MELONADE RUNTZ - how to fuck up 4x still get fire weed
The first thing i'll do is thank Dutch passion for sending me someof those seeds, im really curious how they grow!
I put the seed between two cotton pads, into a small, opened baggy. Spray LIGHTLY water on the insides of the pad with the seed, and then once inside the baggy. Put that into my pocket and tadaa, 100% germination rate, everytime, since im doing this method.
Yooyooyyooohohooo000ooo
Week 1 Vegetative growth, it's just waiting at this point until something happens. Well something happened and with something I meant I flooded my tent with my new and cool drip irrigation set up: take a look here if you want to see that: https://growdiaries.com/diaries/214182-ganja-farmer-seeds-g-m-o-grow-journal-by-seedler
Again for the second time in 6 months THANK GOD someone thought about waterproof bottom parts for grow tents. THANK YOU.
For now, there isn't much to do. I gave basic fertilizer, she gets 18h Light every day, The rH is 75-80% and the temp is around 22 degrees Celsius so VPT is optimal. Until now, it's a happy little plant.
Migro ARAY 4 is at 25% and around 25cm away which gives provides EVENLY over the whole space a DLI of 15. i LOVE that lamp, i wish it had built in timer!
Cheers!
DLI about 20
She is growing SO fast in hydro, the Plagron fertilizer seems to be more than sufficient. I gave her DLI of 25 and she did not got magnesium chlorosis so the fertilizer should have enough CalMag in it.
another very important thing i noticed since using the Plagron fertilizer, the pH is suspiciously still and not moving. 2 weeks and so far no pH drift AT ALL, its still 5.8-5.9 and im not complaining. i hope it stays this way, but i will keep an eye on it!
Very happy so far, roots are getting the water and im suprised every day i look into the tent and see just how much she grew.
I think i will Mainline her (:
I started the Mainlining with the 3rd and 4th node. I removed everything below and above that.
and already topped the two mains growing from the 3rd node.
I topped the plant the first time with some sharp cutting pliers and topped the 2 branches on the 3rd node with a scalpel because i was curious if it would make a difference.
She grew a lot in this week. really easy grow so far.
She grows so well, with basically just the base fertilizer from plagron. i can HIGHLY recommend this fertilizer if you just want to buy one product. Also the pH was never this stable.
she is mainlining well, took the topping like a champ.
Ayyy, look at her growing! i was away for a weekend and look at this jump.
The first broken off stem attached itself after taping it. the Second branch i broke off, i tried to attach a cutting from another branch, fixated it with tape and a metal clamp. Which did not work but i think it's because i let too much green on it, so i dried up before it could fix itself. MAYBE. It's just my observation but i want to try every method i can think of, trying to attach a broken off stem again, and I will be successful finding the best technique for me. And i will share it, if i found it!
Next time i will remove almost any green so it's just a little stump, i think the shorter the cutting the better.
What do you say about the Training so far? (:
Look what I did to my girl, poor lady. But i'm sure she will bounce back, but with all that leaf shit It's hard to properly tie them down.
So i broke off a total of 2 branches (yellow tape) and managed to attach one back to it. Otherwise she took all the stress LIKE A CHAMP - yet. We'll see.
To be honest, i was quite lazy with her the last days, it was pretty stressful but look at her, she is basically growing herself!
As long as you can cool it, have some sort of system to change water and some, basic nutrients and ph- DWC is the easiest system for me, 100%
Look at the roots and i did not fill up the reservoir for like half a week, so a lot of it wsd exposed to air for a longer time still she is growing and growing.
Two more weeks and i might have a problem with her in flower, because she will drink so much water the reservoir won't hold a long time haha.
Almost forget, i need to add either more fertilizer /ml or give extra calmag. will probably do both kekw
Cheers guys! (whoever reads this, this is your sign, get high 👌)
She is just growing, and growing, started to pre flower and already smelling a bit.
I will grow it up a few cm, and if i think i can train an even canopy i will start to flower her (:
very resistant to heat, it got up to 34 Celsius inside the tent 💀
But training her is REALLY fun and easy to do!
Cheers!
Hard weeks, i can barely take care of my plants.
Im so glad the training is done. i just need to keep her alive and healthy and then it's already flower time.
I hope i will be able to take care of her more when she goes into flower.
Until then, i hope everyone is doing alright, take care of yourself,
cheers! (:
I had some pH drift it was about 5.18, i checked because i saw some discoloration that usually tell me there is a pH problem.
So i corrected and topped the water, it should be happy now (i only did 2 complete water changes lol) and hopefully she will bounce back in one or two days.
Week 8 of Veg and i screwed up pretty bad haha, i did not check the pH regularly so it sat at 4.8 for some days, and it looks kinda bad, even got some necrosis. Totally my bad.
she is still growing, but very different than I'm used too. she looks sick, the branches are lanky and weak, leafs are tiny, grow slow but at least she is growing. lol.
Routine is important, even more when you feel down. Whatever it is, hang in 😼
Cheers!
Okkkkkkkay, i fucked up a little over the past weeks but sometimes keeping everything together is hard.
But I managed to fix her, fresh water change, new nutrients and new Training so she can spread a little wider and also gave her a little trim.
So pH is 5.5-5.8
DLI is at 30. i wanted to turn it down a little because she was looking really sad.
but she is finally recovering, new growth is a nice green color. Having her this long in veg is really weird haha
WELL, there we are!
Finally i put her into flower, she is drinking already 1,5L of water EVERY DAY. in VEG!!! i hope i don't have to refill the bucket every second day when in flower 💀
She recovered really nicely, and is healthy and strong for flower.
I really like the genetics, nice fast growth and i can't wait to see her producing buds.
My plan is to get the canopy even more even and get as much uniformity as possible so i will get a lot of nice buds with the same quality.
DLI is on 25 RN and will be adjusted slowly over every week.
next goal of DLI is 30 by the end of the week.
I hope you guys are doing good, take care of yourself and see you on the next update (:
Yoyoyoyoyo party people!
It's been week 2 of Flower, the stretch hit HARD!
Starting at about 30-ish cm to 43 (with a lot of LST tho) developed an almost nice and even canopy already.
Scrog net is always nice, and i highly recommend everyone trying it at least once!
So far i only gave Plagron basic nutes and she looks great. I Like the product, contains a lot of product for the price, pH isn't drifting all over. With my light, i need to supply extra calmag, as you can see on the purple branches.
I'm ashamed to admit, i've only done 2.5 reservoir changes in 12 weeks 💀 Please do it better. At least every 2 weeks! (or watch week 10💀💀)
Already starting to smell something "sus". im excited every day looking into the tent. I hope i can even out the canopy as much as possible and then full on Blast with 40 DLI as much as possible.
I adjusted both fans, so i have one below the canopy and one above, hopefully this will improve the wet spots that occur sometimes caused by the high humidity, caused by the high temps)
Stats for nerds:
DLI 30 inceased to 34 over this week
VPD 0,7-0,85 (it was really warm, so i went with a lot of humidity, temps up to 34Celsius and rH 85 kekw
Feel loved, take care of yourself, peace !
Yoooyooyoo,
Wekk 13 got some ups and downs. I ran out of calmag starting the grow and kinda hoped i don't need it. If you have strong LED lights and like to have the light close to the canopy like me i would HIGHLY recommend you using calmag. You can see i got magnesium chlorosis pretty early on and the Plagron basic fertilizer did not provide enough with the low-ish dose i gave (1,2ml/l). I like to grow autos and you can't feed that more than that, it feels wrong to do it with photos haha
BUT i did. 2ml/L EACH. and 0,5 calmag which seems enough. But me wanting to try out foliar spray (brilliant idea), because i already could see calcium spots on the leaves. kinda got me some slight toxicity (you can see the tips if you look closely)
But she is gucci on calmag i can tell haha. Got a nice green color again and looks very healthy right now.
she is drinking about 1-2L a day depends on the weather. DLI was around 35.
She will look so good in a few weeks, i can't wait.
Cheers (:
Well, Well, Well. What an up and down.
She really grew week from week and changing so much, i wouldn't believe it if it wasn't my own.
So she got a lot bigger, now 60cm high from the pot and already really loud but hard to tell what it smells like, as a grower i bet you know that.
Im not used ti the plants taking so long stacking up bud in flower, but i figured it's because of one huge plant with about 30 tops.
My Stem almost snapped in half from the training (i learned how to train in future tho) BUT it seems like the plant is still okay and starting to frost up.
This time i changed some things up than i would usually do it to see if there will be a difference, which i hope and i will talk about that on harvest, where i can see the results.
Until now, great genetics, hydro can be so easy if you don't fuck up. lol
Holy fucking shit. I upped the E.C. to around 1.9 and it seems she LOVES it. Since the change (from 1.2 to 1.8) she suddenly draws 5L of water a day and the buds are starting to form.
I can clearly already see the typical "cali" US genetics on this plant and i'm very excited to see that develop!
Pretty sure i could have achieved the same state with only 6 weeks of veg, but i had to veg her longer for some other plants.
Im curious, what she will yield, if someone can guess, i would be happy
Take care of yourself, this will be a banger grow!
Well, well, well... one week can change a lot!
I upped the E.C. up to 2.8 this week, just to see how much i can push a photoperiodic, good genetic in my setup. 3.1 was the limit. No wonder over night the water can drop to 5l this would spike the E.C. a lot, so i wouldn't dare to go further.
I like the structure of the typical "US" genetic, but for the moment, the smell isn't great, or special. It smells sharp, peppery in a somewhat unpleasant way. But Im sure that will change. The amount of frost is insane tho! Like really, really, frosty.
She started to finally bud up. She will probably take longer than 10 weeks because it's one huge plant. We will see that over the next weeks!
Cheers!
Holy shit, she is stacking like a beast, do beasts stack? Whatever
This is the 7th week of flower, still at least 3 more to go, but i think it will probably be a little bit longer.
So she got enough time to really develop, i won't miss out on those last weeks when they usually get a nice boost in size.
Already extremely sticky, you have to be careful what you touch, buds are extremely firm
The smell turned into a way, way sweeter smelling, still a bit green/peppery smell. But it's a pleasant smell
i think i slowly have to lower the temperatures to get some color in that girl!
I'M CURIOUS HOW THIS TURNS OUT - Maybe my biggest harvest yet! But whatever it is, I will throw away everything that is above the allowed limit here in Germany! (😽😹)
Take care of yourself. Liebe Krieg
Daaaamn, that's looking good, smelling good, growing good, can't complain!
Harvest and Trim Jail will be wild 💀
I really enjoy the Terra Power Products, i can recommend them for hydro, Soil and coco. the fact A and B has different colors prevented me twice doing something stupid.
but i ran out of product now (after like 5 Full grows) maybe Terra power is gonna send me some more 😏
Anyway, strain is looking good, not as tightly packed, more like single groups of Buds, but that's how the US genetic should look like, right?
First pistils get orange, trichomes still need some time, maybe a month? Well that's a long grow haha
Cheers!
At this point, I'm just waiting and let her ripe, i tried to show a lot of different buds. i like the "US"-look as i will call it, of the strain.
Buds are rather singled out big, dense nugs, than one giant cola. some branches look HOT.
They are sticky, bright green, with lots of pistils sticking out. The buds get really "foxtaily" idk if i messed up with the lights or if they have to "foxtail" THAT much.
really strong smell, i would assume mostly "runtz" but if you get in on your hands, rub it a little it turns really nice and sweet, can't imagine how they will be cured.
she maybe taking 3 or more weeks to finish 💀
Well, first time ever i discovered bud rot and it was awful to cut down one big branch and just throwing away 5 or 10 grams.
It was my fault i guess, i turned off one fan because it was sqeaking. I cleaned the fan, cut off the branch and controlled the other buds but they looked fine. The bud got heavy and leaned against the tent wall, without airflow that probably caused the rot.
So still happy because it could go way worse.
She is SUPER frosty, is turning purple and looks amazing, nice smell and every bud is so dense, like SO dense, i really love it.
The trichomes are still far from done, one not even fully formed heads, so at least 2 weeks i assume.
WELL! What an experience.
I made some mistakes, learned a lot and still got some excellent weed out of it.
Super frosty, LOUD and SO dense it's ridiculous 😂
Sadly i got some (a lot for me) mold, i encountered for the very first time. With it being almost winter in Germany, the temps dropped really hard for some days and then even 60% humidity was too much for the strain. I also would say it isn't that resistant against mold, so just keep that in mind, the buds are so dense, it's really easy for them to trap water.
I had to throw away like 1/4 of the yield, mostly the top buds 💀 That kinda sucked, but it could be worse, it's fire weed tho, i'll add pictures of the buds later.
