12.05. No water today More LST - also removed one of the initial 1 finger leafs from each plant because they were touching the ground. Higer temperature up to 26Β°C, Humidity around 45-50% Plants already start to smell xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 13.05. Still no water Temps are still high-ish between 26-27Β°C; Humidity around 49% Thought about removing some leaves to give the lower branches more light, but in the end I just did decide to do some leaf tucking. Increased fan speed from lvl2 to lvl4 because stems/leafs are stronger now and I wanted a bit more wind. Moved the pots more into the middle of the box to increase light (thinking about turning up the light to 60%, but not sure yet) Plant 1 is taking off with crazy branch building. Plant 2 is didnt grow too much, maybe she needs more time to recover from LST? stems on both plants are thicker Plant 3 is developing good growth, new parts dont look mutated anymore.. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 14.05. No water Same temp, slightly lower humidity Little bit of leaf tucking Plant 1 shows sex and does continue insane growth Plant 2 currently is the slowers grower, pretty sure the LST was a bit much for her Plant 3 pretty impressed about her growth. I almost did write her off, but she had an insane comeback xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 15.05. still not sure whether I give water or not. Humidity dropped over night to 35%, but recovered during the day to slightly over 40 again Besides that, nothing really new; still no sign of sex on plant 2 and 3 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 16.05. did use the leftover booster solution of last week (around 4L), added 3L of water and did water the plants with it (around 2L to each plant untill runoff) PH 8.3 - 0.5ms/cm same temp, humidity around 45% both plants are around 17cm in LST state stronger smell, some growth around the side branches, but not really stretching in height curious how the plants react to more light, so I did turn up the lamp to 60% - *UPDATE* After 6h I did notice some slight "taco" / "V" shapes on some of the leaves, so I did lower the lamp to 40% again xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 17.05. no water today temp around 25Β°C, Humidity: 45% plant 2 now also shows sex. plant 3 is still shy a little bit of leaf tucking so that all those side branches get more light leaves did recover and are flat again will wait a few days until I I try increasing light again. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 18.05. no water temp unchanged removed some of the lowest nodes/leaves on plant 1 Little bit of LST on plant 2

Grow Questions

Hi, first grow here. My automatics are at their 16th day above ground. I think I have to top one of my plants to keep her height in check. Where and when should I top her? should I rather only do LST or maybe even wait for now (but they are automatics, so I should be quick?)?

With Autoflowers you want to avoide as much stress to the plant as possible because you are on a set time of growth before its flower. Topping is considered stressful to the plant. However, some people do this and have good success. Personally I always LST my Autoflowers and they turn out amazing. If I were you, I would simply pull down the plant to level out the canopy and keep pulling down the branches as they grow. This will open it up and cause more branches to get better light and in return produce amazing colas all over. You can check out my Banana Purple Punch Diary to see how I LST my plants and then what they grew up to be. I hope this helps.

Looks like my plants are growing towards the wall and not towards the middle where the light should be the best. Why do the plants behave like that and what should I do? Raise the net, rotate some of the plants, then redo the net? Remove the net completely? leave it as it is?

Actually plants tend to be taller when there is lack of light... If in the middle you have the brightest light that's normal that branches remain shorter. Plant in the right corner stretched the most in the grow tent corner area. Wild guess - she receives less light because of the fan. Just measure PPFD in different parts of your grow tent and you'll see. You have to rotate plants. Try alternate position of the fan.

what should I do? history: 21.05. Water with full dose of fertilizer ... 26.05. Soil really dry - Water with half dose of fertilizer 27.05. Plants look super healthy (24Β°C 55-60%RLF) 28.05. started to droop (27Β°C 40-45%RLF) 29.05. even worse, (25Β°C 45%RLF), surface still moist

Make sure to get 10-20% run off each time you irrigate too, this is essential for plant/soil health.

2 of my 3 plants are a bit yellow-ish at the top since about a week. Plant 1 also had a couple of sick leaves at the bottom that I did remove. Those leaves had brown/dark spots, felt dry like paper, had very purple stems and did smell more like hay. More info in my report.

Your plants are showing over feeding and deficiency symptoms. You probably have nutrients lock out due to salt build up. Check your run off EC and pH to confirm, flash the medium, adjust feeding.

yo, lookin good. I have just noticed you are using plastic pots (very similar to mine) and the problem with them is that they hold water/humidity/wetness for weeks... I thought Im watering a little bit every 3-4 days but it turns out it's all wet soil under the first 1-2cm of dried soil. I got Fungus Gnats because of that.

@emanresU, but isnt that the point to keep the water? If it is evaporating, then it is just increasing humidity. Maybe good in veg, but in flower I'd rather have the water in the pots and not in the air. I dont have any problems with my plastic pots no pests and no soil temp or overwatering issues and watering once a week also saves quite a bit of time fabric pots lying around too, probably will try them in the next grow, but my first impression is that I prefer plastic btw. I have nematodes and neem oil lying around too, so I am prepared IF fungus gnats show up, but in fact I think plastic pots are indeed better against fungus gnats, because you can have a dry surface for much longer as the bottom half stays moist longer = less frequent watering

Looks nice, I hope #3 will also be a succes, maybe she's just a lil bit shy and needs more time. Good Luck!

@Elyxion, Thanks, but plant 3 is not only late. She shows a lot of mutations. Leafs are really deformed, the whole plant is not symmetrical and kinda looks sick. It already started at germination with her strange asymmetrical cotyledons. I might give her a few additional days, but probably will remove her out of fear that the weak plant attracts pests that could also affect the two healthy plants.

@James, thanks. growth is a bit slower than I did expect seeing other timelapse videos from more experienced growers, but still ok for first grow I hope. Plant 3 does worry me a bit
