Gave them nutrients too early a week ago and they were not happy. Went back to Cal-Mag water and they bounced right back. Now will try the nutrients again.
Seemed like growth was slower than it should be. TDS of runoff was 1300 ppm. Not good. Ran 1.5 gallons of Cal-Mag water through each. Now TDS is 1000 ppm which is probably still a bit high but I'll wait and see. This was my fault for not rinsing the new coco coir bricks like I should have and did do on my first grow. Lesson learned FAFO!
Moving along not much to mention. Switched to General Hydroponics nutrients. I cannot understand why I can never find them in the list of nutrient manufacturers on this site.
P1 is a bit bigger and has more of a yellow color. Not sure about yellowish color as both plants have identical everything (light, nutrients, grow medium).
Lots of growth this week. Removed a few leaves that were blocking light from the lower branches. Lots of LST on plant 1. Plant 2 is so compact and runtish I really can't do much of anything to it. Interestingly Plant 2 is a darker shade of green with some purple in the leaf stems while Plant 1 is a lighter shade of green with no purple.
P1 is definitely doing some stretching. P2 is still a dwarven untrainable runt who is showing no signs of stretching.
Some light defoliation and LST.
Showing some minor signs of nutrient burn so I cut down a bit on the MaxiBloom and am trying to keep the VPD around 0.9 to 1.0.
The differences between the two are amazing. P1 is light green and moving along in the flowering stage. P2 is dark green, really short and stumpy, and not showing signs of flowering.
Removed some leaves that were shading bud sites. Started running dehumidifier to up that vpd. During lights on vpd will run around 1.1 to 1.2 but with humidifier running that will hit 1.6. Dehumidifier does increase temperature by 5 degrees which gets the temperature up to 75 degrees which is fine.
I'm thinking this will be at least a 12week from seed to harvest.
Some defoliation to get flowers the maximum light. Guessing a week or two until Plant 1 is ready for harvest. Plant 2 I think is a good week or two behind in flower development. Very exciting grow with two different genetic expressions of the strain.
Looking good so far. Cut down on the Maxi Bloom and removed some of the larger leaves. Really not much odor at all with this one. My best guess is about another week on p1 and 3 weeks on p2 until harvest.
Plant 1 is definitely showing some serious fall colors. Having a very hard time getting the microscope in there to look at trichomes with all the leaves in the flower. Feeding it a weak nutrient solution for its final few days.
Plant 2 is bulking up nicely. Removed some lower leaves getting little or no light. Tied branches down where I could to improve light and airflow.
Really impressed with how easy these were to grow. P1 really embraced fall colors with nice short but fat buds. P2 is coming along nicely but I think its going to be another couple of weeks before she is ready.
Looking nice, looking frosty, but not looking ready for harvest. I would expect a week at most.
Trimmed up some leaves that where shading the buds to try and get them some more light for this final week. Reduced nutrients in fertigation solution.
Really nice looking plant. Lots of trichomes like her sister. Although she took longer I believe this one might end up being 100 grams but we will see.
