Black Cream Auto - DWC

I am extremely excited about this strain. The cold winter temperatures with the genetics will hopefully result in some really dark buds! Starting an auto-flower to run alongside my other journal that’s mid-way through flower, so I can start developing some more bud variety. As soon as I move to flush the concurrent grow, I’ll probably put two more autos in the same tent. Since it's starting in a normal plant's flowering cycle, after germ it will be going to 12-12 for probably three weeks, but once that plant is done I'll change the light period to 18-6 or 24-0 all depending on if my basement is getting too cold during off times. It's already a little rough with it being 28F. This is a really simple DWC set-up, just buckets with net pots and two stones going into each. Probably going to top after three nodes and secure each COLA to the bottom of the bucket for training. Thank you all for reading and I'll try to keep pictures coming daily! Just transplanted into the tent with my other plants flowering. Even with the bloom setting on running 12-12 will hopefully be gentle enough for the seedling. If it responds well this week I’ll probably really start to crank nutrients fast.

Getting excited that given the genetics being super colorful that thealready dark stalk in germ is a good omen. Other than that nothing special yet. It’s been taking well, developing pretty normally. I added some extra nutrients into the bucket and strive to water it with the reservoir water at least twice a day to keep the developing roots moist. Excited for the other grow to finish in the next two weeks. I plan on sealing the tent and running 24-0 with CO2 at around 1400PPM as soon the other two strains are settled. A Gorilla Glue #4 from Expert Seeds and Cheese NL from Ministry of Cannabis are next! I’ll probably begin germ on them shortly before flushing the Purple Urkle.

Started to sprout up this week. Cranked up the nutes a little more. There’s an extreme difference in veg speed from 24-0 down to 12-12. Definitely excited to get my other two harvested so I can seal the tent and turn on the CO2. I’m able to hold the tent around 82-85F reliably with the water temp safe with hydroguard. It will definelty be fun to see how the GG#4 Auto will blow up.

Turned the CO2 on today and the tent temp is around 85F. Hopefully it can encourage some real growth. She started to show some pistils already. I’m not sure if I should top anymore with the slow development. Either way healthy looking roots! Definitely will not go 12-12 out of seed again. Not a bunch of photos because there isn’t too much to show.

Almost quadrupled in size over the last week and a half. Really stretching without too much bushiness. Looking great though!

Unfortunately, during the drying of my other plant, I needed the tent to contain the smell and had to set these guys up outside the tent for a few days. One night the ventilation messed up and the room went above 86F and this one was really hurt by the increase in temp. Hoping she can recover to give at least an OZ yield. On the brightside (or darkside) the under leaves are getting super dark. Very interesting earthy cream smell coming off so far. Before anyone asks: the pH has been stable at 6.1, I eased back on nutes about a week ago, the light has plenty of room above, and the roots are nice and pearly white. The wilting is from pure heat stress. I will probably start germing a new Black Cream redemption run, the 12-12 and heat fluctuations really hurt her more than I thought. This is a VERY SENSITIVE PLANT.

I’m pretty disappointed with how this one is looking. Nowhere near ready for harvest, probably another 3-5 weeks. I’d be surprised if it yields more than 20g. Hopeful that it will just be a late bloomer and bulk a little more. On the bright side, despite the bracts looking pollinated, I took one apart and it doesn’t contain seeds thankfully. Was a big fear with how the buds are developing that it was pollinated.

Buds are turning super purple!!!! Tric's are still a bit clear and she's still cultivating mass. Maybe I can let her go another week or two before contemplating a harvest.
