Jacob's Remedy from Mephisto Genetics (specific strain/breeder was not an option when creating this diary)
started in final container, following GWE guide: https://www.growweedeasy.com/easiest-way-to-germinate-cannabis-seeds-plant-seeds-in-soil
planted 4/30
sprouted 5/6
day 1
one cotyledon seemed to slouch at first
day 3
hit with spray bottle to moisten top
day 6
moisture meter shows mostly dry around seedling site, watered about 1.75 cup
day 7
did i water too soon? looks maybe a little overwatered
5/13 day 8
accidents happen and the whole pot took a small tumble. plant didnt fall over or look hurt at all, but it was quite a commotion.
5/14 day 9
these wavy leaves have me worried but everything else seems healthy about the plant so lets just press on
5/15 day 10
these new leaves exploded, also time for a watering
5/18 day 13
wavy, droopy leaves still have me concerned but it's also showing no other signs of problems and hopefully im just being paranoid. first water with Grow Big Fox Farms nutrients (1/4 recommended dosage)
editor's notes: coming back to this diary after several weeks of problems for all plants as a part of this grow, but jacob's remedy has largely been resilient to the issues that other plants ended up having, which is cool. notes will have a tinge of "this is where i may have gone wrong", but again, jacob's remedy stayed doing alright for longer than others.
5/20
dehumidifier came in, dropped humidity of lung room to ~65%
5/21
watered 3 cups with 1/4 strength Grow Big
(in hindsight, this was a mistake, too many nutes, should have just been straight water)
5/27
looking pretty dang good, also first signs of flowering/pistils/bud sites
5/26
realized my over-nuting problem, had not been paying attention to pH-ing my water because i kept hearing "dont worry about it with soil until theres a problem." well, other plants had problems, not jacob's remedy so much, but theyre all on the same water schedule from the same reservoir. since water is typically ~9.0 out of the faucet, using pH down to bring it between 6-7
5/28
top leaves are starting to curl downward, too inexperienced to diagnose why (this will continue to affect fan leaves near the top of the plant over the next few days/weeks)
5/30
attempted some light defoliation, just the first two leaves at the bottom for now as they were mostly yellow and receiving no light at this point
6/3-6/9
started getting some yellowing leaves after watering with pH'd water for about a week. possible nutrient lockout or burn, idk. probably fine to just be pHing the water regularly though, right?
defoliating yellow leaves as they yellow past 30-50% of the leaf. more tips starting to curl, but otherwise looking pretty healthy, so just powering through
6/10-6/16
started realizing in my attempt to correct overwatering, i started underwatering. starting to judge based on the weight of the pot.
continued defoliation as needed.
on 6/15, decided it was time to reinstroduce nutrients after weeks of no nutes and pHing to flush/fix lockout. watered with 1/4 strength Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom.
