Purchased 10 seeds from Crop King Seeds. These are feminized Blue Cookies seeds. They sent 4 bonus seeds, which was nice! From their website, a little info on the strain:
"Blue cookies got its name from its parent strains – Girl Scout Cookies and Blueberry. Cookies, in general, are popular because they simply taste good, and they appeal to the desire of the palate. In the cannabis world, however, strains become even tastier as they are combined with other varieties. When Girl Scout Cookies are added with Blueberry, flavors change.
While the flavor of the Blue Cookies seem innocent, it would be wrong to take it lightly. In fact, this strain is jam packed with THC, with a content level reaching as high as 28%. What does this mean? You can be guaranteed of a high that you may have never even experienced before. Since this is a mostly Indica strain that offers a high THC content, you have a potent cannabis strain in your hand. No doubt that this strain can be considered as one of the strongest currently available on the market."
I germinated according to the instructions on the Crop King website. I put 3 seeds into filtered water at 4pm one day and then at 6am the next they had all sunk. I then placed all 3 seeds in a wet paper towel and put into the dark. Meanwhile I prepared the tent.
I am running a Viparspectra 1200W full spectrum LED in a 4'X4' tent. The unit pulls 524 actual watts from the wall. This should mean that I am getting 32.75W/square foot. This might be on the low end but it will have to work for first grow.
I have a small humidifier running in the tent as it is winter and the tent is in a basement and the humidity in the house is very low naturally. I am also running a small heater in the tent because I keep my house at 62. If you want it warmer, build a fire. After some testing, the tent with the light on is between 75 and 81 degrees F. At night it dips down to 64 degrees, but it will have to do for now.
For soil I am running Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I am using 3 gallon smart pots. I am watering right now with ph 6.5 RO water. No nutrients or cal/mag to start.
By day 5 after dunking the seeds in water, 2 of the seeds had 1.5cm roots and were planted. I then started another seed which germinated and was planted in the ground when the others were on Day 3. This can be confusing.
Day 1 for this journal starts when the seed goes into the ground. After planting the seeds I moistened the soil around the seeds with a spray bottle. Due to high evaporative losses, I gently placed a little plastic wrap over each pot.
Because I have 3 pots in the tent, there are 2 front pots and 2 back pots.
Day 3 - right front plant breaks ground. Left front seed was placed into ground. No activity from back seed yet.
Day 4 - Back plant popped. No activity from front left, but both front right and back plant had a seed membrane stuck, which I carefully removed and then the cotyledons popped right out.
Day 5 - Front right and back plants both standing 1" tall and have their first set of true leaves. No activity from front left yet.
Day 6 - Front left plant popped. All 3 plants look very happy.
Day 7 - Back plant ~ 1.5" tall. Front right is ~1.25" tall. Left front is 1" tall. All look really good.
Day 8 - Watered each plant just around the seedling with ~1 oz of water. Soil was dry. Leaves all getting a little bigger.
Day 9 - nothing new. Soil still moist. Leaves getting a little bigger.
Day 10 - Soil dry. Watered all 3 plants. All plants are 1.5" tall. All 3 plants have started second set of leaves. Added a small fan. I would later figure out I did so too soon.
Day 11 - All is well. Second set of leaves growing nicely. Soil dry from adding fan. Watered a small amount.
Day 12 - No changes. Did not water. All plants look good.
Day 13 - Watered. In the AM, right front and back plants were leaning away from fan. They were closest to the fan. Even though it is a tiny fan and it is on the lowest possible setting, it is too much so I turned it off. By the end of the day, all 3 plants had started 4 new leaves.
Day 14 - Spacing between cotyledon, 1st node and second nodes increased to about 3mm. No stretch that I can tell, also no light damage on the leaves so I'll leave the light where it is for now.
Day 15 - Watered all 3 plants this AM, as soil was dry. All 3 plants have started the next set of leaves. Front left definitely ahead of front right and back right, which is odd because it was the last to sprout. Must be a phenotype thing, although front right and back plant bent a little bit when I made the mistake with the fan. They look great now though, just smaller than front left.
Day 16 - No need to water today. Plants look good. Nothing too exciting going on. I did a little research on when to start nutrients in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil today. The best recommendation I found was to use water alone until the plants show signs of needing something. Most people say this is around a month. I think doing it this way, with this strain, in this tent, with good records will let me tune nutrient schedule to this particular set up.
Things to avoid with particular care - overwatering and burning the plants with too many nutrients. When I finally do start the Fox Farms Trio, I will start out at 1/4 strength and see what happens.
I'll update with more pictures and information as the week goes on. The other thing I am making an effort to do is take photos with flash. I don't like the way the photos look with just the Viparspectra LED turned on. Speaking of which, I started from the beginning with both the veg and bloom lights on. I'm not encountering any problems so far.
Day 17 - No need to water today. Still a little moisture left. The back plant has fallen pretty far behind the other 2 in terms of new growth but still looks healthy. Front left is absolutely rocking it, despite having been started a few days later. It is 2.25" tall today and starting yet another new set of leaves.
I'm really impressed with the Viparspectra 1200W full spectrum LED so far. I really don't have anything to compare it to other than a few years ago when I started a few ghost pepper seedlings under a grow light from Home Depot. You wanna talk about stretched seedlings? Whoa. I've never grown MJ before, but from what I can tell these babies aren't stretching and they seem very healthy to me.
Looking at other journals I've decided to reduce might light distance to 30" today and see what happens. I doubt it will burn them. Other folks have theirs much lower and they seem to be getting a lot more growth than I do.
Day 18 - Lowering the light doesn't seem to have done any harm. All 3 plants made progress yesterday. I'll let it run today at 30 inches and maybe lower tomorrow to 26 if no problems develop. I expect the plants will need watering tomorrow. Front right and back are a little dry but showing no indications of water starvation. Front left still has a little moisture left in the soil.
Noticed something different today - the stems on all 3 plants are noticeably thicker above the cotyledon leaves than they are below. I suspect that there is a lot of monkeybusiness going on at that level, what with forming new leaves etc.
Day 19 - It has been 36 hours since I lowered the light from 36" to 30". All the plants seem to like that change. All three plants started some new growth at the first node above the cotyledons.
Plants are 2.5" tall this morning. Also front left plant is now starting to thicken the stem below the cotyledons. I think letting them dry all the way out and sit that way for 24 hours was a good thing. Soil was bone dry this morning so I watered all 3 with a few ounces of water just around the plant. You can see them in the day 19 photo above.
I decided to see if I could push the light just a little lower this AM. I lowered it to 26". I'll watch the plants very carefully today for any signs of problems, but they seemed to really enjoy the change from 36--> 26.
7PM on Day 19 - plants don't seem the light being closer. If I wake up tomorrow and everything looks good I will lower light to 24". Front left is FAR in the lead, growing like mad. Front right is holding it's own. The back plant may have auto-topped itself, if that is a thing. It has no new growth from the top of the plant, but at the first node above cotyledons, it is very active. Even though the front left plant is way ahead of everyone else, the back plant is ahead at the first node above the cotyledon. I am planning on topping, LST and scrog for this grow. I'll probably have to be creative with the back plant. Either way, we're gonna fill up 75% of a scrog net before we switch to flower. Which plant contributes the most I don't care.
Day 20 - Plants doing great. No need to water today. No ill effects from the lowering of the light. Back plant still seems to have auto-topped. I don't know if that is a thing or not. I'm keeping the light at 26" for now. May lower tomorrow, although plants are growing enough that I can probably just let them grow into the 24" range. Plants are now 2.75" tall. Front left plant continues to dominate, despite being born a few days later.
Day 21 - Plants doing well. Light is at 24" now. Plants are 3" high. Did not water today. I'm pretty sure now that the back plant auto-topped for some reason. Back plant stops at node 2. Front right and front left are all showing new growth at node 2 now.
Wow what an eventful week!
Day 22 - watered. Front left now has additional growth at 3rd node. Back plant has definitely auto-topped. First node growth on back plant is ahead of both others.
Day 23 - 3.5" tall. Front left has 4 good nodes. Will need topping soon.
Day 24 - plants look good. Still some moisture in the soil. Noticed no negative pressure on the tent! Checked out fan/filter setup. Very little air being expelled from tent. Turns out the carbon filter was clogged with white dust from using well water in the humidifier. I used a blower attachment for my air compressor to blow the filter and pre-filter out. It works again but I am not reconnecting it for the time being. There really isn't any smell. This will mean increased airflow and it will screw with my temperature regulation. Will turn heater up. Discontinuing humidifier for now. I will watch for negative effects on plants.
Day 25 - Humidity dropped to 28% but plants still seem ok. Watered. Plants 4 inches tall. Next watering I will start Cal-Mag.
Day 26 - I watered yesterday and front right has signs of a little overwatering.
Day 27 - front left recovered from overwatering. Plants now 4.5" tall. Despite the decreased humidity the plants are all growing at the same rate and seem to be healthy. Topped front left and front right just above the 4th node.
Day 28 - Plants seem to have no ill effect from topping. Look at photo of back plant. Back plant autotopped some time back and has been having good growth at node 1. Also one of the cotyledon leaves seems to be trying to develop another stem. LOL!. Also look at the stem, the plant is moving the main stem out of the way of the lower branches so that they get more light. Auto LST?
Day 29 - no water today. Stipules now showing on front 2 plants at top node.
Day 30 - Room that grow tent is in smells faintly of weed. Decided to reattach carbon filter. After a bit this cleared up.
Day 31 - plants looked a little droopy, so I watered about 1/2 cup per plant. Solution now contains Cal-Mag plus.
The back plant has one or two leaves with some yellowed tips despite never having added nutrients. The Fox Farms Ocean Forest is pretty spicy I think.
Day 32 - All plants happy and healthy.
Day 33 - Soil dried out faster. Plants may be taking up more now. All 3 looked a little droopy this AM, despite having watered 2 days ago. Watered about 1 cup per plant. The plants perked up after about 6 hours. I sprayed some neem oil on leaves/soil 15 minutes before lights out.
Day 34 - Plants look good this AM. They grew after the watering. No ill effects from NEEM. Back plant is some sort of mutant. It is doing it's own thing at this point.
Day 35 - Soil dry again. I watered. Plants look great. Next watering I will add in some nutrients at 1/4 strength. Fox farms Big Bloom and Grow big. Will plan on watering with nutes every other time.
Day 36 - nothing new. Plants grew after watering. They always seem to get a little growth.
Day 37 - I watered with first nutrients at 1/4 strength. Used 1 cup per plant. Will watch to see what happens. Also started some LST on the lower branches of each plant. I pulled them more horizontal.
Day 38 - No ill effects from LST. Fertilizer looks like it helped quite a bit.
Day 39 - Soil dry as a bone. Plants drooping a bit. Watered with the cal-mag only water.
Day 40 - Topped the 2 main branches of the back plant. At 8PM soil was dry and plants wilting a bit after yesterday's watering. I think the plants are consuming much more water, so I watered with the nutrient water a little more heavily. I may have been underwatering recently.
Day 41 - Plants looking awesome this AM. I removed the bottom 4 fan leaves from front left that were blocking the new growth. Also removed the middle branch of the back plant, which has never grown a new growth site and was basically just fan leaves.
Day 42 - Plants looking really good. I adjusted the LST a bit. Eventually I will need to install the scrog net. Planning to put the net about 1 foot above the pot, so 5 inches of growth or so to go before it is needed.
Day 43 - Trimmed 2 fan leaves off of front left that were blocking other stems. Trimmed 1 fan leaf off of front right for the same reason. Neem oil to all 3 plants.
Day 44 - No ill effects from NEEM. Trimmed an additional 2 old fan leaves off front right.
Day 45 - Watered with Cal-Mag.
Day 46 - All 3 plants look good. Front right seems to really be filling out nicely. Trimmed 1 more leaf off of front right.
Day 47 - nothing new to report.
Day 48 - plants droopy in the AM. Watered with the Fox Farms nutrient solution.
Day 49 - Woke up this morning to find that the power strip running the tent shut itself off last night at 6PM so they missed a few hours of light. I reset things and it seems to be fine throughout the day.
Day 50 - Soil dry this AM. Plants not yet droopy. Watered with plain water, 1/2 gallon total, divided between 3 plants.
Day 51 - Nothing new. Plants look healthy.
Day 52 - Soil dry. Watered with the nutrient mixture.
Day 53 - Plants look good. Front left not quite as bushy as the other 2. They seem to have caught up. I set up the trellis netting at 12" above the pot surface. Plants have 3 inches to grow until they reach it.
Day 54 - Everyone happy this morning. Soil still has some moisture.
Day 55 - Watered with plain water.
Day 56 - Nothing new. Plants 9" tall. On to week 9!
Day 57 - In the morning soil was almost dry. I think I may have been underwatering up to this point. I have never completely soaked the soil on any plant. At night I watered with a little over a gallon divided between the 3 plants.
Day 58 - Looked really good today. I trimmed some damaged old lower leaves off all 3 plants.
Day 59 - Nothing to report.
Day 60 - Watered 1 gallon of nutrient solution divided between the 3 plants. The next time I water I will increase the strength, as right now they are at 1/4 strength.
Day 61 - Plants look good.
Day 62 - Soil still has a little moisture.
Day 63 - Guessing soil will need water tomorrow morning. Plants showing no signs of distress. Plants are 11" tall! Getting close to hitting the trellis netting.
Day 64 - watered 1 gallon split between 3 plants with the ~1/2 strength nutes.
Day 65 - Topped the 2 main branches of all 3 plants. Lowered trellis netting to 8" above pot. Started tucking a little bit. Also lowered light to 18"
Day 66 - Looking good. New nutes do not seem to be too strong and the new training doesn't seem to have hurt them.
Day 67 - Plants dry. Watered 2 gallons of regular water split between all 3 plants. Removed some of the damaged lower leaves.
Day 68 - Nothing new to add. Everyone looks healthy.
Day 69 - Plants still have a little moisture in the pots. I have been periodically re-tucking branches under the nets as they grow.
Day 70 - Soil dry and plants a touch droopy at the time photos were taken. I watered 1 gallon of the nutes split between the 3 plants. These things are BUSHY.
Day 71 - Everyone is chugging along. All plants thick and lush. Sometimes it is hard to see them progressing but looking back at photos from a couple weeks ago it is pretty obvious. I need to fill the net a bit more. I removed a few of the older fan leaves that were blocking new shoots.
Day 72 - Moved light up to 26" to try to encourage a little stretch. I'm hoping the branches will grow long a little faster so I can fill the net. Also at that height the light has a better footprint.
Day 73 - All doing well. Soil still has some moisture left going by the weight of the plant.
Day 74 - Watered 1 gallon of plain water between the 3 pots.
Day 75 - All healthy.
Day 76 - Soil still has moisture. All growing and looking healthy.
Day 77 - Another week comes to an end. Still plenty of moisture.
Day 78 - plants a little droopy and pots dry. Watered 1 gallon of nutrients split between 3 plants. Tucked 3 branches in the evening.
Day 79 - at the suggestion of a comment, I transplanted each plant from a 3 gallon pot to a 7 gallon pot. Even though I watered yesterday, the pots were all dry except right at the top. All were rootbound. I watered very thoroughly after transplant with plain water. Things grew during the day. I had to tuck a couple more branches. No ill effects from the transplant.
Day 80 - Everything looks healthy today. Power went out for a bit last night. I reset everything in the morning.
Day 81 - I've seen some really nice growth after transplanting to 7 gallon pots. Top of soil dry but pots still heavy.
Day 82 - Removed some older leaves from the bottom of each plant - a handful of leaves total. Watered with 1 gallon of nutrients for EACH pot. This is a change, as it used to be 1 gallon divided between the 3 pots.
Day 83 - Looking good and growing.
Day 84 - Everyone healthy. Soil still has some moisture. I am going to veg for 2 more weeks. I think the extra time will help fill the trellis net a little more and it will be worth it.
Decided to go with full strength nutrients this week. Overnight after that watering I saw at least an inch of growth. We are now at week 13. I am absolutely positive that only one more week remains in veg. What I am planning to do for this last week is:
Cal-Mag - 3ml
Big Bloom - 15 ml
Grow Big - 15 ml
I am going to stick to the Fox Farms regiment for the last week of veg. I see no ill effects in my mature plants for sticking to the recommended schedule at this point. Probably I would have seen problems if I had switched to full strength earlier, but right now these plants are rocking and I think they can handle it. 1 MORE WEEK!!!!!!!
Repotting into 7 gallon pots, switching to full strength nutrients and waiting a couple weeks seems to have made a huge difference! I'm switching to flowering (finally) tomorrow. These are some BIG plants.
Day 92 - soil still moist. Had a big growth spurt.
Day 93 - had to tuck more branches under trellis net.
Day 94 - Watered with 1 gallon of regular water per plant
Day 95 - Nothing needed. Went out of town overnight.
Day 96 - Plants grew overnight but nothing tall enough to tuck.
Day 97 - Watered with 1 gallon of full strength nutrients per plant.
Day 98 - Massive growth spurt overnight. This is the last day of vegetation.
Wow! Flowering is finally here! I switched over to the Fox Farms Trio schedule for flowering at full strength. Someone who grew these genetics before me said to watch out for phosphorus deficiency and I shall. Saw a lot of growth this week. They seem to be drinking a LOT more water now.
F1 - Plants grew massively overnight. Soil still moist.
F2 - Watered 1 gallon plain water per plant.
F3 - Still look healthy. I tucked a little bit more.
F4 - Watered 1 gallon full strength nutrients per plant. Tucked some more.
F5 - BIG growth overnight. Defoliated a little underneath the net. It was a double handful of leaves. Had to tuck some more.
F6 - They grew a little overnight. There is still some moisture in the soil.
F7 - Watered 1 gallon of plain water per plant. These plants are drinking water like crazy!
Second week of flowering complete. We had 4 inches of growth this week! Plants look to be maturing.
F8 - Growth overnight. Tucked a few branches.
F9 - Maybe buds starting to form? No more tucking now. Training is done. Soil still has some moisture. Plants 14" high and canopy fairly even.
F10 - Watered 1 gallon of nutrients per plant. Removed a few fan leaves covering lower bud sites.
F11 - Big growth overnight. Everyone looks healthy.
F12 - Grew 2 inches overnight.
F13 - Grew another 2 inches overnight. They really love the Fox Farms Trio it seems.
F14 - 2 weeks complete! On to week 3.
Big week this week. On day 21 I saw the first trichs forming in late afternoon. They weren't there in the morning. Also, have to water every other day now.
F15 - Watered 1 gallon nutrients per plant. The soil was bone dry. They must be using a ton of water, because it seems I'm watering every other day now consistently. Removed a few fan leaves to uncover bud sites. I did a big under net defoliation. Some of the leaves under the canopy were dead but most of what I defoliated was healthy, but never going to reach the canopy at this point.
F16 - Had some growth overnight but not like it was during the first 2 weeks. That was crazy times.
F17 - All is well. Still a little moisture in the soil.
F18 - Watered 1 gallon of plain water per plant.
F19 - Soil still moist.
F20 - Watered 1 gallon nutrients per plant.
F21 - First trichomes appear.
Good week this week. Starting to get a citrus smell in the tent. Also it smells very earthy in there.
F22 - Removed a double handful of fan leaves blocking bud sites. I'll have to watch this closely because the configuration changes really fast. Soil still moist.
F23 - Watered 1 gallon of plain water per plant. Removed a few more fan leaves.
F24 - Plants dry! Watered 1 gallon of nutrients per plant.
F25 - Looking good today.
F26 - Soil moist.
F27 - Soil moist.
F28 - Watered 1 gallon plain water per plant. Removed a handful of fan leaves blocking bud sites.
I had a scare this week on F31. See growers question and photos. Also I changed the conditions to make it seem more like fall in the tent. This is an experiment. I'm hoping to develop some color with the cooler temperatures. It is really starting to smell strong in the tent!
F29 - Soil still moist. No problems
F30 - Soil moist. Removed a double handful of fan leaves that were blocking bud sites.
F31 - Had a scare. I saw some calyxes and they looked an awful lot like the plants were going hermie. But they weren't. Watered 1 gallon of nutrients per plant.
F32 - All is well in the tent. Soil moist.
F33 - I decided to turn the heater off so that it gets cooler at night. The idea being to mimic conditions in the fall a little bit. We'll see what happens. I'm also hoping the cooler temps will help the plants develop color.
F34 - Watered 1 gallon plain water per plant.
F35 - All is well. Plants 20" tall. 57 degrees at night now with the heater off. Warms up to 70 during the day. Just like fall!
Please see the photos week 19. This is week 5 of flowering and F31. Today I saw some things that looked like calyxes. They have hairs sticking out from them, but I just wanted an opinion as to whether these are female calyxes or whether all 3 of my plants just hermied.
Hey Jondalar!! You got nothing to worry about those are Calyxes that's what you want to see👍 If they were to Hermie you would know because you would see little "Nanners" Stamen coming out of either some calyxes or you will see an actual pollen sac. They look very different, the calyxes have hairs most of the time yes the hairs can fall off but the calyxes almost stand up where a pollen sac will kinda start standing up but then they start to face downward as they get ready to open and release pollen. Happy Growing!!
F36 - Starting to see a lot of red hairs.
F37 - Soil still moist. Lots of new small calyxes growing on all plants.
F38 - Watered 1 gallon nutrients per plant. When door is open the whole house stinks.
F39 - Not much changing in the tent now. Same height and everything as last week. Buds just maturing I guess.
F40 - Back plant's buds are bigger than the other two.
F41 - Soil still moist. As spring comes the RH is rising. 41-49% in the tent now.
F42 - Watered 1 gallon plain water per plant.
Week 7 is done! Not much to do anymore except to feed and water as needed. Not much is changing in the tent, except this week some of the fan leaves took on a purplish hew. I also think I started seeing some new calyxes form. I think that must be what happens when buds "fatten up." Old calyxes become infertile so the plant grows new ones. I asked around but no one seems to know exactly what is happening to the plant when the buds "fatten up."
F43 - Not much changing. Maybe this is the part of the grow where you sit back and relax.
F44 - All trichomes still clear. No fade in the leaves yet. Soil moist.
F45 - I think I'm starting to see a little bit of purple on the fan leaves and some sugar leaves.
F46 - Watered 1 gallon of nutrients per plant.
F47 - Back plant buds seem to be much fatter than the ones on the other 2.
F48 - New calyxes forming. Very stinky in tent. If you leave the door open long enough to water the whole house gets stunk up.
F49 - Watered one gallon plain water per plant.
F50 - Soil moist. Nothing really new going on in the tent.
F51 - Smelling very strong. Open the tent and stink up 3 floors. Also, even with door closed you can smell a faint skunkiness. I will need a new carbon filter for next grow.
F52 - Had to tie a limb on the back plant up because it was outside the trellis net and it was too heavy to support itself. This is a good sign I think. New calyxes are forming at the crowns of each bud as well as on the sides. They also seem to be swelling a bit.
F53 - Watered 1 gallon of nutrients per plant. All trichomes are still clear.
F54 - Nothing new today. Purple is really showing through on the fan leaves.
F55 - Soil still moist. All trichomes still clear.
F56 - Watered 1 gallon plain water per plant.
This is the end of week 9 of flowering. Crop King estimated 9 weeks until they were ready and they hit it right on the head. I'm getting a mix of cloudy and amber trichomes on all buds, so I will chop in a few days when I have time to convert the tent into a drying room.
F57 - seeing some fall colors in the tent. A few cloudy trichomes here and there on the buds. Sugar leaves with a mix of cloudy and amber.
F58 - Nothing to report. Soil moist.
F59 - Back plant has lots of cloudy trichomes on buds. An occasional amber here and there. Soil moist.
F60 - Big changes in the trichomes in the last 48 hours. Seeing cloudy trichomes on all buds, with scattered amber.
F61 - Watered 1 gallon nutrients per plant.
F62 - Nothing new going on in the tent.
F63 - buds now all have cloudy trichomes with a mix of amber in there. Time to chop when I have time to do it in the next few days.
I agree with Nerrd, you might want to consider potting up. They look real healthy 👍👊.
I just posted week 1 of Blue Cookies, and will continue to follow. 11 weeks of veg seems long after growing autos.
@@Jondalar, Very good, with a healthy rootball like that, they will take off in that 7 gallon ! Its amazing how much water a healthy plant can transpire.
It's pretty hard to tell about the hermies... My GSC hermed and I actually ended up with a LOT of seeds in my buds. It was actually pretty excited because the seeds actually germinated! I'm growing one now, but I have no idea how it will turn out LOL.
@@Jondalar, it's harder than you think to tell the difference. LOL... I would suggest you check your buds after it's all dried out. The seeds are also tricky to find if you don't know what you are looking for! I found mine by accident in my grinder well after the fact :) I'm really new to growing, so I was really mystified! LOL
Starting to look stellar my friend ! I would consider lowering your lamp a little closer or raising you're plants up just a little bit tho :) This will help you're plants gather more photons to concentrate twoards growth cause to be honest I find you're light to be a little high . But over all it looks stellar my friend you're well on you're way !!! Keep up the great work and Ill be back next week to look again :D :D
-Happy Growing!
@@Nerrd, I'll try to up the phosphorus pretty quickly then. I'm still at 1/2 strength nutes in the veg phase. I suppose I could add more but I am not seeing any problems so I haven't done it yet. After transplant I will veg for a bit to see what happens. I kinda want my trellis net 70% full, even if it takes longer. I don't care how long it takes I just want a quality crop.
Do you have bigger pots Jondalar? If the roots are being told to stop growing for lack of room, it will send that signal to the upper growth as well. I love how many tops you have and they are neither under nor over- fed. So healthy and green. I apologise if is seem despotic, I just want you to have as much success as possible.
@@Nerrd, I put into 7 gallon pots just now. They needed it. Every cubic inch of that 3 gallon pot was filled with roots. Also I found out something weird - even though I watered yesterday morning and the top of the soil was still wet, the bottom 4/5 of the pot was completely dry. They must be drinking a ton of water or I'm underwatering.
Looking happy and healthy man , nice even green everywhere no signs of stress , keep up the great work ! Sending them lots of positive vibes so they grow big and robust !
-Happy Growing!
@The_Projexx, Thanks! Front left had a little overwatering on day 26 but it completely recovered by day 27. Front left and front right seemed to sail through the topping. Back plant is a freak. It topped itself and is now moving the main stem out of the way for the other growth on its own! Thanks for the good vibes!
@@Jondalar, free seeds....nice! I ordered a bunch but no freebies😟. I had 100% germ. rate, 5/5, but two were runts, and I culled the worst one. Growing outdoors is not an option.... 4 teenage boys nextdoor 😃.
@DeaneR, Thanks a bunch! I started 3 seeds initially. 2 germinated and one didn't. Started another one and it sprouted. So far I'm at 75% germination rate which I think is fair. Crop King gave me 4 extra seeds with my order and I thought that was pretty nice of them. Your plants look awesome. They're growing like crazy!
Where I live I'm allowed to grow 12 plants but I don't have the space. I could grow outside but I'd be worried about getting pollinated. We have a metric ass-ton of bees here in the spring. They truck bees in because of orchards. I'd be willing to bet that there is either some ditch weed somewhere or someone else might be growing outdoors. Good luck on your grow!
@DeaneR, I chopped tonight. After trimming all the fan leaves I ended up with 4 pounds wet, but that includes stems, sugar leaves and popcorn buds. I’m hoping I get a half pound of cured bud. There will be a metric ass ton of sugar leaves and popcorn buds to make something else. I’m gonna dry trim over a trim tray so there will be plenty of pure trichomes as well.
@DeaneR, yeah the switch from 3 gallon pot to 7 gallon pot made a big difference. I am planning on filling the net a little more and then switching to flower. The classic - 2 more weeks.
@@Nerrd, I want the plants to be about 12" tall. I'm planning on doing scrog at that height. When the net is about 70% full I will flip to flower. I'm not really in a rush on this. My guess is 2-3 more weeks until they are at 12" and who knows how long to fill the scrog net.
Hey, Happy New Year!! I know I'm new at this grow thing...however, I advise you to take it easy on the cal/mag. I over did it 😟, and my girls suffered tip burn a day or two after. Use the old saying...weakly...weekly!
Your grow is progressing nicely. Keep up the great work!!!👍
Happy new year my friend! Your grow is looking fantastic and healthy and I wish you best in this next year growing some amazing plants and yielding yourself large amounts of bud. Cheers!
