I'm using Nature's Living Soil for Nutrients this grow, for each fabric pot I mixed 1lb = 16 ounces of Nature's Living Soil "Autoflower Concentrate" together with 6 ounces of Nature's Living Soil "Original Concentrate" This combination was mixed with Coast of Maine Stonington, BioBlend, Coco Fiber, with extra Perilite and then filled the bottom of the five-gallon fabric pot, while the rest of the pot was topped off with a blend of Coast of Maine Stonington, with BioBlend.
I plan on bottom watering the plants once their root systems make it down to the lower part of the fabric pots starting in approx 2 - 3 weeks
Today 05/04/2024, I changed the Viparspectra KS5000 setting to be on #2 (via the AC Infinity 69+ controller) hanging at 28" above the top of the plants and they are receiving approx 275 ppfd
originally the KS5000 was set on#1 hanging at 28" above the top with them receiving approx 200 ppfd
The nutrients are already in the soil down in the lower half of the fabric pots as I've opted to use super soil concentrate for this batch, looks like one of the seedlings has a mutation where its first node has 4 leaves connected to the main stalk by 3 stems
Looks like I was wrong about the mutant as it actually has 4 branches from the first node not three as I had thought
On 5/17/24 four out of the five plants were topped (I did not top the mutant that has 4 branches from the first node.
On 5/17/24 = Day 15 I Increased light intensity to setting #4 (approx 60%) with the girls now receiving approx 425 - 450 ppfd
On 5/16/24 UV was increased to a 30-minute duration
On 5/18/24 UV was increased to a 45-minute duration
Humidity level was reduced to 65% and will be reduced further to 60% before the week ends
On 5/20/24 UV was increased to 1 hour duration
On 5/20/24 I started performing LST
Well they are starting to transition into the flowering stage
If you decide to use the AC Infinity Self-Watering Bases do NOT just fill them with a gallon of water then refill with another gallon 3 days later ........ its now been a week since I last filled the bases which rapidly sucked the water up via the wick lines and completely saturated the soil in the fabric pots which now feel like they weight close to 20lbs each. I most likely should only have poured in "Half" a gallon instead, then I should have waited until the pots felt light before putting more water in the bases.
The plants are currently receiving approx 500 - 550 ppfd across their canopy, I have installed and starting using the Spider Farmer SF-GlowR80 (650-665 NM Red Spectrum) supplemental lighting bars (2) 80 Watts which are running 20 hrs a day same as the KS5000
They are still receiving 15 minutes of IR before and after the lights turn on and then off, and are now receiving 1 Hr of UV which I will start increasing the duration over the next week until they receive 2 hrs daily of UV.
Looks like their coming along fine for the most part with the exception of one of the plants (the smallest) that is having an issue that is hopefully resolved with some epson salt
Though plant #5 has a lot of its leaves that are looking butchered the buds seem to be starting to put more weight/size on now but who knows in all honesty atm, Plant # 3 and also #1 are both showing signs of starting to fade which I really did not expect to start seeing yet but I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they're in the middle of week 7 right now.
Currently, the canopy is receiving anywhere from 800 - 900 ppfd, with them also catching an extra 200 - 500 ppfd from the (4) 650 -665nm red spectrum spider farmer SF-GlowR80 bars (each bar is 40 Watts) I've got mounted around the 4 sides of the tent, along with the ac infinity full spectrum supplemental bars that I mounted across the middle acting as under canopy side lighting.
The buds smell GREAT and are swelling & looking pretty decent atm
I'm figuring the combination of super soil concentrate and bottom watering via the self-watering fabric pot bases should save me a lot of time as I won't have to mix up nutrients and instead will just have to ph the water used to fill the
