Day 0 - 12/12/18, just broke soil after about 2.5 days (planted Sunday afternoon, brushed a little soil aside this morning to make sure they were coming up. Hoping to see first leaves push out of shell by morning. Watering with spray bottle whenever soil looks dry.
Day 1 - 13/12/18, alive and kicking :) Dropped light an inch just in case they’re stretching.
Day 4 - 16/12/18, both seedlings seem to be doing ok. Seems like they could be a little bigger for day 4. Scooped them out and replanted deeper to fix the stretch they had in the first 2 days.
Day 6 - 18/12/18, added 40w tubular heater last night to help stabilize temps. Watered 100ml each this morning.
Day 8, 20/12/18, fine first week, no issues so far. Bumped light to 80w, left height the same. Wet pots more thoroughly with half litre of water each, quarter dose of bio heaven, ph’ed to 6.5. The GW leaves are a little bit of an odd shape, will keep an eye on it.
Day 15, 27/12/18 - End of week 2, pleased with progress so far. Very slight yellowing between the veins of the first set of leaves on the GW, started them on .5 calmag today.
Day 19, 31/12/18 - Started LST
Day 22, 03/01/19 - Bumped light to 100w for start of week 4. Two of the bottom SODK leaves seem to have damaged, possibly from lying against wet soil.
09/01/19, day 28, both plants rocketing into flower as we end week 4. Went easy on the LST just tying down the main kola once on each plant. SODK responded amazingly to this. Seemed it had a slight nitrogen toxicity, while GW got yellow tips on the new growth. Staying easy on the nutes and they seem to be thriving.
11/01/19, day 31, SODK is drooping in a manner that reminds me of my last grow. Dialed light back down to 100w and it’s responded well already.
Day 36, 17/01/19, relatively boring week, most of the stretching seems done so just waiting for flowers to fill out. GW is looking well, leaves praying and frost appear in. SODK also good but got rusty spots on some of the leaves after the latest watering. I’m wondering if it was a PH swing caused by watering with too much run off. It doesn’t seem to be progressing so will keep an eye on it and maybe give it some calmag next watering.
Day 39, 20/01/19, after some research I’ve upped the nutes to be in line with biobizz’s official schedule to see how they react.
Day 43, 24/01/19, another fairly uneventful week. GW developing nicely, SODK taking its time with not much sign of frost yet. Some odd colors showing across both plants, yellows/purples blotches, I feel I can’t get the nutrients quite right. Will continue to experiment and hopefully they’ll make it in good shape.
Day 48, 29/01/19, took some ph readings. Ph in, 6.73. Ph out, GW: 6.94 SODK: 7.02. Going to give next feedings at 6 to try and lower this. Also bumped vol to 1.5L to get some run off.
Day 50, 31/01/19, hanging in there, buds starting to put on weight. GW smells amazing.
Day 53, 03/01/19, went with 6.0 ph in, GW out was 6.43, SODK out was 6.38. GW is still approx 35cm, SODK main kola a little taller at approx 40cm. New growth around the kolas is nice and green and healthy looking, so I assume the main issue a week or two back was they needed the stronger feed.
Day 57, 07/02/19 - good week, feel I have this grow locked in now. At max strength of nutes, hopefully can just follow this routine till harvest. pH in, 6.6, GW pH out 6.76, SODK 6.75. Plant smell is medium-strong, smells really good, like oranges/grapes soaked in diesel.
Day 64, 14/02/19 - Another week in the bag. Getting really close now. Both plants fattened noticeably this week, really exciting. The GW is basically just a lump of frost at this stage save for a few fan leaves. The SODK could be frostier but is probably the more impressive overall - multiple fat colas, look forward to seeing what the yield will be. It's sitting at 42cm now, which leaves it at about 16" from the light, which is still at 100w. Trichs on both plants are looking cloudy, though look like they have a little more to go. Thinking 2 more weeks for both plants max - as soon as I start seeing some amber will go for the chop.
5 days in the brown bag and seems just about good enough to vape. Taste is sweet and funky, high seems sativa dominant but still good deal of relaxation too.
23/08/19: on the last two nugs of this now. Really turned out to be a lovely weed, underrated. The taste is really sweet with a grapey taste on a vape, and the high is a lovely chilled sativa buzz. Would grow again.
Harvested day 68, 18th Feb 2019. 78g wet, bit less than I expected. Mass wise it seems a decent haul with lovely chunky purple tinged buds, covered in frost. They are just quite light and airy with a good bit of larf and trim.
Smell is about normal compared to the sodk.
Using the brown bag method to dry as documented on AFN forums.

Day 79, 01/03/19, still on the go, buds still increasing in size. Trichs look about 50% cloudy, zero amber. Tough being patient!
Day 81, 03/03/19, fan leaves are visibly drying up now and dying off. She looks ready, trichs are more cloudy now with the odd amber spotted. Fed her plain water today to try a basic flush with aim to harvest in a few days.
I’m curious about the color of my SODK. The whole plant is basically yellow (see pics, started around week 6).
It doesn’t look unhealthy though and the buds are looking great. Just wondering did I do something wrong or is it simply genetics?
Your not doing anything wrong . The plant is just coming to the end of its life cycle so its trying to suck back all that it can in the sense of nutrients from the leaves in the plant . Some genetics display this more then others but you have nothing to fear thats just the way she goes its a quite a beautiful plant to be truthful . Id say your looking at 1-2 weeks tops before its time to harvest that fine lady ! I hope the information I've given helps shed light on how a plant will react towards the end of its life cycle . - Happy Growing!
Hi, I have been growing with bio-bizz soil and nutes for 2 years and never without problems...and still trying.The little they seem to agree on the internet is that you have to use them at full strength.
@zefito,thanks for that, yeah I’m going to keep going at full strength and see if there’s any improvement. I’m thinking about switching to biotabs next time to see if I have any better luck.
Yeah i did some research on the bio tabs ..the nirvana shop has some too you might want to check out. Could also be a bit tricky with dosage and mostly in flowering.I'm giving up on biobizz and just bought an autopot. Will try with a 5l custom tank and GHO grow and bloom.I have 150w COB and 5-6 (always yellowing-dying leaves) grows,numerous hours on reading and on forums and plenty of contradictory information,just on the verge of a cannabis breakdown😄
The also say to feed with biobizz with every watering also i'm not 100% sure but the tap water could be a culprit.I have 400ppm, so very hard water, i will be using cistern rain water next with 40ppm.
