The paper towels were more than moist in the beginning. Comparable to a glass filled with water. Due to evaporation, after some days, I was left with moist paper towels and of course the sprouted seeds. The seeds were planted as shown in the picture.

25.04. - 01.05.2024 I didn't prepare much, most efford was building the cabinet from materials I had from former projects. Due to having orchids I have the equipment to measure: pH, EC/ppm (500 scale), lux, temperature, humidity. The light level was increased from 6000 to 15k lux from the beginning of week 1 to the end of week2. Cheap soil type is used. A Fan was turned on (15 min on / 30 min off) after 3 days into the week and the yellow cards were placed. So far, so good.

02. - 08.05.2024 Day 15: Repotting on 6th Mai. Plants were dug in a bit deeper to fix the long stem. Day 16: Plants seem to cope with their new pots. Unfortunately i realized, that the distance between the lights and the top of the plants is to big. Planning to build a better shelf in the cabinet. Day 17: Better shelf was built (can't be seen in the pictures). Distance now is about 30 cm shorter. Temperature and humiditity did not change at all. Sleight growth in height, leaves are developing. Watering during the week: In circles around the stem, to get a larger area wet.

09. - 15.05.2024 In advance: Everything (quite) went according to the plan ; ) . Day 19: - Day 20: - Day 21: - Day 22: Except the LSSH, the plants look fine. New growth appears in a lighter green (compared to the other plants), one tip of a leaf is brown. Day 23: - Day 24: The LSSH has brown spots on the lowest leaves. See pictures. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: On Day 19 I watered with 200ml, no fertilizer. On day 20 I watered with 330ml and the formula as stated as above. On the 21st day I added one Bio Tab to each container and watered with 600ml (no additions), onto to tablet. Day 22: no water, no fertilizer. Day 23: 660 ml of water, only with CalMag and Silic Rock. Day 24: No water, no fertilizer. Question of the week: What is it the LSSH does not like. Help pls. Plan: Watch wet & dry cycle of the earth and water less frequent. Continue use of CalMag and Silic Rock, but only traces of additional fertilizer. Greetings.

16. - 22.05.2024 In advance: Everything (quite) went according to the plan ; ) . But: LSSH still has problems and two branches of the Royal Gorilla were sheared off when attaching the "holding wire". Day 25: Application of lst method on the Royal Gorilla and the Special Queen #1 plants. The Royal Gorilla is first and due to my clumsyness and a really strong wire ... I managed to shear off the lowest two branches of the Royal Gorilla plant. This is a loss : ) , since those branches are quite developed. The lst on the Special Queen #1 plant is not a problem at all and (due to the experiences as made on the Royal Gorilla plant) everything went fine. The Lemon Shining Silver Haze was left out from lst technique since it is still smaller [...]. Day 26: The LSSH is subdued to the lst method. No problems at all. The "rubber band method" (as seen on user profile "einamio") works like a charm and I would recommend it. Basically no harm can be done to the plant with this method and the method is used on day 25 as well. Day 27: The rubber bands are removed, since all the plants kind of adapted to their new orientation. A thinner wire, thinner than the wire used on day 25 and 26, is used to keep the plant's low profile from now on. Decided to top one branch of the Royal Gorilla plant to make up for the two branches lost earlier. Day 28: Branches grow in length and are spread out to open up the plants to let more light to all the new growth. More or less slight defoliation (was often more then expected) to bring light to the new growth. Day 29: Comparable to day 28. Pots are lowered, new distance is 55cm (lamp @75%). Thanks to a comment of a user ("biotabs"). 17k lux. Day 30: Comparable to day 28. A lot of big fan leaves are cut off. Day 31: Comparable to day 28. Photos of the process, as described for day 28, are made. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: On day 25 I give 600ml with half the dose of CalMag Pro and Silic Rock. On day 26: no watering. Then, on day 27, I water again with 1000ml and the formula as stated above. Runoff is gathered, pH of the LSSH is 5.8 and the others have 6.3 . On day 29: Watering without fertilizer, 1000ml. Forgot to correct pH on LSSH, as recommended by user "Kratzmann" (will follow with the next watering). Up to today, the pots are well watered and will not loose much water since I have rainy weather with high humidity. To be mentioned: There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: None. Except (maybe) the LSSH topic from last week ; ) . Plan: Continue watching the wet & dry cycle of the earth and water less frequent. Continue use of CalMag and Silic Rock, but only traces of additional fertilizer. Further spread out the new branches and keep the profile of the plants low. Hope you can work with the report / diary. Greetings.

23. - 29.05.2024 In advance: Everything (quite) went according to the plan ; ) . To be honest, it went better than expected. Still: the LSSH has problems, I'm working on a functioning solution. Day 32: No picture. The branches were some sort of oriented by hand (lst wires guide) to have best possible light exposure. The plants are watered with the nutrient composition as stated above (pH 6.5). The LSSH and the Special Queen #1 get 1 liter, the Royal Gorilla gets 1,2 liters. "Worked the edges of the pot". Day 33: The wires for lst are kept loose and guiding. Leaves are sorted out twice a day to get best possible light exposure. Day 34: See day 33. The sturdy wire holding the main stem is removed. Damages on the LSSH's stem become visible (oh yes). Stem has similar colour as the leaves (?) . Day 35: See day 33. Day 36: All plants receive the fertilizers as listed above. Alga Grow 9 ml, CalMag pro 2 ml, Silic rock 2 ml and in addition pure zym 2 ml. On 3 liters of water. pH 6.3 for the Royal Gorilla and the Special Queen #1. pH 7.5 for the LSSH. Each plant receives 1 liter. "Worked the edges of the pot". The plants needed water, the pot was quite dry. Day 37: See day 33. Day 38: See day 33. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. To be mentioned: There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: None. Except (maybe, again) the LSSH topic from last week ; ) . Plan: Gain height. The plants must gain height now ... I can't continue to spread them further out forever. XD I hope this report is helpful and informative. Bye.

30.05 - 05.06.2024 In advance: Everything (again) went according to the plan ; ) . The fungus gnats are back in larger numbers, three million nematodes were ordered (but not let free yet). Bigger yellow cards were hung. Still: the LSSH has problems, the solution so far is to water with a pH of 7.5 and to spray the plant with a CalMag pro solution. Day 39: Spread out the canopy and removal of some of the bigger leaves on all plants. The LSSH is sprayed with CalMag pro solution, 150 ppm (on a 500 scale) dissolved in rain water. Day 40: The canopies are spread out. All the plants are sprayed with the solution as described on day 39. Day 41: The plants are watered (10ml Alga grow, 3 ml silic rock, 3 ml calmag pro, 3 ml pure zym ... on 3 l of rain water). Each plant receives 1000 ml. Higher pH of 7.5 for the LSSH. Slight lst on every plant. All plants are sprayed with rain water. Day 42: The canopies are spread out, the plants are sprayed with rain water. Day 43: See day 42. Day 44: See day 42. Day 45: The canopies are spread out, the plants are sprayed with rain water. The plants are watered (12 ml Alga grow, 4 ml silic rock, 4 ml calmag pro, 4 ml pure zym ... on 4 l of rain water), each plant receives 1300 ml. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: I'm currently looking for a way to rise the pH of the soil permanently (from pH 5.5 to 6.5). Any suggestions? Plan: Gain height. The plants must still gain height. Continue spraying the plants with rain water (up to four times a day, if I'm around). The plants have to be rotated to better fit into the grow space. Grow cabined has to be cleaned. I hope this report is helpful and informative. Feel free to comment or add suggestions. Until next week, growmies.

06.06 - 12.06.2024 In advance: Vegetative phase is nearing its end, it continues to go according to the plan ; ) . The nematodes are in the pots, three million of those suckers. Got a new watering can and a garden scissor. Still: the LSSH has its problems, the plant does not like the conditions I guess ... maybe. Day 46-52: As soon as the nematodes arrived by post, i watered the plants (1000 ml each, nematodes in the water, 1 ml Calmag, 1 ml Silic Rock, 1 ml Pure Zym). The pot was quite dry, but it was not too late (good timing). Then a few days later i watered again (1500 ml each; 4,5 l were prepared with 4 ml Calmag, 4 ml Silic Rock, 4 ml Pure Zym and 12 ml Alga Grow). The pot was dry, maybe 4 cm above the soil's surface. The Special Queen #1 and the LSSH switched places. Of course i spread out the canopy whenever necessary. Lights were not adjusted. Quite repetative tasks, sorry did not record the tasks in detail like for the other 6 weeks. ... the 3rd level shoots are developed to see what is possible / the outcome. We'll see what will happen. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: Should I let them grow for the full 7 days left for the 8th week, or should I flip to flowering phase earlier. Any suggestions? Plan: Gain a little bit more height (to prevent small buds). Not sure if I switch to flowering in 2-3 or 7 days. I will feed 50% vegetation and 50% blooming fertilizer for this transition phase / from now on, though. I hope this report is informative and helpful. Feel free to comment or add suggestions. Until next week, : ) .

14. - 19.06.2024 In advance: Vegetative phase is over, switched to 12/12 on day 56 (the 16.06.2024). The nematodes did it, so far wa(aaa)y less fungus gnats (basically none). Sorry for having you look on the yellow graveyards all the time. New watering can functions as expected (long neck can) and the garden scissor is used frequently. Still: the LSSH has its problems, the plant is basically still in the cabinet but sort of left behind / overgrown by the others (partially). Day 54-59: I water when the pot is dry 5 cm below the soil's surface. I had to water the plants three times. 1st and 2nd watering with fertilizer(s) as stated above. 3rd watering without alga bloom. With second watering the LSSH received 1 liter, the Royal Gorilla 2 liters and the Special Queen #1 1,5 liters. All other waterings: Every plant 1,5 liters. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: Will 40 cm of height in the cabinet be enough to have the plants strech fully (pots can be lowered if needed)? Plan: Wait for first buds to appear. Royal Gorilla has (as far as I've read) tendencies to be tranny. I hope this is not the case for me. Last statement can't be planned but ... I do not want to think of the plan following the plant going tranny XD. So far so good. TY for reading. Until next week, : ) .

20.06. - 26.06.2024 In advance: Second flowering week. The Royal Gorilla showed first hairs on day three of the week. The Special Queen #1 on day 5. I added four vertical flowering lights (each 20 Watts). For the science I'm trying to benefit flowering on the Royal Gorilla's side branches (left side of the pics) since there are about 20. And: The top colas are beshined, since they're not high enough (right side of the pics; quite low); in addition to about 10 side branches. Some branches of the Special Queen #1 and the LSSH benefit as well. Overall: additional 80 Watts .... I really wanted to do this & we will see what is going to happen ... if it is "worth" it [...]. To be mentioned: The lights do not rise the temperature. The LSSH is still not in the best shape but continues to gain height, it is maybe 5-8 cm behind and therefore not that small at all (stem is really thick). It did not show flowering signs yet. The Royal Gorilla and the Special Queen #1 only show female flowers btw. Day 60-66: I water when the pot is dry 5 cm below the soil's surface. I had to water the plants three times. 1st watering with fertilizer(s) as stated above. 2nd watering only with the additives. 3rd watering: plain water. The Royal Gorilla requires about 2 liters, 300 ml runoff. The Special Queen #1 gets 1,5 liters, same runoff. And the LSSH gets about 1,3 liters with the same amount of runoff. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: Will the lights be worth it in the end ... I don't think so. But it will be interesting to see (at least for me). Plan: Wait for more budsites to appear. Watch dryness of the pots carefully. TY for reading. That's it. Until next week, : ) .

27.06. - 03.07.2024 In advance: Everything is OK. I managed to take photos only on 27th June. Will post beginning of week 11 due to this "inconvenience" today (on 5th July). Day 67-73: I water when the pot is dry 5 cm below the soil's surface. I had to water the plants three times. Still (quite) the same shedule as last week: 1st watering with fertilizer(s) as stated above. 2nd watering only with the additives. 3rd watering: plain water. Then: Repetition. The following statements are an rough estimate: The Royal Gorilla requires about 2 liters. The Special Queen #1 gets 1,5 liters. And the LSSH gets about 1,3 liters. Maybe ... every 2nd to 3rd day. For completion / should be clear: I cut leaves if not "too much" to get light shining onto "bud sites". Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. No more Power Puds, instead: Sugar Royal. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: - Plan: (Still:) Wait for more "bud sites" to appear. Watch dryness of the pots carefully. TY for reading. That's it. Until next week, : ) .

04.07. - 10.07.2024 In advance: First Royal Gorilla flowers are there, Special Queen #1 flowers as well. No signs of flowers on the LSSH, yet (neither female, nor male). Heights: Royal Gorilla 73 cm, Special Queen #1 84 cm, LSSH 66 cm. First two mentioned developed their distinct smell, Royal Gorilla smells (!) . Distance to "top lamp" on average is 26 cm @ 100 %. Day 74-80: See week 10; same sheme and fertilizers. In addition to last week: PK 13-14. Watering and fertilizing shedule of the week: See statements above. There is one BioTab in each pot. Question of the week: Is it a regular phenomenon that the LSSH's flowers appear that late? Plan: Continue the grow ; ) . ... seems to be really a watering and waiting "game". I'll try to figure out how to make better pics without hassle ... . TY for reading. Will post photos in week 12 again. Until then.

11.07. - 17.07.2024 In advance: The LSSH showed the first signst of flowering about 4 days ago. Looks like i have to run the lights longer. Look at the pictures ... I guess she's still struggeling from many deficiencies - she's the greenest plant. Otherwise: Everything went well. ... the other two plants are quite frosty (I'm impressed). The Royal Gorilla's buds are dense. Day 81-87: LST was applied on the LSSH on day 86 by using some sort of clip. Same watering sheme and fertilizers as last week on all plants. There is one BioTab in each pot (from the beginning of the grow). Question of the week: ... yeah. I won't cut the LSSH, but I'm still not sure about it ... Plan: Many more weeks to go. ... Hoping that the top buds grow into giant buds. TY for reading.
