Starting off week 3 still seeing the droopiness so I'm going to invest in a pH pen instead of the drop test to make sure everything's locked in correctly.
6/6 ph looks fine. Haven't watered in well over 48 hours and pots are still heavy. Will water with pH dustilled water before giving nutes again as nitrogen toxicity symptoms still showing.
Figured out what the issue was. Amazon sent the soil version of grow big which has double the nitrogen as the hydro formula. They are sending the right stuff so it should be here today and I now have a free bottle for my soil grow. I knew something wasn't right!
Pots were starting to dry a bit so I fed to runoff with calmag and big bloom. Hoping to see continued improvement.
6/8 plants have turned around big time without the overdose of soil based grow big. Amazon sent the wrong bottle again So I just ordered grow big hydro from a different company.
6/10 wrapping up week 3 plants are booming now that I have the right nutes going in.
good luck with your first grow.
My experience is that watering frequently is a bad thing for cannabis.
I also did it it for the first days and early on it was ok, but you want to change quickly to a watering shedule where the surface is dry for a longer period of time and the roots take water from deeper areas of your pot.
Im my opinion/experience the plants need a little bit of dry stress after a couple of days to encourage roots to grow deeper.
@PDreer, I dont know. sorry I only just saw that you are mostly using coco coir. I have no experience with that. forget what I said 😨
However, in general, my experience is: better too dry than too wet
I am only watering to runoff at least 2 inches away every 4 to 5 hours. Then during my off time it gets no water for ten hours give or take a couple daily. I have self feeding pots but that won't work until the roots reach the bottom. Is ten hours daily without water enough? It's usually dry when I check it.
