Welcome to the inaugural entry of our grow diary featuring Ice Cream Cake by Barney's Farm. This indica-dominant hybrid is renowned for its potent effects and a creamy flavor profile, marked by sweet vanilla and sugary dough notes, making it a delightful treat for the senses.
As we kick off this journey, all five of our Ice Cream Cake seeds have successfully germinated, promising a full grow ahead. These seedlings will start their life in my small veg box under the nurturing light of the GCX 5 Solo. This setup is designed to foster the optimal development of these young seedlings by providing a balanced spectrum of light.
Moving forward, the seedlings will be transplanted into their 12.5L forever homes in the expert setup tent, where they will later be topped and trained using the SCROG method to maximize their growth potential and yield. The main light in the tent is a Mars Hydro FC4800, supplemented by two Mars Hydro UR45 bars. Ventilation is managed by a Prima Klima Eco Blue 160 exhaust fan, and environmental conditions are precisely controlled by the TentX system from TrollMaster. An infrared heat mat by Salter, a 6L humidifier by Spider Farmer, and a small intake fan complete the setup, ensuring a perfect climate for the plants to flourish and express their full genetic potential.
