Gelato 45: Living Soil

kizdog A week behind the Mimosa EVO, but shouldn’t be a problem. Looking good! First proper week so not much to say, and I'm catching up on posting.

kizdog Transplanted into big pot this week. Everything looks good!

kizdog Topped at the end of the week. I left an extra 2 leaves compared to the Mimosa EVO in hopes she will catch up.

kizdog Cover crop is coming through nicely! Very green and luscious. Recovering from the topping really well

kizdog Scrog net is up now, so LST shouldn’t be as much effort. Bring on the tucking!

kizdog Final week of veg, I think it’s safe to say she caught up to the Mimosa EVO plant next to her. She may be even bigger! Flower time! 🌸✅ Very proud

kizdog This girl is gonna be a tall one! End of week F1, the stretch is already in full swing. Due to the other plant not stretching nearly as much, I’d say we’re looking at some supercropping.

kizdog The stretch has continued! Just as I thought, some supercropping needed to happen, to keep my canopy relatively flat. No matter what I do, I think there’ll be a decent difference in height between my plants. Growing 2 different strains always seems to go this way for me, no matter how close they seem on the specs. But, I’m kind of happy, as the shorter plant is ripening a lot quicker, so hopefully each plant has an ideal amount of light for their situation.

kizdog Flowers are starting to catch up with the Mimosa to her right. Still stretching, and still supercropping. Going to get a lovely yield off this girl, as long as she doesn't run out of nutrients.

kizdog Lovely big plant. Leaves seem to be indicating a less-than-ideal nitrogen level in the soil, but my top dresses have been keeping it healthy.

kizdog She’s really packing on the trichomes! Very excited to see how she turns out 🤟gonna be an extremely frosty smoke, it seems. Lots of lower buds for edibles too.

kizdog Looking great! Not fully sure she’ll be done by week 10 but I’m off to Amsterdam so I have to chop at that point, and the other plant will definitely be done by then so we should be all good. Last top-dress this week as I’ve run out.

kizdog Colas are putting weight on! Had a slight thrip issue so the yield won’t be ideal, but it doesn’t seem to have had a big effect. Fingers crossed I'm right!

kizdog Maturing, ripening, packing weight on. Lovely plant, but slightly too long-flowering for me. Don’t think she’ll quite reach the end. A few white pistils, but I have to chop as I'm going to Amsterdam.

kizdog 1 more full week after this one! Chop is on 18th August. Lovely terps on this one, and extra greasy. Hoping for a gassy smoke. So proud of this grow.

kizdog Woooo! We’re finally here, the last week. The girl has been sucking up Nitrogen like a mf, seeing one yellowing down below. But god DAMN, the nuts are gorgeous and smelly.
