I got this seed from a friend and wanted to try an automatic outdoors. I throw it into a glass of water and keep it dark and warm.
On the 04/05, with the taproot only cracking up the seed on the side a little, I plant it directly into the final ~18l plastic pot.
So germination method is a mix of both I guess.
For the first 2 weeks, I always place the OG outdoors during the day and into the tent during the night, where the lights are running.
She was born 07/05. Let the grow begin!
I remember she was stretching SO much, that I was scared she would fall over soon. Luckily I have a "greenhouse", so even when it's windy, she is safe.
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures for the second week. She's stretching and stretching but I will let her stretch a bit and next week I'll start the training!
Still carrying her every day in and out to give her the most amount of light possible. Don't actually know if that's a good idea though.
Start of week 3 and in the picture you can see the stretch quite well.
She put so much energy into stretching that she is quite small. At least she won't fall over and have a strong stem 💪🏻
Also I stopped to carry the plant in and out, since my tent is drying atm, so the lights are out. She is now fully outdoors for the next two weeks
I keep training her to the side of the pot but progress is going very slow.
The weather is really rough this late spring/early summer. But what can you do
You can't see it that well in the picture but I bend the top again towards the side of the pot. Kinda like stairs.
It's just a bit hard to train when the plant is growing that slow.
I removed the "stair" training and pulled the stem to the very side of the pot... FINALLY!
Also added 10g BioGrow, 20g BioBloom and new soil. Now she's getting some nice color and started to preflower a bit.
Still rather slow progress. Unfortunately we just don't have consistent warm or sunny weather.
Fortunately though, my tent will be ready during this week and as long as we have this inconsistent weather and as long as I have the space, she will stay in the tent 24/7.
I think that maybe putting even more fluctuation with the temps and RH on top of the already fluctuating weather conditions, wasn't the best idea in hindsight.
I think she's loving the consistent tent conditions! Flowering really seems to start and the side branches finally make a move.
Will do a lot more training during this week. I almost lost hope but now I like her better and better.
Training every other day worked great!
Her color is just amazing and even better with actual light coming through the window
Yeah definitely was the right decision to move her into the tent! I was training every other day but I think growth is slowing down. Probably starting to put on some bud now.
Alright let's see how the buds gonna develop. Gonna keep you updated ;)
Also, I hope you don't mind my super cute rabbits. I'm trying my chances in the Pets&Pot Cup. Not a lot of experience but I love making pictures of my pets anyway, so why not give it a try.
But don't get too distracted by rabbits because the color of this beauty is just amazing! Wonderful dark green.
Buds are developing. A bit slower than I anticipated but they are developing. I guess it won't yield very much but that's because of the really bad outdoor conditions she started with. Still very excited to see her progression, I hope she keeps that dark green color.
As you can see, the drip irrigation system arrived, which is good. Unfortunately that means that there will be no more Pet's&Pot pictures until harvest :( wish me luck!
Well... plans can change quickly with this plant.
Since I'm growing my personal 3 plants in this tent, I had to move her back outdoors already - these are the last two indoor photos. I thought she could have another week but now it's an outdoor grow again.
Temperatures are way better now but unfortunately no stable weather conditions, so lots of rain in-between.
She did stack some bud but moving her back outdoors probably will slow things down quite a bit. The leaves are also starting to change in color.
As you can see the OG Kush Auto start to stack some bud. Outdoor conditions are quite nice at the moment.
I'm sorry for the lag of updates btw.
I got a bit depressed after my other plants got pollinated, so I didn't have the motivation for a while.
Slowly but surely this small but beautiful lady goes to an end.
I guess it's gonna take this week and another full week until harvest.
Neighbors are telling me sometimes they think I'm outside smoking but it's actually just this little plant producing a strong, pleasant smell.
Okay it was faster than I expected but the trichs were ready in the same week
She dried for 12 days with temps around 20°C and around 60% RH.
Flavor is how you imagine an OG Kush with a very nice high. Not too much stoned, more head high.
