Planted on 12/08/2018 (Noon) - Used rapid rooters and humidity dome (3 seeds total, one per RR) - Germinated on 12/10/2018 (Midnight) 60 total hours from seed to seedling - all three germinated, 2 looked really good, one is still trying to pop up out of RR, but it has germinated. Will take dome off later today - 12/11/2018 at 5pm. Plan on transplanting to SOLO plastic cups with holes in next few days when I see root growth using perlite and fox farms happy frog soil. After that establishes I plan on transplanting to bigger pot, using Fox Farms Ocean Forest (in 7 gallon fabric pots)... Put in grow tent under Veg light (36") on 12/12/18. Watered on 12/12/18 in PM. PH was 6.2 (I added CalMg to RO water (1/2 strength to begin). Humidity seems low, its winter and pretty dry - Humidity is reading 33%, may add a humidifier?

on 12/23 I transplanted from solo cups to the final pots - 7 gallon fabric pots. I switched from Fox Farms Happy frog soil I had the seedlings in to the Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil along with extra Perlite. They look to be OK so far. Leaves are forming, however, I don't see center stem development where the plants are should be getting taller, just leaf development. Maybe I am just wanting or rushing it too much. But hopefully the new "hot" soil will help with main root development and height. I have been adding General Organics CaMg+ at each feeding. 5mg per gallon. Not sure on when I should start the General Organics BioThrive at each watering, don't want nutrient burn since I am using the Ocean Forest soil now. Perhaps give it a week and then try a little. 12/27 - The girls seem to like the FF Ocean Forest soil. See some growth, still would like to see them taller, but maybe this is OK? 12/29 - Watered first time since 12/25 - I watered each one at .75 gallons / 3 qts each. Seems to be growing and doing OK.

Hi - newbie here. I noticed that my Autoflower grow has been going OK, Leave development is OK. But my concern is height of the plants. They seem to be growing out and not up! Not sure if this is normal at this stage? Two weeks in thus far.

Your plant is still a baby seedling, let it be, once it leaves the seedling stage (usually after the 3d week it will grow a lot faster That been said, there's nothing wrong with a short bushy plant, what you want is an even canopy of tops, height means very little.

Week three started out good. Noticed both were pretty dry as I have been watering every four days, and checking via soil and finger test. I ended up watering on the third day this time. Perhaps they are maturing and require 3 day internals now, well see. Watered on 1/1/2019 - same quantity as before - 3 qts (.75 gallon each) total of 6 qts per two plants 1.5 gallons. 5mll of CaMg+ / RO water 1/3/2019 - the girls are getting bigger, finally seeing some height along with spread. I moved the light up to give them at least 20" or a bit more... 1/3/2019 - I noticed the right plant (right side of tent) is a bit smaller then the left plant (5" to 6"). also a few of the lower leaf's look to have some brown deficiency, not sure what but I will monitor it. I think next feeding I will only use RO water Ph'd to 6.5 and see if that clears it up.... 1/5/2019 - I did a watering today. The right plant looks good and growing fast. The left plant is not as big and struggling a bit. Not sure why. So today, I gave them just straight RO water, no CaMg+ - Ph'd to 6.5 and the usual amount of .75 gallons per plant (3 qts each / 6 qts total). I also trimmed the very bottom leafs from the struggling plant and will post pics of them to see if anyone knows what might be causing this. Also moved the light up a few inches again - to 25" above canopy (of the largest plant)

One plant is doing great, the other is smaller and I noticed at the bottom a few leafs are spotted and brown discolored, I uploaded to my blog. The top leafs look good and other than it being smaller than the other it looks OK. Any ideas on bottom leafs and small size? - thanks!

I think they're looking good, for only 3 weeks old their size is not alarming, its completely natural for a plant to do better than its companion. I see you mentioned the use of the ocean farm soil which is very good and should have enough nutrients for several weeks. They may just be having a small recovery time from the transplant which can slow things down temporarily. I would just watch your waterings and keep them as evenly moist as possible and then allow them the several days to dry out, also if your humidity could go up slightly towards the 60-70 range that'd be probably good also. Being patient is one of the biggest struggles i have, but it tends to work itself out just giving them time and waiting. Happy growing. ✌️

hey there Dr.A ! a few things are combining and leading to your issue. First off overwatering, how can you tell you're overwatering ? the puffy leaves and the puffy space in between the veins of the leaves are a tell tale sign you're overwatering. I see you're adding cal mag but i also see what could be calcium deficiency, why? well calcium gets absorbed at <6PH something like 5.9 so you actually want to feed at lower PHs and let your soil buffer it out. PH of rain water is 5.5 does that make sense? Other things might have been hindering the development of these plants for example the solution temperature should be closer to 21 °C so it doesnt shock the roots with cold. Last thing is, looks like a combination of calcium and phosphorous deficiency. P deficiency leads to lower leaves to darken, get spots , curl down a bit and get yellow eventually. A common symptom is red or purple stems... basically exactly what you're seeing. Not to worry very easy to remedy , just get some bloom nutrients and start giving it to the plant, even before the flower, and the plant will recover. Hope this helps Dr.A ! 🚀

1/6 - 1/7 - Noticed first signs of flowering. I think I missed the very beginning, but only had been a day or two. I learned a lot on the transition from Veg to Flower, so next grow I will catch it better. 1/08/19 - I watered both plants and used the GHE Bloom nutrients for the first time. Probably could of used them 4 days earlier, but did not catch. used my standard 3qts / .75 gallons per plant and used 3 mg CalMg+ along with 3mg (1/4 strength) Bloom nutrients. 1/10/19 - The nutrients really seemed to work. I had a Phosphorous deficiency and it looks to be clearing up with the usage of the bloom nutrients. Left plant is doing well with lots of flowers and a height of 14.5". The right plant is doing better after recovering from the Phosphorous deficiency and has a height of 9.5" with several small flowers now. 1/12/19 - Watered plants. Used Bloom Nutrients at 4mg per gallon and CalMg+ at 3mg per gallon. Watered total of .75 gallons per plant (3 qts each). I noticed not too much runoff this time, so I will up the amount of water to 1 gallon each and see how that works at the next watering. 1/14/19 - Left plant is now up to 20" tall, lots of bud sights flowering and fingers crossed is doing well. The right plant continues to struggle, still fighting the Cal and Mag deficiencies, its smaller at just 13" tall but it is producing bud / flower sites. I will stay with it and try to nurse it along but yields will be smaller for this one compared to the left plant that is doing really well.

1/16/19 - Watered both plants - upped to 1 gallon each with 5ml of GO Thrive Bloom and 3ml of CaMg+. They seem to like it. I noticed however, that the larger plant may need a bit more water - not as much runoff as the smaller. So my plan is to up the larger plants water to 1.5 gallons and keep the smaller at 1 gallon and see how that works. Its about every 4 days or so that I water them. Moved the light up again as the large left plant is continuing to grow up. 1/17/19 - Moved light up again to 24" from top of large plant. Noticed a really small bit of light burn (I think) on the very top end of leafs. Keeps growing / stretching.

1/19/19 - Watered large plant almost 2 gallons with NO Nutes except a pinch of CalMg+. Had a bit of left over water and topped off the small plant. Small plant looks healthy but is requiring very little water? 1/21/19 - Moved light up 24" from large plant top. Both plants were moist, no water needed. Large plant was 30.5" tall and small plant was 18.5" tall 1/23/19 - Watered large plant as it was dry. Used full dose of nutes. 10mg of Bloom and 5mg of CalMg+. Again did 2 gallons of water, had good run off, vacuumed off excess runoff from pan. Used a bit of the water that was left from can and watered the little plant. Again, the little plant is moist and does not need water again. Very interesting on this, I trimmed a few fan leafs off the big plant. 1/24/19 - Put light up again to about 22/23" from top of large plant. Measurements were - Large plant = 33.5" and small plant measured 20.5". Both continue to grow, and buds are slowly getting bigger. Interesting that the smaller plant has bigger buds so far, but less of them. 1/27/19 - Top dressed large plant with more Ocean Forest top soil. Watered large plant with almost 2 gallons of water - nutes were 10mg Bloom per gallon and 5mg CalMg+ per gallon. Watered small plant with just over a gallon with same ratio of nutes.

1/31/19 - Watered large plant with 1.75 gallons of water - had good runoff. Nutes were 10ml of Bloom, 5ml of CalMg+, and 4ml of Bud Candy. Used remaining .45 gallons to water smaller plant, its not needing hardly any water, which I find weird? It looks green and healthy, and looks to be a bout a week or two more along than the larger plant. I had to use a Yo Yo on the small er plant to keep it from falling over as its getting heavy with buds. Been running humidifier as its been very cold and dry - keeping it at 40-50 % RH. 2/3/19 - Checked on the girls. They look OK. I am going to straight water them tomorrow with just RO and PH to 6.5, then add nutes to next feeding after tomorrow. 2/4/19 - Straight RO water with 5ML of CalMg+ - large plant is 36" high and small plant is 12.5" high. Watered large plant 1.65 gallons and the small plant I watered .35 gallon.

Trichomes are still plastic like, not milky yet. I over fertilized this last time and the plants are showing signs. So next watering its straight RO water... 2/12/19 - Watered and flushed large plant. Used 4 gallons of RO water PH'd to 6.5 and vacuumed all runoff. Went from 800ppm to under 200. 2/13/19 - Watered small plant with 1 gallon of RO water plus 3ml of Bud Candy and 2ml of CALMG+. Vacuumed runoff.

3/10/19 - I harvested both the large and small plant at the 90 day mark (from seed to harvest). I wet trimmed the buds as best as possible. I hung the trimmed buds by coat hangers and clothes pins in my grow tent. I had NO lights on, zipped up with a small fan on bottom of tent running on low and the charcoal filter on low. I also had a humidifier running outside the tent to keep the room RH at between 50-55% and temps were between 63-68. My wet weights were 285.76 g for small plant / and 547.31 g for large plant. total wet weight was 833.07g for both plants. They dried for 6 full days. I took down on 3/16/19 - and cut buds off stems and put into 1qt large moth glass jars and used 62% boveda packs in each jar along with a small digital RH indicator. I put back in tent so no light would penetrate (all devices turned off now). Total Dry weight was: 117.95g / 4.16oz. for the large plant / and 57.85g / 2.04oz. for the small plant for a total dry yield of: 175.8g / 6.2oz. total for the grow.

@@chiefyfuzznuts, Hi - I used Vivosun 1/8" rope hangers, new version that has the push button releases. I like them a lot. they are suppose to hold 75lbs @ piece, 150 a pair. You can get them at Amazon for $5.99 USD a pair. Just do a search in Amazon for "vivosun rope hangers" and the first ones that pop up are the push button....

@Mr_Weeds_Autos, thank you! The two remaining seem to be catching steam now - growing pretty quick. Must just be me not knowing what to expect being new :-) - I am now trying to gauge how much to water when I water. With them being in 7 gallon pots now, from SOLO cups its hard to determine. But I think I have a good method so far with .75 (3 qts) per plant. I am really trying not to over water! I water today and the last time I watered was on the 25, and they seem to like that. I think someone mentioned that as they get older and mature the frequency of watering will increase... Touch and go so far but they look healthy... Thanks again!!

Looks great! Also first time grower here. Please take my advice, I had 4 plants and 2 stretched altho same strain. You might wanna look into some LST or SCROG net to even your canopy. To maintain light distance same with each bud. Please don’t be like me and start lst or scrog earlier. Even if you haven’t topped them. My 2 cents

@JohnDee, thank you for the advise. Being my first grow I have been hesitant to do anything like that, but since the height is so different between the two, I may need to look into it...
