Topping stresses the plant and causes growth to slow. How much depends entirely on the plant. The short internodal distance generally means it is getting a lot of light in the blue spectrum which isn't really bad. Once you flip to flower the plant should stretch a bunch as it prepares to make flowers. Some strains also just don't grow very tall. Either way its generally not a bad thing. At least it means you won't be having height problems causing light burn and such. I bet you'll yield a good amount of bud regardless. My first grow I had a strain that stayed super short even after stretch and still yielded 10oz off 1 larger plant and 5 smaller ones in a 4x4.

Ok let’s do this: let’s find your light sweet spot. Let’s move it closer over the period of a few days to a week. With your lights I would start at around 15”. Move lower about .5 inch a day until you see one of three things. The plant “praying” to the light upturned leaves. This is usually the first sign. Leaf edge curling up. Or yellowing top leaves. Any of that happens back it off an inch. Then measure and try to keep your light that far from the top of your plant throughout your whole grow. More info here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-light-burn%3famp Also if you can afford it consider adding more light. Though take into consideration your exhaust. Can it handle more heat or will it need to be upgraded too? This is a much better light than your blurples and in the same price range. https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Board-Grow-Bloom-4000K/dp/B076QDKVDZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1548035809&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=quantum+board+led&dpPl=1&dpID=4155OYwc2cL&ref=plSrch Use this and your current lights together. To a certain point more lights is better. Happy growing bro.

@Agentooz, yeah , gorilla is a strain like that , simply : it needs a week or more more veg time than other strains... but oh man is she worth it ! you'll see at around week 7 of veg, and when she hits flower... it's game over absolute killer of strain and yielder this one. you tell me ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow,I was planning on doing the transplant in a week or so into the 3 gallon fabric pot. It just seems like others at the same time frame are so much bigger maybe it's my lights who knows lol

To answer your question: There is a couple of powerful reason why it is not growing as you would like. first temperatures, lights on temperatures below 23ºC (73ºF) will slow growth down to a crawl, if you increase the temps, the growth will be much quicker. Second, the pot is very small, transplant to a bigger pot and the plant will grow a lot very quick. Do both and it will just simply explode.

@@Athos, I should have updated the info the temps with lights on is 25 c and lights off is 19 not sure if those are in a good range it is hard getting the temps up during loghts out as it is bitter cold where I live. Also I dont ser any roots at the bottom of the pot yet I could try to transplant but dont ser any signs of it being rootbound yet

Hello, here is my advice. You should of put her into a 1 gallon for around 4 weeks of veg. You are building s root ball and top growth during these stages and typically should be watering once a week. Till it’s every few days, then you could transfer into a 3 gallon and start flowering. When your in a bigger bucket p it’s much easier to over water/too much. Yes even in coco you can drown and water board your roots. You can see how your leaves progessivly get more and more puffy, bumpy, sad/downward. This is not s happy plant, you are starving the roots from oxygen in my opinion. I am not sure if that is really how much feed you are giving per gallon, I hope not and doesn’t look like it. I would add mycorrhizae to your garden, and keep the light moved back. I think you have it listed as a 150 watt from the wall? I think 2-4 feet is a good spot for it. You want room for the plant to grow into the light, if it comes into intense light it will start to miniaturize the top growth and curl downward. Also added a side note from an earlier entry from you. When you top a plant you are encouraging her to become bushy. Because it puts more energy into pushing up the bottom growth. Of you are looking for more vertical growth you would FIM the plant and lollipop the bottom. Be mindful of your grow space and height. Where you are today won’t be the same in 8 weeks of flower. Best luck., just my two cents.

Hey I noticed you’re feeding bloom nutrients too. I dont know your nutrient line but generally bloom labeled stuff is saved for after the flip. Are you sure you’re using it correctly? Worth a doublecheck.

When I look at the pictures I feel like I'm looking at my plant from several weeks ago. Don't worry about the compactness, I had the same worries as you. Growing slow, nodes very tight together. Soon it will be a little bush and you might consider defoliating a little. Look at my smaller plant on week 4. It looks very similar to your plant on week 5. My light is stronger than 150W, so that could be why there is the one week difference.

Good luck buddy, I'm on my first week of flowering with these same seeds. Can't wait to see how your plants turn out.

looks nice, but the plant seems really short as if it didnt have enough time in veg

I'm using mostly the all purpose with a bit of the bloom nutrients I was told it would help with rooting
