Dialed back hard on the nutes this week, and gave them a few pure water feeds. All the girls are chugging along and stacking away, but each has their issues. I am not too worried about any of it. It really is just battle damage from growing so large and fast. They are mainly eating the lower fan leaves away, and I had some light burn on the upper canopy because they have all gotten a bit too large for their enclosure. I dialed back the light intensity and switched to an 18/6 light schedule to try and mitigate the damage a bit. (The bigger issue is with the summertime temps I can't get a nice cool period for the girls. During the fall/winter/spring I can easily get the room down to 62-64 and have the daytime ride around 72 during flower, but this time I am stuck around 70-71 at night with 76-78 daytime temps (Fahrenheit of course.)
They are actually on day 51 from sprout as of now. So we are technically in week 8. I figure Purple Punch and Slushyfist should end right around their 10-week estimate, and then I can let Banana ride until she is ready. (I would guess she has closer to a month, but we will see!)
Good luck!
The fat banana plants in my current grow are a bunch of dense bushes, I hardly can see the stem/nodes through all the side branches and leaves.
Good strain choice!
@Shishio, well my bananas did not stretch too much so far. They rather grow slow but steady and keep being very bushy.
Did defoliate last sunday and now I have to redo again because I cant see the ground again with multiple layers of leaves blocking lower nodes...
@taprootArmy, looks like my Banana is following that same path! I hope her flower stretch gives me some room to work with or I will need to get the clippers out!
