Slow start Jiffy pellet refused to cooperate, over all, far too wet for proper germination. I struggled to find a good location in my house for stable conditions, once that was sorted we finally started to make progress.

Still moving slowly, or maybe not, this is my first 🤷‍♂️. I did buffer my coco very well before starting, but I keep reading that I should always supplement my coco with every watering, I did not inoculate it, so decided to start with cal mag and voodoo mixed 2ml/l and then diluted down to 300ppm at a 5.8 PH once daily at 150ml total.

Not much traffic but for anyone thats popped in and wanted an update. Just started showing herself. Now that I know shes a female I guess its time to name her. Looking forward to getting a net over her soon, any advice on that subject would be openly received as im not totally convinced its needed. I also added and second 200w vivosun aerolight A200SE to my small space and dialed them down to %50 as I have some more autos in the tent that are about 2 weeks behind and I was struggling to feed all the plants the appropriate amount of light. Ultimately, this has proved to be a good balance by manipulating the side flaps and heights of both lights to suit either side of the tent. Im also %100 confident that without an auto water setup I will never grow in coco with liquid nutes again. Its just too much water to have to serve up on a daily basis. Definitely moving to Mr Canucks organic coco mix for my second run.

First week of pre flower. Getting nervous about this transition stage, first plant ever, any advice on how to not screw it all up?!? Also, someone give me some feedback! I think she looks in decent health but I would love some experienced opinions.

Just growing through the net now, slight defoliation only when needed, cleaned out some low hanging leaves underneath and a few hopeless bud sites under the canopy. I feel like I could probably defoliate a bit more but not gonna push my first plant, just doing as much tucking as I can to help out. Its adding an inch plus everyday of height now and I am not sure how tall she is going to stretch, Im running out of room above the lights so from here on nearly every inch of stretch will be closing that gap. 18” now will be keeping a close eye and hopefully will not have to dim my lights. Currently running 200w @ 100% veg tuned.

Looks like she is finally done stretching, just over two weeks of preflower, but she is coming into the home stretch. Environment is very stable, bit more of a swing then I would prefer for lights off but for now im focusing on the fact that it is atleast consistent and the plant seems to be happy enough that I should not complain as it is a brand new environment and my first at that. The aroma is great, by the way, it does not smell like most would expect, especially at this stage. Opening the tent gives a very organic smell like rich soil with a hint of sweetness. End of the week; Buds are starting to fatten up and theres a touch of sparkle to almost all major budsites. The smell is more pungent everyday. Sitting at a good distance from the light and the environment seems stable (ish) current heatwave is starting to bump temps up slightly but nothing troublesome at this point. Week 8 Sooon!! Higher VPD starting to hit 🤕 current heat wave has my temperatures up and my humidty is creaping down aswell with the tent closed, this combination has my vpd rising towards almost 2.0 during the 12-16th hr of lights on. Starting to see some tip burn and curling and slight discolouration of the some leaves. For now I have tent open and will smoke something and think about my next move. AC not an option*

Might be heading for trouble, cut to half dose…. Looking through some other grow diaries and seeing most people feeding at about half or less of the recommended AN feed schedule. Other than a small cal mag def early, which was fixed very easily with 2 foliar sprays, this plant has done pretty good with full recommended dose, until this week!! Flushed 3 litres through at 1/4 dose nutes full 2ml/L-cal/mag then started a half dose week 3 flower sched. If probelms persist then I will flush again and try 1/4 dose. Added humidifier back into room to keep humidity at 55 Removed net and defoliated, moved her room mate to my closet to give her light and space for the final weeks coming up. Further investigation and troubleshooting has me thinking she may actually be into a potassium deficiency, the odd thing about that is the AN nutes I am running suggest using “big bud” as an enhancer supplement. The strange part is that my lowered nute concentration still included a full dose of both “big bud” and “bud candy”. I was not willing to forfeit the benefits of those two supplements over the base nutes in this recipe. So. This week I will feed at %50 base nutes and full supplements of cal/mag and Bud Candy but will up my Big Bud a smidge and maybe another smidge more if combined efforts of revised nutes and extra space/air/light dont achieve desired results. I am also planning a fairly heavy defoliation, maybe end of week if she bounces back enough. A generous amount of frost starting to show, I will pull the microlense out for some trichome development pictures this week. Limping into the finish line it looks like. But She will be harvested. Heading into coast mode for now, just gonna ride her out and see what happens. There will be some bud there to be proud of.

Starting to see some amber trichomes all over the plant maybe %5. Looks like about two weeks from harvest. Started flush cycle for last week. Will probably turn the lights off on in a couple days

Trichomes are showing strong Amber. I wanted to wait another week and see if she would plump up anymore more because of lockout issues I think she is spinning her wheels. Flushed for 4 days put into 48hrs dark. Next update will be harvest. I guess thats a complete grow cycle, my very first in all honesty. I had some problems along the way, which is good, learning opportunities will always be important to getting better. Knowing that I will have some decent nugs to harvest to me is a %100 success. Thanks to anyone who has stopped in from time to time to follow along and especially anyone who took the time to comment or help with any questions. I will have some photos of the chop/trim aswell as a weigh in of wet and dry flower in the following couple weeks. A full review for anyone interested in hearing about some lockout flavours!! Bahaha. Much Love, “JUUST smoke it YO!”
