Hey growmies, it may be raining outside but it's still warm and cosy in Zen's Greenhouse 😉 ✌️ Last year I grew this strain but it was too late in the season. This brought a lot of mold issues and I really wanted to try this strain again. So here we are with two tiny new CBD plants in the making! The beans were over a year old and I didn't keep them in the fridge. I had my doubts if the beans would still pop after all this time, but thankfully they did!
The CBD's are still very tiny seedlings but going strong! They are in the final pots and ready to start their ascend to the top 🚀. With the cold nights in western Europe it's good that they're safe in the greenhouse. At night I close the windows and door, protecting them from the cold. Not much more to say at this point, let's see how fast they grow 😀
Allright! The temperatures are rising and the sun is finally shining on the two tiny CBD plants. They still look a bit fragile as they stretched more than they should because of the cloudy days. I hope they will become stronger in the coming week. Stay tuned for more pics and updates ☘️✌️😀
The CBD plants are picking up speed. This week was very sunny and it immediately shows ✌️. I do have to water them 2 times a day now to keep them from getting too dry. The small leafs looked a bit wrinkled but the new leafs look much better now, perhaps it had something to do with the high humidity of the last few weeks.
Last week was very cloudy and this shows in the plants. They look healthy enough, but remain smaller then I wish. Let's see how they grow this week. I'm waiting for at least a week before adding Biotabs as the Plagron Allmix soil is very rich in nutrients.
The CBD ladies are picking up speed and growing faster by the day. Still quite small plants in their fifth week of vegetation, I would have expected them to start flowering already. But then again, nothing is certain in nature and the lack of sunny days also has an impact on the plant's growth. No hurry though, let's see how they grow this week. Thanks for stopping by and happy growing ☘️✌️😊
The plants are starting to bloom and also stretching a lot now. This is a good thing since they were quite small until now. The weather is also improving and it immediately shows in the plant growth as well.
I added the BioTabs fertilizers last week so that should last them until harvest. To give them some more support in the blooming stage I'll add BioTabs Compost Tea and Bio P-K booster.
The CBD plants are starting to stretch and the buds are developing well. They are quite different in appearance with a short bushy pheno and one that stretches more. I'm giving Orgatrex and BioPK to support the bloom. Next week I will give them some additional Compost Tea.
Hey growmies, the CBD ladies are growing more buds every day! This week the trichomes are starting to grow on the fanleafs and on the buds. And with the trichomes comes the terpenes 😊 The smell is sweet and honey like. They still have a few weeks to go and I hope the buds will fatten up some more. It kind of looks like they are foxtailing?
The plants are growing more buds every day. The foxtailing is actually not a bad thing. I lost some big buds in the greenhouse due to budrot, and with the foxtails the air circulation around the buds is just perfect. The calyxes are quite big in this stage of blooming. As for the trichomes, they are filling the buds and leafs and the smell is really nice.
The leafs indicate that the bloom is in it's late stages ✌️☘️ The buds are still foxtailing but also producing more and more resin. Not sure how long they will need before harvest, but most of the trichomes are milky on both plants. The smell is really nice, sweet and like honey. Can't wait to try it!
The strain was easy to grow. I love the smell which is sweet and mostly lemon. The resin production was abundant, ewspecialy in the last 2 weeks of bloom, turning the plant into a sparkling christmas tree in the morning sun. One plant had some mold issues, but since I grew them in the greenhouse this was expected. The second plant had no mold at all which is great. Overall a care-free grow resulting in a decent harvest of nice CBD loaded buds.
Smoke report
The smell is great after drying. It's an intense aroma, mostly citrus and earthy tones. The smoke wasn't that great as it was quite harsh on the throat, but the effects were strong. After a few hits I immediately noticed the clear and calming effects in my head. I grew this with the idea of using it for daytime vaping, but given the harsh smoking effect on the throat I decided to make CBD oil instead.
Finally harvest time for the CBD plants! One of them was getting some mold issues in the last week so I was glad to be able to harvest them today. Both plants smell really nice. My plan was to only use them to make CBD oil, but I will definitely save some buds for vaping during the daytime. Thanks for following along and for the uplifting comments ✌️☘️😊
