Corrected the issue by installing a humidifier and stabilized the RH at around 70%. Week 2 - This week we still have the humidifier running maintaining RH >50%. I was a little concerned about watering her since I am used to having my plants (photoperiod) in smaller pots and transplant into bigger ones as they grow. I was afraid I would end up overwatering her but waited until day 10 to give her the first full watering. Completely saturated the soil with about a gallon of water with a 1/2 tsp of Real Growers Recharge. Responded well and showing good signs of growth. Should able to top her and begin LST sometime next week. Hopefully I have enough time for training before she start flowering. See you next week for the next update 👋

Short_N_stockY Welcome to week 3 of the LSD-25 grow. Removed humidifier since it's been raining the past couple of days and RH is up. Exciting times right now trying to keep up with her fast growth. Trying to maintaining a level canopy and keeping her short and stocky. So far, I am enjoying growing my first auto strain. Definitely a change of pace in a good way. Keeping me on my toes. TIP: Water your plants before you start any training to minimize the risk of snapping any branches. Day 2 - had 5-6 nodes, I removed the lowest node and kept the 3 above it. You'll see the before and after pictures. Day 3 - Fed her another dose of water, Recharge, and CalMag. Began performing LST by using these thick bendable wires that I stake in the soil. I usually pull branches by using a thinner wire to a safety pin tethered to the fabric pot. Day 5 - She is growing pretty fast and already showing signs of pre flower. All that was done today was a few adjustment with the LST. Day 7 - More adjustment to the LST and removed 4 fan leaves that were blocking the smaller growth. More training and defoliation is expected in the upcoming weeks. Since she is already showing pre flowers, Mammoth P will be added to her feed until flush. Temperatures should be dropping in the upcoming weeks, that should help bring out the colors of this train 😉

Short_N_stockY Welcome to week 4 of the LSD-25 grow. Training her has kept me busy all week. Everyday small adjustments have been made to the LST. Since these grow so fast, I started to removed smaller bud sites and some fan leaves. By doing this, she should start focusing her energy where I want to. I was able to collect rain water for her this week with a dose of Mammoth P. This coming week I'll be brewing her some compost tea as per BioTabs recommendation. Majority of the training is complete and I am pleased with the results. It's just a matter of time before she is in full bloom. Looking forward to seeing how chunky and purple her buds turn out. At Day 5 of this week, she's already showing some purpose on her main stem

Short_N_stockY Welcome to week 5 of the LSD-25. We are officially in flowering 😍. This week there were just minor adjustments to the LST, a few fan leaves removed, and brewed compost tea for the feed. I was able to setup the GoPro again for a 24 hour time-lapse 👌 Brewed a gallon of compost tea for about 30 hours and fed her as lights turned on. PK boosters 7g Orgatrex 20ml Bactrex 1 tsp Mammoth P 1ml Recharge 1 tsp Alfalfa meal 1 tsp Where are the purple buds? The purple on the stems are spreading but nothing on the buds. We'll just have to wait and see in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Short_N_stockY Welcome to week 6 of the FastBuds LSD-25. I'm a little concerned that she's not turning purple. Other LSD-25 journals the color comes in a little later. Another concern is brown spots on the leaves which seems to be a calcium deficiency 😰. I've already tried to correct the issue by bumping up the CalMag to 4mL/gal and getting the ph down to 6.2. Some defoliation by removing leaves that are covering bud sites. The training on her is pretty good, kinda level canopy, and good light penetration. A longer time-lapse will be setup 👍 stay tuned for the next update. Happy holidays and happy growing!!! Note: add Dolomite lime to soil to provide Calcium and Magnesium 😉

Short_N_stockY 😢 Deficiency is still being expressed, not that I expected to fix it within a week but I'm still bummed. Hopefully it gets better soon. Buds doesn't seem like they're turning purple. Compared to my backup LSD-25 that I spouted, the backup was already purple at week 3. Timelapse setup was a fail as well. I didn't realize the fan was messing with the camera. Bad week for the plant but had a blast spending time with the family. Hope you all had a great week. See you on the next update.

Short_N_stockY Week 8 for the LSD-25 which should be finishing up soon. The struggle with deficiency has taken a toll on the bud development. In the past couple of weeks there hasn't been much growth. The only thing changed was the increasing brown spots on leaves and a slight change in the color of the buds. I'm really bummed out and I might of taken a bigger bite than I can chew. First time auto grower and first time using BioTabs 😬 On another note, I germinated a backup LSD-25 when started this journal. The backup was put in a 1 gallon pot and eventually transferred to a 3 gallon and given Fox Farms Trio. No training just let her grow out. Check the last picture 😉

First time growing autos for me using BioTabs. Ran into what seems like a calmag deficiency that stunted the full potential of this grow. Starting this grow, I knew it needed a boost in calmag but it what I gave was't enough. By week 3 of flower, leaves started getting brown spots and lost color. I have a backup plant for this grow that completely looks different. The backup looks more like what I expected... purple buds. I got 1 more seed of the LSD-25 and will definitely try again.

Short_N_stockY Couldn't recover from what seems like a calmag deficiency. Which probably stunted the growth as well. Chopped her down this week since I noticed some amber trichomes. I'll be updating this week again once I have the final numbers, taste & effects. The only good thing is I have 1 more LSD-25 seed and a few Blackberries.00
