Started a new grow with some old seeds I had laying around. - Germinated in Eazy plugs, soaked in pH 6.5 solution of water + CalMag + RootJuice. I just placed the seeds in the Eazy plugs, those on a small plate, covered it with - Added 0.5l of that solution to each pot to hydrate it as it was bone dry. - Light at 20% power for this first week

No watering this week. the soil was wet enough to last the entire week. In retrospect, I should have not have gone for this 1-off watering dump at the start, it will likely cause some issues with banana-style flies early on. Let's wait and see.

Finally got to water them again after my initial overwatering. Signs of some dead flying bugs on the ground, so better be active on trying to eliminate them. I don't water them daily, but I can't set up that option here. At the moment I am giving them about 250ml each every 3 days. At the end of the week I will start with topping and training at least the plant on the right. These are supposed to be tall plants so it's early training and almost immediate flowering phase for them. Will be using SCROG, LST and training sticks

Added a scrog net and cropped the top. Other than that, a few bugs flying around (classic of Light Mix) so I added a couple of yellow sticky traps. Used the same nutrient stuff I made last time, Plants are so small they are drinking very little.

First smell starting to come, scrog net working as expected and again forgot to water the entire week despite outside heat. Clearly some strong AF genetics :D Bugs found their demise with the yellow sticky traps. Going to add a small fan inside next.

Scrog still working wonders, plants looking good with no signs of issues. the yellow sticky traps have definitely been effective, hopefully adding an internal fan should remove further issues with those. Removed some leafs from under the canopy.

Moved the SCROG net up a bit as I'm running out of bending space and the plant growth seems to have slowed down. Removed more leafs under canopy. Pulled the light up a bit. Increased the watering a bit as the soil is starting to dry up almost daily. So far so good with the overall plant health, let's see in the coming weeks what issues start to pop up :D I removed the fly traps because they were starting to touch the plants but I will likely have to add another one in some better position.

Plants have really streached this week but it looks like they have almost gotten to full height (I hope). I'm running out of vertical space, but that's what you get with haze I guess. The outside temperature has significantly increased but 30° was the warmest recorded in the tent. Plants have started to really drink up so now I'm doing 1 watering with nutrients and one with water and CalMag with pH corrected to 6.5. Will probably remove a few more leafs here and there to let some lower areas get more light.

Growth seems to have finally stopped, good thing because I'm almost out of space. Lights have been cranked up to max, hopefully the distance is enough. The plants have now really started to drink uk a lot, 0.5l every day. Overall looking very good, no obvious stress signs, no nutrient burn and no visible pest. Been watering occasionally with pH corrected water + CalMag every few days to be on the safe side. No smell whatsoever outside the box and very mild smell inside.

Nice progress this week with the left plant. The right one is showing some deficiencies on some leafs. A few bugs were also spotted, nothing major but I placed a couple of sticky traps. The smell inside the box has increased quite a bit, but still no smell outside.

Flush week begins for one of the 2 plants. Not many red pistils yet but I will be cutting in a few days as there is already quite a bit of amber color in the crystals. Definitely don't want to miss out on the nice terpenes, the smells are pretty amazing, very citrusy. The yield looks like it could be quite decent too. Buds not as thick as I was hoping for, but still really good looking. Some leafs on the right side plant showing some signs of various issues and maybe a few previously undetected bugs on some leafs, but looks like all should be good.

One plant came down, tried to cut it with just a small percentage of amber crystals. The second one is taking quite some time and might need another 1-2 weeks. The root system from the plant that came down are lookign decently healthy, but the soil definitely could do with a bit more ventilation as water did not drain through very easily.

Looks like this might be the last week for this second plant and then it's time to cut it down. Right on time as I have noticed yet again good old spider mites on the leafs, which would explain some leaf issues that should not have been nutrient or stress related.

Finally time to chop off the second plant. Harvested just when about 5-10% of crystals have turned to ember color in an attempt to get the most upper effect out of this sativa. Noticed yet again some bugs on the leafs, luckily enough they only showed up in noticing numbers towards the end but ffs I'm getting tired of soil, especially after trying hydro. My main conclusion is that BioBizz soil is just not good to use as is, no matter what, it ends up not draining water well enough.
