I was away for about 10 days while the GMO were growing. They flourished in the autopots and I came back to bigger plants! Time to lst this coming week.
Topped and lst this week. Trying to keep these short and bushy as my friend said these stretch 3x/4x. I will be flowering these on day 32 of growth. I got cute moving my pH to 5.8. My plants prefer the 6.0 bc they were locking out mg due to the lower pH. Starting to look healthier with new growth now. I’ll be running closer to 3.0 EC to try to slow the stretch. The plants will get a high light intensity along with the higher EC which should help encourage them to stretch less. These are so smelly in veg - never had a plant veg this smelly - I can’t wait to smell them in flower. I’m finishing flowering out gmos mom “Chem D” right now and I’m interested to see the similarities/differences between mother and daughter.
Rotated the autopot so I can access the valve easier. I had some issues with the valve on the left flooding, after cleaning it and reattaching it, the valve appears to be working now. I tied the plants down with plant ties just before flipping which I wish I didn’t do. I was told this would stretch a lot and I tried to slow it down, but it would’ve been better to let everything grow up, then tuck branches into the trellis, rather than securing everything down with ties before it flipped. Lesson learned for the next run. I removed the ties and am letting the plant stretch.
Began defoliating the plant now that it’s entering week 3 of flower. This plant is loving life and is finishing its big stretch. Starting to get some foul GMO smells coming through.
I’m planning to wash one of these plants whole plant fresh frozen to make some live rosin.
The heat wave has made temps a bit challenging but staying below 90. If I keep having these problems I’ll lower the light intensity soon since I don’t yet have AC in my lung room. I’m planning to wash the plant on the right WPFF and dry the one on the right for smoke. It’s starting to give off some stinky gmo smells.
Stretching finished between week 3 and 4. Buds will be fattening up the rest of the way. Strong gmo chem smells coming from the buds. I plan to harvest/freeze some lower branches around day 70 to wash for hash!
The plant on the left is starting to get lockout from issues with the autopot valve in that setup. It stays attached and working fine for about a month, and then eventually stops working and I open my tent to see water flooding the autopot. The flooding stays contained in the system thankfully, but destroyed my rootzone pH. The plant on the right is doing fine besides the heat.
Most of the harvested plant (day 56) was bucked into bags and stored in the freezer to make hash later. I hung a few of the largest branches to smoke while I wait for the other one to finish up. I hope to let the other one mature and will let it go until 12 weeks if it makes it.
Cut down at day 80. I cut the first plant at day 56 and washed a lot of it into FF live rosin. First time doing that’d got lower yields than I wanted but think I know how to bump them up on the next wash!
The 56 tasted good but trichomes weren’t as mature as I wished they would be. I’m thinking the 80 day will be not enjoyable. This 80 day plant will be mostly for smoke.
