p4tm_CHEF My very good friend is fighting cancer. He recently gave me the funds to set him up a tent in my basement. So here we are with a 3x3 garden of life.
;)
He picked out some seeds and we are underway.
He said he is having me do this because it will give him something to look forward to. No pressure, eh?
Girl Scout Crack popped very quickly and broke ground just as fast. The Chocolate Haze took a couple extra days and seemed to take longer to come up as well.
Off we go and wish me luck for David's sake. :)

p4tm_CHEF Chocolate Haze has been slow from the start. Such a runt. Plenty green though. So strange.

p4tm_CHEF -Cracky was getting droopy so I moved her too a 5 gal fabric pot. Almost immediately she perked up with the extra room.
-No idea what is up with Coco the Chocolate Haze. Weird little thing. lol
-Used Ocean Forest with some added perlite and some worm castings. Just watering with pHed tap.
-The mini Coco plant got a 3 gal fabric pot on the 6th. The thing is tiny but there was a fair amount of roots ringing in the solo cup. So strange. At this point she is more of an experiment but let's see if the more room speeds anything up.

p4tm_CHEF -Just watering right now. The runt is perking up!
-Cracky is responding really well to the first topping. I plan one more topping on those two mains then going to flower shortly thereafter.

p4tm_CHEF Started in with some nutrients. The tent is starting to smell a little too.
-Coco making a bit of a comeback. I am glad I didn't toss her. She will never be a beast but she is cute, green and perky.
-I topped Cracky a second time on Dec 17th. I also gave Coco a topping as she is starting to pick up. I will only top her once I think.
-Maybe another week and I will switch to flower.

p4tm_CHEF Good week. Coco, the runt, is really making a comeback. The one topping is all I will do to her. Cracky doing well after her second topping. She is exhibiting a little Ca def I think. Not uncommon for me here as my water sucks. I will boost the CalMag a bit and see how she reacts. I am flipping to flower at the end of this week. I know Coco is pretty small but I don't want her sister to end up too big for her britches.

p4tm_CHEF Things are doing fine. I cut a handful of clones off of the Girl Scout Crack and thinned out some of the lower growth.
I will be switching the tent over to 12/12 tonight (1/4/2019).

p4tm_CHEF Actually closer to week two of flower bet eh.
Both are chugging along.
Most of the clones had a fair amount of root growth so they are going into soil cups. The loose plan is to give a few away and keep a couple that will go into the Autoflower tent and veg while they flower under the 19/5 light cycle. Once the autos are harvested the clones should be close to moving into flower themselves. We will see how many live and how many I am able to give away.

p4tm_CHEF That Girls Scout Crack is a beast. Little Coco is starting to catch up in height at least. What a turn around on that little sucker.
Overall, great week. Cracky will get some defoliation within the next couple of days for sure.
I included a pic of most of the clones. All grew roots, even the little ones I did as more of an experiment than anything else. There are a couple that look like they may not make it. Who knows though. Two went out to their Forever Home tonight. Whatever I cannot give away will go in my autoflower tent for now.

Coco has made a great comeback from almost being culled. :) She is nearly taller that her voluptuous sister.
Buds are fattening and starting to get some frost.

p4tm_CHEF The Girl Scout Crack and Chocolate Haze are doing well. The are building some bulk now and the smell is wonderful.
Clones in the other tent that were taken from GSC before flower are doing well too. Several were given away and I still have a handful left.

p4tm_CHEF Girls are doing fine. Some of Coco's lowers are starting to fall over from being top heavy so I may have to add netting or at least a support.

p4tm_CHEF Couple of weeks left. I had to add a trellis because some of Coco's lowers were starting to flop over under their own weight.
Everything seems fine. Hoping these fatten up more but they are super stinky and frosty.

p4tm_CHEF Sorry about lack of decent pics the last couple of weeks. I gave only pHed water this week in preps for harvest. The girls are chugging along and we may be harvesting next weekend. There were a few trichs showing some amber but mostly still to much clear.
Good hearty strain. Tough to muff up. Strain info claims 7-9 weeks flower but she took all of 10 weeks and could have gone another I reckon.

p4tm_CHEF I upped a picture with David in the background. The smile says it all. This is his first harvest. The stem cell transplant seems to have been a success. He received news that all his blood work numbers are up and the PET scans are clear! He was also told this week he may be cleared to drive by the end of the month. He is already picking out the seeds for the next grow. :)
This is a good hearty strain for sure. Very sticky and heavy and grows like a beast. Strain info claims 7-9 weeks but she took all of 10 weeks.
I took 8 clones from her before flower and they all took. I gave a few away and now I still have a few to go right into 12/12 themselves. I will update more once the dry is done.
EDIT UPDATE: So I sent David off with his stash today after a few weeks of drying/curing. We ended up with a hair over 5 ounces dry on the Girl Scout Crack and 2 ounces off of that stunted Chocolate Haze. The GSC has a better smell and taste and she ended up super frosty. I added a few pics of the final dried product and updated with dried final weights. :)
This specimen was a runt from the start but ended up producing. Good smoke though for sure.

p4tm_CHEF She was a runt from the start but came back strong. Had I topped her she might have been on par with the GSC. Very pleased I didn't ditch her week 2.
Looking good! Good luck! And thank you for growing to help others. I’m growing Chocolate Haze for a family member, recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
