Happiness is planting the seeds.
hps 250w
black box silver 60x90x180
extractor 220 m3/h during daycycle
vertical fan 24/24 h
"all-mix" & 1 glass of "light-mix" around the seedling
Nutrients: Fish-mix(veg) & Bio-Grow(flo) / Bio-Bloom / Top-Max
2nd and prolly last try with this strain, as i had some extra seeds, because disappointed by it's taste on first harvest
(tend to be throat irritating and make cough)
This time i'll use "top-max" from "biobizz" and will see if it impact buds density and taste noticeably
It's sort of an interesting comparative test grow with the previous one without "top-max"
even if i remain sceptical it will remove the throat irritating aspect i experienced on first grow & smoke, time and drying/curing will tell.
Watering volume per plant: approx 1L every 3/4 days (depending soil appearance and pot weights)
Watering with PHed water once middle of the week and switching from "Fish Mix" to "Bio-Grow"
The plants wear a beautiful & healthy green, and there's no reason to add too much veg (or flo) nutrient this week.
Vigorous stretch & flowers near the nodes are starting to show since the end of last week, the plants start to smell a very little when close enough.
Vertical fan cause a very few neglectable wind burn along it's rotation axis middle. (box diagonal from the fan sort off)
Watering volume per plant: 1l every 3 days
Starting flowering nutrients this week.
Healthy growth and stretch. (& Aside a very few more neglectable wind burn.)
Removed a few more lower and smaller branch.
Watering volume per plant: 1l every 2/3 days
Now there's also one clearly taller phenotype.
Topped mid week 6
Removed a few more lower and smaller branchs.
Watering volume per plant: 1l every 2/3 days
Removed a few more flowers location and branch canopy bottom.
All in all stretch is now oki, one taller and one smaller phenotype
(85cm to 120cm, average phenotype being 100cm)
Some noticeable color tone differences also (see last photo)
Watering volume per plant: 1l every 2/3 day.
Last week with nutrients, starting flushing next week.
Two plants top's a bit too close of the lamp show small heat stress signs.
Watering volume per plant: 1L every 2/3 day
Two plant tops too close of the lamp suffer noticeably from heat.
Should had removed a very few more lower branch here and there.
Flushing this week with top-max and full water next week.
Harvest planned in 10 days
Watering volume per plant: 1l every 2/3days
First grow using Top-Max, does it's job real well, dense and fat colas
While it has less branch the taller pheno topped mid flo has clearly more dense flowers.
Did one pre-harvest on some lower branchs end of week 10 and first days of weeks 11 as my stock were running low.
Early taste is really encouraging regarding my previous experience with this strain.
Had a few parasites on some leaves along flowering, i let them live along and just gonna use Leaf-Coat twice with the next grow to clean the box.
Two plants slighty suffered from heat stress resulting in some unwanted stretch, white coloration and poor trichrome density last 3 4 top's cm.
Second grow with this strain.
Smaller buds were suprisingly really smooth to smoke after 7 days drying, with curing the early fruity tone clearly turn to strong citrus.
Once cured:
- 6 pheno are like citrus, sweet, flowery
- 1 pheno is more like: citrus, sweet, sour
With 9 week of flowering that's typically your late afternoon, evening, night-time strain.
With this one you'll easily sit and stare at whatever or just close your eyes and relax.
Also really helpful to fall asleep without noticing it while feeling very relax.
All in all, beautiful growth, fast to trim (but not much trim material to work with for hash or else), very nice high nice taste once cured.
Smaller buds: 7 day drying
Main colas: 7-10 days drying
Curing: 15days
& well citrus is strong with that one
Second grow with this strain is a success, the use of "Top-Max" did a lot, first time i got that dense buds with my 250 W.
All in all, beautiful growth, fast to trim (but not much trim material to work with for hash or else), very nice high nice taste once cured.
@ArucambaAutoflowers297, check my northern light if you want to see the diff between hybrid/indica and veg time, they had 3 week and they gonna be 10 15cm smaller than the hydrid.
@ArucambaAutoflowers297, hey, yup that's what annoyin' with SOG from seeds, it's harder to give the right amount of veg depending stretch.
indica i usually go 3/4 week, hybrid 1/2 week, sativa 1 week or 12/12
with SOG is slighty easier using clone, because roots formation chock and afterward growth boost
@Budzablazin, they grow really nicely, no doubt, a bit worried here about heavy coughing i had with this strain, but well curing will tell if my throat handle it better than 2 month ago
She may be smaller due to genetics, but shes on the side of the light, getting less light than the others. You could try swapping her spot with some big plant in the middle to even her out?
@BeefWellingtons, Already got taller plants at the exact same spot, so that's clearly the phenotype.
I may eventually move her, later in flowering, but truth is from my experience it doesn't impact that much, light distribution is pretty homogeneous when the box is closed during stretch.
I made such moving test with a previous grow, and that's really neglectable imho as my box is pretty small (0.5 m²).
It could also happen she experience a growth boost delayed with the other, already experienced that's once also, a smaller plant growing/stretching on the late and recovering a little it's height's diff middle of flowering.
While blooming if the heights diff is too much with others plants, then i'll prolly move her.
@CommanderCannabis, thks & yup, that's why i'm flushing them once with water only this week, the lite dark green show there's not much need for more nutrient for now.
@HighTV, np, :) well it mostly depend of each strain stretch to the end, but i usually remove lower branchs and stems stage when no light penetration enough if the strain stretch a lot during first weeks of flowering
Hey vvince, good to see you liked this strain. I am growing the auto version of this on my balcony (I got 3 of them as a freebie from the growshop)
I am looking for relaxing strains, glad to see this will fit my needs :)
@@@Lucimago, depend how much you smoke on a regular basis and reach the point where neuro-transmetor start to close, but more as in the review, it tend to make you stay blank and stare at whatever for some while ; )
prolly good enough to make a walk with the dog, and watch a tree 5 minute while the dog want to continue moving after pee or poo xD
@@SeedLover, your welcome ^^ already a nice smoke, so can only be better in two weeks ^^
The smell was kinda crazy the two first day of drying, and now the jar start smellin' 😉
