Germination was running smoothly, Melonade Runtz took a bit more time to show its root (04/18/24)., so i was able to add it to my RootIt sponges where it showed its head two days later (04/20/24).
My Royal Queen Seeds Auto Melonade Runtz Grow Diary: Week 1
The inaugural week with my Royal Queen Seeds Auto Melonade Runtz has been a period of nurturing and learning. Here’s a recap of the week:
Watering Schedule: I watered my plant twice, each time ensuring the soil was thoroughly dry before adding more moisture. In total, I used around 1.5 liters of water, a careful measure to maintain the delicate balance needed for optimal growth.
Lighting Conditions: A slight indication of light stress was observed, which led me to adjust the light height from 40cm to 50cm towards the end of the week. This minor tweak seemed to make all the difference, allowing my plant to continue its growth unimpeded.
Growth Measurements: The plant’s stature was 3cm mid-week, and by the end of the week, it had reached 4cm. The growth trajectory looked good, and I was pleased to see that there were no further issues or abnormalities.
Reflection: My Auto Melonade Runtz’s first week has been promising. The healthy growth and absence of significant problems give me confidence in the care I’m providing. I’m looking forward to the coming weeks, anticipating the plant’s continued development and the joys and challenges it will bring.
This diary entry marks the beginning of my journey with the Auto Melonade Runtz. I’m eager to continue this cultivation adventure and share the progress of this vibrant strain. 🌿
My Dutch Passion Melonade Runtz Grow Diary: Week 2
The second week with my Dutch Passion Melonade Runtz has been a period of significant advancement and fine-tuning. Here’s a detailed account of the week:
Lighting and Climate Control: On Day 10 I introduced the XS4000 LED at 55% and a DLI of around 30, along with UV-A + NIR 50W lights, which run in parallel but start 15 minutes before and turn off 15 minutes after the XS4000 light. This setup is designed to provide a full spectrum of light, mimicking natural sunlight conditions. I also installed a humidifier to maintain optimal humidity levels, creating an environment conducive to healthy growth.
Growth Spurt: The changes in lighting and humidity paid off, as my plant made an impressive leap from 4cm to 13cm. This robust growth is a clear indicator of the plant’s positive response to the adjusted conditions.
Watering and Nutrition: I watered the plant with approximately 400ml of water, combined with Bio Canna Vega and Bio Canna Rhizotonic. These organic nutrients are designed to promote vigorous growth and root development, which seemed to have a beneficial impact on my plant.
Low-Stress Training (LST): Encouraged by the plant’s good health and absence of issues, I decided to implement Low-Stress Training (LST) at the end of week 2. LST is a technique used to gently manipulate the plant’s structure to improve light exposure and potentially increase yields.
Reflection: This week has been about optimizing the conditions for my Melonade Runtz and watching it respond with vitality. The introduction of advanced lighting, precise climate control, and targeted nutrition, along with the strategic decision to start LST, has set the stage for a promising future.
Week 2 has been a testament to the importance of adapting and responding to the plant’s needs. The growth and health of my Dutch Passion Melonade Runtz are reassuring, and I’m excited to continue documenting this journey, anticipating the rewards of my careful cultivation. 🌿
My Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz Grow Diary: Week 3
The third week with my Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz has been a period of continued growth and the implementation of advanced cultivation techniques. Here’s a summary of the week’s activities:
Growth and Training: The plant has shown remarkable improvements, growing from 11.5cm to 25cm. I employed Low Stress Training (LST) and defoliation methods to enhance the growth of the side nodes. These techniques have proven effective, as evidenced by the plant’s substantial vertical development.
Watering and Nutrition: I maintained a consistent watering schedule, hydrating the plant twice with approximately 400ml of water each time. Along with the water, I added Hesi SuperVit to ensure the plant received all the necessary vitamins for optimal growth.
Health Monitoring: Throughout the week, I kept a close eye on the plant’s health and did not notice any issues. The absence of problems such as nutrient deficiencies, pests, or diseases is a positive sign that the plant is thriving under the current conditions.
Reflection: This week has been about refining my cultivation techniques and watching the plant respond positively. The use of LST and defoliation has set the stage for even growth and the potential for increased yields. I’m pleased with the progress and look forward to the coming weeks.
The growth and health of my Dutch Passion Auto Melonade Runtz are sources of great satisfaction, and I’m excited to continue documenting this journey, anticipating the rewards of my careful cultivation. 🌿
