After a few months of absence, I am happy to see you all again and to be able to practice and share my favorite hobby with you.
I made a choice of 6 beautiful varieties from the magnificent catalog of Royal Queen Seeds.
My selection is based on species that are about the same in size and flowering time.
I make a separate diary for each variety.
1. Royal Cookies: I had already bred twice before. It remains one of my top favorites.
2. Royal Gorilla: I have bred last time, and is also recommended.
3. Special Queen: once bred with fantastic results. Moreover, I have also seen this species in two other growers, both indoor and outdoor. An immense plant. Respect!
Since my last grow, RQS has added a lot of new varieties, which is why these news:
4. Purple Queen: Purples used to be not so good. But the new generation of purples is fantastic. It is now winter where I live, so during the last 1-2 weeks of cold nights the beautiful purple hues will be able to fully develop again.
5. Green Gelato: Have heard a lot about Gelato, but have never been able to enjoy it. I'm going to change that!
6. Fat Banana: I can not imagine anything, but the name sounds wise. The expectations are therefore high.
Looking great thus far. I am currently growing 2 of these Royal ๐ Gorillaโs ๐ฆ and they are packing some serious buds on 3 weeks into flower. How long are you going to Veg before putting them into flower?
@MagicMikesMeds, Probably I will also go for 7 week veg. I've topped them 3 times. Hopefully that will keep them from too much stretching. But I was thinking it would be better if I had topped them only 2 times to get only 36 tops/600 watt (9 plants x4 branches) instead of 72 (9plants x 8 branches). Maybe I have to remove some branches if my canopy will be too dense.... Let's see....
@Oyziphar, yeah I play around with Veg times every round depending on how well each of my strains have bulked up. This round was a 7 week Veg and I am hoping I did not over Veg as the plants ๐ฑ are still stretching madly
@MagicMikesMeds, Thx ! Previous time I put them in flowering on DAY 42 in 12 liter containers. This time I potted them in 25 liter containers, Probably I'll give them an extra week depending how they develop.
I love logging into this website and seeing some decent little saplings growing starting their amazing journey towards becoming fat bud yielding monsters. Best wishes on this grow my friend and I'm excited to see how everything progresses. Good luck!
