Hello guys, I currently have two projects running simultaneously in the same tent. The first is my very first grow (currently in week 4), which has faced many challenges. Therefore, I decided to apply the knowledge I've gained from it to my second project. This will also be my first diary on this platform Strain: Hulkberry Automatik by Royal Queen Seeds with the following specs (copied from the breeders official website): Type: Autoflowering THC: 21% CBD: Low Yield Indoor : 16 to 19 oz/m² Yield Outdoor: 3 to 5 oz/plant Height Indoor: 3 to 4 feet Height Outdoor: 3 to 4 feet Flowering time: 6 - 7 weeks Harvest Month: 8 - 9 weeks after sprouting Genetic Background: Hulkberry x Diesel Auto Type: Sativa 65% Indica 30% Ruderalis 5% Effect: Clear, Uplifting Climate: Long Summers Flavor: Citrus, Diesel, Fruity My setup: Light: Spider Farmer SE3000 Tent: DiamondBox Silver Line SL80 Inline fan: Spider Farmer 6inch with carbon filter Fans: Two Spider Farmer 6inch oscillating fans Extras: - Dehumidifier in my grow room - A grid elevated on shelf legs to raise the pots, facilitating easier watering. The drainage flows through the pots and the grid, collecting in plastic bottles beneath - Bluelab pH pen Germination: I placed the seed in a glass of tap water with a pH of 6.5. Within 18 hours, it had sunk to the bottom, so I transferred it to a small box lined with damp paper towels. After another 24 hours, the seed had developed a taproot measuring approximately 2 cm in length. I then moved the seed into its permanent home—a 9-liter plastic pot (edit: later transplanted into a 24l pot) filled with clay balls at the bottom to enhance drainage, and topped with Atami Janeco Lightmix. After transplanting, I provided it with 200 ml of additional water and a microdose of BioBizz Root Juice. To maintain humidity, I fashioned a humidity dome from the top of an empty plastic bottle and placed it over the seed. Just 36 hours later, the plant broke through the surface! 😍 I consider this (01.05.2024) as day 1. I will add a few more photos once the plant grew its first true leaves. Thanks for reading and happy growing! 👍

At the start of week 1, the plant is looking fantastic! When the soil dries out, I provide 200ml of pH-adjusted tap water mixed with a bit of BioBizz Root Juice. I'll be uploading new photos in the coming days! Day 1: After the seedling emerged and unfurled its round leaves, I lightly misted the growing medium in a circle around the stem. Day 2: Gave 100ml of pHed tap water. Day 3: No water, no feeding. Day 4: Gave 200ml of pHed tap water with a micro dose of Root Juice. Day 5: No water, no feeding. Day 6: No water, no feeding. Medium is quite dry but I want the roots to search for water. Edit: Later that day the medium was completely dry. I gave 300ml of pHed tap water again with a little bit of root juice. Week 1 almost in the books. 😎 Day 7: Wow, what a week! Very pleased with her development. If she continues like that she will soon be ready to be topped! Stay tuned for the next week and happy growing everybody! 🌱

New week and the plant does what it did the previous week: growing healthy und quickly.🌱 I raised her about 5 cm closer to the light to gradually increase the intensity. The plant stretched a bit at first, likely because the humidity dome reduced the light intensity indirectly. As long as it doesn’t fall over, I’m happy with the progress. 🙏 Day 8: The soil is still wet, so no water and no feeding today. Day 9: Soil was dry. Ramped up the dosage to 500ml with a bit Root Juice. Still only watering in a circle around the stem. Day 10: no watering, no feeding. Recognized that the plant looks a little yellow but is still growing like the Hulk it is. Maybe too much PPFD since lamp got turned up a little for the pre flowering other plants. Maybe I will have to bump those up together with the light to decrease PPFD for my small Hulkberry. Day 11: No water, no feeding. Side branches not showing after the first node, not ready to be topped. Will give it a few more days. If the plant is continuing its development it will be topped for sure. Day 12: No water, no feeding. Side branches start to show but they are not strong enough for the topping. Will have 4 more days to grow, if they are not ready I will use LST instead. Day 13: Soil is almost dry. Maybe it will get the next dosage today. Day 14: Soil was dry yesterday but had other stuff to do. Does not matter, it got a dosage of 500ml of tap water with a little bit of Root Juice ph'ed down to 6.3. Next I will probably have to increase the dosage to 750ml or above. Thought about topping, but I will wait another day or so. The second week is complete, and the plant looks fantastic! My rookie mistakes with the other plants really slowed their growth, but it's reassuring to see that when you provide your plant with what it needs, it thrives on its own. There's still so much for me to learn, though. Tomorrow marks the beginning of week 3, and I’m planning to finally top this impressive Hulkberry girl. Stay tuned, and happy growing, everyone! 😎"

Week 3 begins with the exciting process of topping the plant! 😎 The subnodes have experienced remarkable growth and are now poised to take charge. I'm eager to see how well they will continue to flourish. In my previous grows, I made the mistake of topping too early, which, combined with improper feeding, resulted in stunted growth. This time, I’m optimistic for a much better outcome! Day 15: No water, no feeding. Plant got topped. Day 16: No water, no feeding. Plant is slowly recovering from topping. Looks a bit sad right now since I cut off half of the plant but that's only temporary. I'm optimistic that it will bounce right back! Day 17; Watered with 600ml of water with the following feeding: - 0.4ml Terra Vega - 1ml Root Juice - 1ml Cannazym The plant took the topping like a champ - or rather like Hulk - the side branches really took over the last day and are growing fast and healthy. Will start LST this week but it's way too early today. 👀 Edit: Started LST by pushing down the 4 main nodes. Day 18: No water, no feeding. What the f*** happened over night? That growth rate is insane. Other plants in the tent show similar behaviors. I think the dehumidifier is stabilizing VPD which results in faster and healthier growth. Does anybody have the same experience? Really would like to know, let me know in the comments or write a PM. If the plant does not slow down I will consider to top the 4 main colas again. The greeeed is real! Day 19: Topped bottom two branches. In the upcoming days I will top the two top branches as well but they need to stretch a bit more. Edit: the greed continues. Transplanted into a 24l pot (was 9l before). Fed 1l of pH 'd water with 4ml Root Juice. Only watered close to the plant so the roots will search for water when it dries. Breaking all the rules for auto flowers and I don't care. Day 20: No water, no feeding. Growth has slowed down what was to be expected a little bit. Plant focuses its energy on building roots instead of upper growth. Should not be too concerning. Topped the top 2 branches anyway. Will leave it alone the next days, probably isn't too happy with my care right now. Day 21: Soil is still moist. And that's the end of week 3. Wow, the plant got topped 5 times and got transplanted into a new container. And as you can see it still grows like a maniac. Really looking forward to the next week. I only plan to LST to create an even canopy before it will start to flower. See you next week. 🙃 Happy growing everybody! 🌱

Start of week 4. Side branches are growing now. Still a little bit slower than before the transplantation, but that still was to be expected since the plant focuses on root development. Day 22: No water, no feeding. Day 23: Soil is still moist from the water I gave after transplantation. Adjusted LST training. Not quite sure how to progress with all the different tops, but that's a problem for future me 😅. Day 24: Soil is almost dry. Will have to water soon. Readjusted LST (have to do this every day). Edit: Gave 1.2l of tap water [email protected] with - 4ml Root Juice - 2ml Cannazym - 0.3ml CalMag Agent Day 25: No water, no feeding. Plant is exploding in growth again. Transplantation was a minor setback but it could still result in greater yield. Readjusted LST, side branches stretching a lot. Day 26: No water, no feeding. Removed 2 bottom fan leaves that were mostly shaded. ✂️ Day 27: Soil was completely dry. Gave 2 liters of tap water @pH6.4 with - 5ml Root Juice - 2ml Cannazym - 2ml Terra Vega - 1ml Calm agent Removed 4 fan leaves on the upper stems to increase air flow (plant has a lot of transpiration) and light penetration. Added some LST to the stretching 8 main colas to open up new side branches. Day 28: No water, no feeding. Removed 2 more leaves that were clustering the canopy. ✂️ And that is the end of week 4. Plant continues to grow like crazy. No signs of flowering yet. Will only LST next week again until it's flowering. No signs of deficiencies yet. Guess I will have to use some more fertilizer next week when the soil gets older. Will have to monitor that more frequently. Stay tuned for next week and happy growing everybody! 🌱

New week, hoping for some signs of pre flowering still. Different growth rate in side branches, did not have that kind of problem when I only topped once. Hopefully it won't affect the final layout too much. Very happy with the plant so far. Took all the stress very well and appears to be very healthy. Let's see if we can continue like that this week. Day 29: Soil is still wet. Removed inner LST stakes. Removed some of the bigger leaves that were blocking the light of the new side branches. ✂️ Day 30: Gave 2.5l of tap water @pH6.3 with - 10ml Root Juice - 6ml Cannazym - 3ml CalMagnAgent Removed bigger fan leaves ✂️. Saw some signs of pre flowering. Thought about cutting off the new side branches, decided to keep though. Will leave the plant alone so it can recover. Only slight LST if needed. Day 31: Soil is still moist. Added photo of pre flowering signs. Only slight LST. Day 32: Soil is still moist. Nothing else to do besides enjoying to watch her grow. Only tucking away the bigger leaves so the new nodes get some light as well. Really hard to do with that sort of layout though. Probably will only top once the next grows, layout is easier to manage. Edit: Removed some vertical nodes (would not get enough light if those were allowed to grow) and some leaves that blocked new side branches. Added photo. Day 33: Gave 3l of phEd tap water to 6.35 with - 1ml CalMag - 2ml Cannazym Day 34: Soil is still moist, some nice growth the past days. More and more signs of pre flowering. More or less done with LST, now she will be allowed to grow upwards with the final stretch. Day 35: Soil is still moist. She could need some LST or a slight defoliation. Will consider both options and choose spontaneously later today. Edit: Changed my mind, won't do anything. Layout is perfectly even and the shading of leaves isn't as bad as I predicted. And that's a wrap for week 5! I'm thrilled with the progress we've made. Next week, we'll observe the early flowering stage, so stay tuned for exciting updates! Happy growing everybody ... 🙏

The first week of official flowering is approaching. I've noticed that some of the new leaves are slightly yellowing. I plan to add some veg and bloom nutrients with the next feeding. I won't do much LST since I like the current layout, but defoliation will be necessary. 😂 Day 36: Soil is still moist. Day 37: Gave 3 liters of tap water, adjusted to a pH of 6.4, with: - 4 ml CalMag Agent - 4 ml Cannazym - 5 ml Canna Vega - 5 ml Canna Flores Performed slightly heavier defoliation, removing all the larger fan leaves that were mostly shaded, some inner leaves, and selectively some smaller ones that were blocking light for the side branches. ✂️ Day 38: Soil is still moist. Did I even defoliate? 😅 Plant is already bushy again. Really starting to stretch as well, very pleased with what I am seeing. Day 39: Soil is still moist. Light defoliation V2 ✂️. Thought about lollipoping lower nodes, decided to give them some time to maybe develop quick enough though. New growth is slightly yellow. Will give some bloom nutes again next feeding. Realized a weak smell for the first time. Day 40: Gabe 3l of tap water @pH6.4. Changed my mind on the lower nodes and removed them. They wouldn't get enough light to properly grow anyway. Also selectively removed some of the light blocking bigger fan leaves. Day 41: Soil is still moist She is doing her own thing right now. Day 42: Gave 3l of tap water @pH6.5 with - 3ml Cannazym - 3ml CalmagAgent - 2ml Terra Vega - 4ml Terra Flores Removed some more leaves and lower nodes. Flowers start to form And that's it for this week. Still on track for a juicy harvest. Stay tuned for next week and happy growing everybody! 🌱

Second week of flowering and the growth rate is still insane. Will need to remove some lower nodes soon again.🌱 Day 43: Soil is still moist. Day 44: Soil is still moist. Continued to remove lower nodes. Plant is stretching nicely. Buds are forming. Smell intensifies Day 45: Gave 3.5l of tap water @pH 6.3 with - 3.5ml Calmag Agent Day 46: Soil ist still moist. Defoliated and lollipoped again. ✂️ Still stretching, buds are devolping further. Day 47: Soil ist still moist but the pot feels light. She is drinking a lot. Day 48: Soil is almost ready to be watered again. The stretch is intense. I'd love to install a trellis net, but my other plants are at different heights and further along in the flowering phase. Day 49: Gave 4l of tap water @pH6.4 with - 5ml Calmag Agent - 8ml Canna Flores - 5ml Cannazym Removed some umbrella fan leaves. ✂️ Readjusted LST to improve light penetration for lower nodes. Branches that don't stretch enough will be removed, running out of space and will only keep the better branches. And that's it for this week. Really impressive strain so far, thanks to RQS for selling such quality seeds. ❤️ Stay tuned for next week and happy growing everybody! 🌱

A new week begins, but the story remains the same: still stretching and forming buds. If we keep our flawless run going, we will soon enjoy a bountiful harvest. Let's see what the coming days bring... Day 50: Soil is still moist. Day 51: Soil is still moist. Day 52: Gave 4.20l (🙃) of tap water @pH 6.4 with - 4ml Calmag Agent - 5ml Cannazym - 8ml Canna Flores Day 53: No water, no feeding. Edit: Soil is almost dry 😅. Drinking more than a student on weekends. Day 54: Soil was dry so I gave to of tap water @pH6.5 with: - 5ml Calmag Agent - 10ml Terra Flores Removed some bigger fan leaves. ✂️ Day 55: Soil is still moist Day 56: Soil is still moist. Again removed a few umbrella fan leaves. Also adjusted LST stakes. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱❤️

As the new week begins, the stretching phase appears to be largely complete, allowing the plant to now concentrate on bud development. Although the aroma isn't very strong yet, this will improve once the trichomes start to form. I'm really looking forward to seeing some sweet nuggets soon. Day 57: Gave 4l of tap water @pH6.5 with - 4ml Calmag Agent Day 58: Soil is still moist. Removed some bigger fan leaves again. ✂️ Day 59: Gave 4lnof tap water @pH6.54. Day 60: Soil is still moist. Another heavy defoliation. ✂️ Day 61: Fed 3.5l of tap water @ph.6.56 with - 7ml Calmag Agent - 8ml Cannazym - 10ml Canna Flores Buds are bulking up, trichomes are showing and the smell intensifies. Really happy with her development. If I'd use a trellis net she could fill my 80x80cm tent on her own. Day 62: Pot feels light, need to ramp up the dosage next serving again. Will probably be tomorrow. Day 63: Soil was dry so I gave 4l of tap water @pH6.6 with - 6ml Calmag Agent - 8ml Canna Flores. Decided to feed flower nutes again since she is showing some sign of deficiency that I haven't identified yet. And that's it for this week. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱

Another week of flowering has passed without any issues. Her buds are starting to bulk up nicely, and trichome production is on the rise. Although her scent is still overshadowed by another plant nearing harvest, some of her unique aromas are beginning to emerge. This week, we'll likely just need to monitor the watering schedule. The last two waterings included nutrients, so we may need to dial back a bit. Day 64: Soil is still moist. Day 65: The soil was nearly dry. I still gave 2 liters of tap water at pH 6.4 with 1 ml of Calmag Agent, as I am ill and probably won't make it to my tent again today. Day 66: Soil is still moist. Removed some of the fan leaves that were blocking bud sights. Day 67: Gave 4lbof tap water @pH6.5 with - 10ml Canna Flores - 6ml Cannazym - 5ml Calmag Agent Day 68: Soil is still moist. Day 69: Soil is almost dry again. She is really thirsty the last couple of days. 💦 Maybe I'll give the next dosage later when I come home. Edit: Gave 4l of tap water @pH6.6 with - 5ml Calmag Agent - 8ml Biobizz Topmax Day 70: Soil is still moist. Really nice bud development this week, she finally starts to bulk a lot. Another 3-4 weeks of flowering before harvest I assume. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱

Not too much to report to be honest. I realised some slight taccoing of upper fan leaves which I think is caused by heat stress. I'm not able to adapt though since I don't have an AC. Won't be the end of the world anyway ... we'll do what we did the previous week: water and watch the buds grow. Day 71: Soil is still moist. Day 72: Gabe 4l of tap water @pH6.5 with - 10ml Canna Flores - 6ml Cannazym - 5ml Calmag Agent Removed a few fan leaves that were blocking bud sights and readjusted LST. ✂️ Day 73: Soil is still moist. Day 74: Soil was almost dry, fed anyway and gave 6l of tap water @pH6.4 with - 8ml Biobizz Topmax - 5ml Calmag Agent Side notes: - Buds are getting really frosty. - Smell is getting intense. - Guess for time left: 3-5 weeks Day 75: Soil is still moist. Day 76: Soil is still moist. Will need to water tomorrow probably. When I have time I'll defoliate a little bit more. Day 77: Gave 5l of tap water @pH6.4 with - 8ml Canna Flores - 8ml Cannazym - 6ml Calmag Agent Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱

Last week, I estimated that she would require another 3 to 5 weeks. However, based on the current state of her trichomes, it seems she may only need about 3 more weeks. Nevertheless, I’m not in a hurry to rush the process. Day 78: Soil is still moist. Trichomes: Sugar leaves already have 30% amber, but I see a lot of clear trichomes on the bud itself. Day 79: Soil is still moist. She is not as thirsty anymore, probably done bulking for now. Day 80: Gave 5l of tap water @pH6.5 with - 4ml PK13/14 - 6ml Calmag Agent - 8ml BB TopMax Trichomes: Some that are located on the buds turned milky but no amber yet. Pistils 20% brown. Day 81: Soil is still moist. Day 82: Soil is still moist. Day 83: Gave 4l of tap water @pH6.5 with 4ml Calmag Agent. Pistils turning brown, more trichomes milky, amber only on sugar leaves. Day 84: Soil is still moist. Harvest approximately on day 100 I think, telling by her latest development. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱

Just two more weeks until the anticipated harvest! At this stage, the only potential threat to my yield is bud rot, so I'll be extra vigilant about managing humidity and ensuring good airflow. She's drinking less water now, and it seems the bulking phase is complete. From this point forward, all she needs to do is ripen beautifully. Day 85: Gave 4.5l of tap water @pH6.4 with - 6ml Calmag Agent - 9ml Canna Flores Day 86: Soil is still moist. Day 87: The soil is almost dry. I've added some pictures of the trichomes. Depending on which part of the plant I inspect, I see quite different stages of maturity. Let me know in the comments how long you think she'll need until harvest. Edit: I'll have to wash the buds, as there are some cat hairs on them. Day 88: Gave 5l of tap water @pH6.6 without any nutes as a first step towards flushing. If she needs more time I'll give her one more feeding before harvest, will have to look at the trichomes to decide. Edit: Oh boy, I just realised that the main stem cracked. Honestly I don't even know when that happend. Plant seems to be fine so I'm not too concerned. Harvest window is already open, worst case that can happen now is that I have to cut her down. But if I'll have a choice I'll wait another week or two. Day 89: Soil is still moist. Feels like she bulked up a bit more. Day 90: Flushed with 10l of tap water @pH6.5. The pot will need some time to dry out, then it'll be decision time: do we give her water again or do we chop? Pretty excited! 😋 Day 91: Soil is still moist. Added a few more trichome shots. My camera isn't the best unfortunately. I see a few amber, maybe 5-10% but she's ripening quite nicely already. Most of the pistils turned brown, but she got a few new white ones. Looks like a bit of foxtailing to me but the buds are still quite dense. Estimated chop: Day 97. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody!

Hi, I'd really like to know your opiniions on harvest. As a newbie I'm still trying to figure out when to chop her down. My goal is a strong psychoactive high with some body relexation (maybe 20% amber?). I think I will give her another week. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Considering what you are after effect wise, another week maximum is what I would suggest.

Welcome to what will probably be the last week of this girl. She has been ripening quite nicely over the last couple of days and the timing couldn't be any better: as soon as she's finished I'll have room for another project that can use the trellis net as well. Stay tuned for the last updates. Day 92: Soil is still moist. The smell is great, I wish I could share it with you guys. Hard to describe, it has some strong "usual cannabis" smell with a sour and earthy touch. She definitely smells better that my first try with this strain. Edit: Added a short video. Wow guys, the smell is just gorgeous! 😋 Day 93: The soil is still moist from the flush. The fade really starts to yellow her leaves, looks beautiful. Added a few trichome photos. Day 94: The soil is slowly drying now. It will soon be decision time: give her more water or chop. Thanks for reading and happy growing everybody! 🌱

I had another look at the trichomes on day 94 and realised that the soil was dry, so it was decision time - and I decided to chop her. I've read that 2 days of darkness isn't doing too much, so - since I also don't have a place for it - skipped that part. For drying a got a closet with a humidity meter and a fan, that is blowing onto a wall and not directly at the buds to move the air inside. The closet is placed in the coolest room of my apartment with the least amount of light. I wanted to have a strain that got me active and creative instead of locking me onto the couch, so I shot for a maximum of 20% amber trichomes which I hit pretty well I think. Will add a smoke review when she is dry. Also I'm not too sure how I prefer to trim so I decided to start a little experiment. I dry trimmed a few buds, then a few others while leaving more of the leaves on the bud (like hybrid trimming) and the rest of the plant I let dry as a whole. This way I'll know which alternative I'll prefer for future projects. I'll continue to add updates of the drying process and add the final numbers to the harvest report when I got the time to do so today. Also I'll write a little smoke report in the end.
