Germination
2y ago
Maro86 Hello everyone, I'm starting my very first cannabis grow and I'm full of excitement about this endeavor. Since I'm an absolute beginner, I welcome any criticism and suggestions that can improve my skills. In the past, I've only grown chilies and other vegetables, and I'm using some of this equipment. My first attempt is definitely not optimal and needs a lot of improvements. Since I don't have my own garden, I have to let the little ladies grow on the windowsill for now, and then I'll transplant them and later move them to their designated spots. Unfortunately, I had to transplant due to lack of space, even though the plants don't take it well. I got the little ladies to germinate after 2 days in kitchen paper. Every seed germinated, which made me very happy.

Maro86 In the first few days, I grew the seedlings in Jiffys and then transferred them to larger pots. Unfortunately, I buried two seedlings a bit too deep after germination, so they lagged behind compared to the other sisters. I only gave them very little water, so I soaked the substrate once and then only watered a little afterward. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the plant pictures in the right order, so they're unfortunately unsorted... I take extensive photos of the plants every morning and try to capture everything I can in pictures. So please excuse the chaotic order of the images.

Maro86 The second week went relatively uneventfully as I only did some light watering. I also installed my old lamp during the week, which doesn't cover everything in terms of brightness. Two CBD plants from FastBuds are unfortunately a bit stunted and have such slow growth that I sorted them out in week 3. It didn't make sense to keep them alive any longer. I think I made the mistake again of planting them too deep and then had to "dig them up" later, which damaged the roots accordingly.
