I used Jiffy-7 Pellets for germination. Unfortunately the first Gorilla Glue didn't sprout, but the second one is already visible. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

I used half doses of the BioTabs Starterbox because I mixed it with BioBizz All-Mix. The plants have been in the pots for almost a week now. It has been very cold during the night because my growbox is in the basement, that's why I bought a polystyrene tile today. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

The plants are growing pretty fast, almost time for topping. It's getting too dry during "daytime" though (33% day, 55% night).. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

I topped them this week and did some defoliation. They are developing nicely, however the OG Kush seems to have some problems (yellow spots). It's still getting too cold at night, the polystyrene tile didn't help apparently.. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

Did some defoliation this week. The OG Kush was extremely bushy and has very small internodes so I cut a little bit more there. Also it seems that the marks on the leaves are a phenomenon called variegation (thx @SpinnerGrow for the info). Hope that's not gonna be a problem in the future. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

Topped them again this week (except for the OG Kush which is still growing very slowly) and did some more defoliation. Also, I installed a scrog net; it's not fixed very well but I think it will do for now.. I'm gonna be away for almost two weeks now, I hope nothing goes wrong, the AutoPot system should take care of everything. Gonna start the flowering period, when I'm back after new year's. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

I was gone for 12 days, and when I came back the plants were underwatered because the tank had run empty (I did that on purpose though, wanted to slow down the growth a little). The OG Kush still grows slower than the others. Today I did some defoliation and started the 12/12 cycle. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

The switch to the 12/12 cycle resulted in very cold temperatures in the growbox this week, so the growth has slowed down. I bought a Trotec TFC 1 E fan heater today to fix that problem (hope it works..). Also the Secret Jardin Monkey fan broke, and I had to send that back to the growshop, gonna receive a new one next week. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Secret Jardin Monkey Fan 20W (oscillating) ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

This week it was time for some more defoliation, especially lollipopping. The heating fan is working perfectly as you can see on the temperatures; didn't expect such a great device for 20€. But I had to change the layout of the autopots, cause the heater has to be placed at the bottom. I made a huge mistake though, I mixed the cables up, so the exhaust fan was only running for 12 hours, while the led lamp was on for 24 hours. When I came back the next day, the humidity had risen to 85%. I hope that didn't mess up the time cycle.. I finally decided to "build" a real scrog screen, so I bought an iron grid (for 3€) which I cut to the correct size (sounds easy, was hard work though:D). The new fan (Taifun FT-18) arrived this week, the old one broke after less than 6 months so I sent it back and got this one instead. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Meizhi 600W ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Taifun FT-18 oscillating fan ▌Heating fan: Trotec TFC 1 E ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

Did some defoliation this week. The plants are looking fine. The LED light that I used during the last weeks has a very bad red spectrum, that's why I decided to build a selfmade quantum board with 12 Samsung Q-Series LED Strips. Those are one of the most powerful led's at the market right now (~200lumen/watt). My plants are going to be happy:D ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Selfmade 184W LED Panel w/ Samsung Q-Series Strips ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Taifun FT-18 oscillating fan ▌Heating fan: Trotec TFC 1 E ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

First week under my new DIY led panel. Had to move the fan above the led because the light was too far away from the plants. Two days in advance cause I'm gonna be in Amsterdam for the next few days! Maybe getting some seeds for my next grow while I'm there:D I added an additional fan to the "ceiling" (which is blowing down vertically) just to be safe because I'm a bit paranoid about getting mold while I'm gone. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▌My setup: ▌Growbox: Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 80 ▌Lights: Selfmade 184W LED Panel w/ Samsung Q-Series Strips ▌Ventilation: Ventilution Mixed In-Line 145/187m³/h ▌Fan: Taifun FT-18 oscillating fan ▌Heating fan: Trotec TFC 1 E ▌Substrate: 50% BioBizz All-Mix & 50% Perlite (& BioTabs Starterbox) ▌Nutrients: BioTabs Starterbox & tapwater ▌Irrigation: AutoPot 4Pot System ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

And finally what we've all been waitin for, the results: Haze Berry 73g OG Kush 58g Royal Gorilla 81g Skunk XL 94g Total 306g 😲 That's a 1.64 g/W Ratio, I'm very satisfied with my selfmade LED panel. Also I have to recommend the AutoPot-BioTabs combination, no problems with that from seed to harvest, even though I was away for almost 2 weeks during the grow. Thanks to everybody who has been following 😀

Looking good man!! I'm so damn curious about those autopots.. Would you recommend them or should I ask when you come back after new years eve?

Thank you for that POTent ! Will definitely give that a try, first I need to check the organics RQS provided me (BIG SHOUTOUT TO JAMES FOR THAT ) But for the run following after that one will for sure include the BioTabs. Thanks again and a blazing Christmas for you my friend

Thanks! Well in my first grow I used the autopots with BioBizz nutrients (at first) and Advanced Nutrients (afterwards), which didn't really work well for me. But now with the BioTabs and tapwater everything is going perfectly, because the whole nutrient mixing, PH measuring, etc, isn't necessary. The only work you have to do is mixing the soil and keeping the reservoir full. You should take a look here if you wanna know more about it: https://www.biotabs.nl/pub/media/wysiwyg/pdfs/consumers-engels-small.pdf

@first_time_grower Well I read about it in a german forum (grower.ch) how all these led panel companies are screwing us over with cheap led's and fake specifications. Also all these "Best LED rankings" on google are made by the companies themselves apparently. So I followed a tutorial ("diy quantum board") I found in that forum (I think it was based on the ledgardener tutorial tho). It's pretty easy actually even if you have 0 mechanical skills like me:D And much cheaper than buying a Sanlight or whatsoever.

Hi @POTent! These marks make me think of 2 potential issues: either it's the first sign of a pH fluctuation in your medium, or the beginning of a pest invasion (spider mites and/or thrips). I don't see your pH measurements in your diary, do you check your solution's pH? If so, what values did you apply for last week and for this week? Otherwise, you need to buy a pH-pen as soon as you can, this will dramatically help you to get the most of your babies and avoid deficiencies/toxicities. Now, make sure it's not pests, check carefully both onto and below the leaves, around the stems, in your medium: nothing's moving, nothing's alive? Have you been working on a pest prevention strategy? Like diffusing essential oils, spraying neem oil mixed with garlic, setting up some sticky traps, giving the canopy a good continuous breeze...? If you're 100% convinced it's not pest-related, then try to feed at the correct pH range (around ~6.2 in soil) and see how it goes after a few days. We'll be here to help you and refine the diagnosis if necessary. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

I read that PH values are not important when growing organic, but it's around 6.5-7. Also I checked the leaves with a microscope but I couldn't find anything. I'm gonna keep an eye on them. Thanks:)

Bro you can treat against bug as you want : it will still be a genetic issue called variegation ! I give you a link to an explanation of the phenomenon : https://www.maximumyield.com/definition/133/variegation

What light? You need to get it closer. They’re stretching too much.

@KilgoreTrout, Yes they were in my room for the first week (it's 5°C outside and not much sunlight). I moved them under the LED light at the beginning of week 2:)

@POTent,ok well get some light on it. If they stretch like that you’re going to have fragile plants. There’s no way they’re outside in daylight. Behind a window decreases intensity. So get some artificial light on them as soon as possible.
