Oyziphar After a few months of absence, I am happy to see you all again and to be able to practice and share my favorite hobby with you. I made a choice of 6 beautiful varieties from the magnificent catalog of Royal Queen Seeds. My selection is based on species that are about the same in size and flowering time. I make a separate diary for each variety. 1. Royal Cookies: I had already bred twice before. It remains one of my top favorites. 2. Royal Gorilla: I have bred last time, and is also recommended. 3. Special Queen: once bred with fantastic results. Moreover, I have also seen this species in two other growers, both indoor and outdoor. An immense plant. Respect! Since my last grow, RQS has added a lot of new varieties, which is why these news: 4. Purple Queen: Purples used to be not so good. But the new generation of purples is fantastic. It is now winter where I live, so during the last 1-2 weeks of cold nights the beautiful purple hues will be able to fully develop again. 5. Green Gelato: Have heard a lot about Gelato, but have never been able to enjoy it. I'm going to change that! 6. Fat Banana: I can not imagine anything, but the name sounds wise. The expectations are therefore high.

Oyziphar A week of hard work with defoliating, debranching and manual bending in order to obtain a nice flat canopy, from 5 to 6 main branches per plant. Now they are ready to go into the flowering process 😜 DAY 2 : Royal Gorilla #1 : 49 cm Royal Gorilla #2 : 53 cm Royal Gorilla #3 : 38 cm

Oyziphar DAY 12 ; Defoliatioin of the plants for the last time and stretching a net to support the colas. A lot of difference in heights between the plants. Plant # 2 looks like a Sativa so fast she grows and with her long internodes. She is the highest plant of my crop. DAY 16 : Because of the net, I can no longer photograph the plants in front profile, and that is why I now take photos from the top. Still no liquid nutrients, only root stimulator. Vertafort and Biotabs do the job fine (for quantities see week 5). Plants are very healthy. No signs of shortages, no problems with too much nutrition. Royal Gorilla #1 = 82 cm ; 5 colas Royal Gorilla #2 = 109 cm ; 6 colas Royal Gorilla #3 = 60 cm ; 6 colas

Oyziphar I had a very positive experience with Royal Gorilla in my previous grow. This time I am less satisfied because the plants vary quite a bit in height. The largest plant is 133 cm tall and the smallest is only 67 cm. The largest plant has a true sativa way of growth: long branches with large internodes and pointed leaves. The smallest has gotten more Indica genes. I have the plants on a platform of various heights, so that they can all get close to the lamp. The plants do not show any nutritional deficiency, but they have been in the same soil for several weeks. So I started to feed them with a fourth dose of Alga Bloom, half a dose of Green Sensation and half a dose of Sugar Royal. Royal Gorilla n°1 : 93 cm Royal Gorilla n°2 : 133 cm Royal Gorilla n°3 : 67 cm

Oyziphar Growth has stopped. Finally. 🙏 Plant number 2 stick out above canopy. She looks like a sativa, with her long internodes and pointed leaves. The plants do not show any shortages of nutrition. Growth has stopped. Royal Gorilla n°1 : 93 cm Royal Gorilla n°2 : 133 cm Royal Gorilla n°3 : 67 cm

Oyziphar Three beautiful plants, all three unique, 😍 so much difference between them. 😻 Plant 1 is a bit of a standard plant. The plant is ripening nicely. The big fan leaves turn yellow, the tops become hard. No purple tones. 👊👊👊 Plant 2 looks like a sativa, large branches, with large internodes and hard tops, which also make bulges. Hard tops.👍👍👍 Plant 3 initially looked like plant 1, but since a few days its leaves have colored with beautiful golden ocher purple shades. Such a beauty ! 🙏🙏🙏 To get all colors up, I switch to a system with cold nights of 10 ° C.😖💤😱 DAY 44 : pictures 😎 DAY 39 & 43 & 47 : Defoliation yellow fan leaves DAY 47 : start flushing , no liquid nuts anymore

Oyziphar DAY 52: During the first weeks I had a hard time with my Gorillas. 😣 In contrast to my previous culture, the plants showed a lot of differences. 😧 Now the differences are even clearer, but they all look great ! 😍 Plant n ° 1 is most like the plants from my previous Gorilla breeding. Beautiful thick buds with beautiful colors. 💪 Plant n ° 2 looks like a sativa. Long internodes with hard, irregular buds with pointed outgrowths. Less pronounced colors. Rock-solid tops spread over the plants. 👆 Plant n ° 3 is a feast for the eyes because of its beautiful golden brown leaves. Pretty small, but you will not notice that at the harvest weight. 💪 No more liquid nuts, so no unpleasant smell or taste in the final product. Only pure water to rinse away all the remains as much as possible.😭 At night they get cold nights (10 ° C), so they can develop their beautiful colors. 😜 The height of the plants can be found in the diary of 👉WEEK 12.👈

Great structure, beautiful goldbrowb colors... what a beauty 😍😜. That's why I took so many pictures of her 😍 😎😍 😍 😵 Plant n° 2 is my haze/sativa-pheno. She could use some more flowering time. Plant n°1 is more of an Indica style pheno, bid fat smelly buds.

Oyziphar Royal Gorilla still remains one of my favorites. Wonderful scent, beautiful buds and delicious weed. This time I had 3 very different phenotypes: Plant # 1 was a medium grower, and tastes and smells like I knew Royal Gorilla from my previous harvest: pine with lemon. Plant # 2 did have a lot of sativa genes. A very long plant, with typical sativa-looking buds, but the taste was not haze-like. The smell was a little bit acidic and slightly chemic. Plant # 3 was so beautiful in color. The smell and taste was rather diesel with subtle hints of chocolate. All in all, Royal Gorilla remains a super strain.

Looking great thus far. I am currently growing 2 of these Royal 👑 Gorilla’s 🦍 and they are packing some serious buds on 3 weeks into flower. How long are you going to Veg before putting them into flower?
Oyziphar
Oyzipharcommented6y ago
@MagicMikesMeds, Probably I will also go for 7 week veg. I've topped them 3 times. Hopefully that will keep them from too much stretching. But I was thinking it would be better if I had topped them only 2 times to get only 36 tops/600 watt (9 plants x4 branches) instead of 72 (9plants x 8 branches). Maybe I have to remove some branches if my canopy will be too dense.... Let's see....
MagicMikesMeds
MagicMikesMedscommented6y ago
@Oyziphar, yeah I play around with Veg times every round depending on how well each of my strains have bulked up. This round was a 7 week Veg and I am hoping I did not over Veg as the plants 🌱 are still stretching madly

@MagicMikesMeds, Thx ! Previous time I put them in flowering on DAY 42 in 12 liter containers. This time I potted them in 25 liter containers, Probably I'll give them an extra week depending how they develop.

I love logging into this website and seeing some decent little saplings growing starting their amazing journey towards becoming fat bud yielding monsters. Best wishes on this grow my friend and I'm excited to see how everything progresses. Good luck!
