Pound Cake

DonHugo The pound Cake has sprouted well and has made a beautiful start. Just like with the Purple Punch, I'm not doing so great again.

DonHugo End of week 2. It's too warm, 32 degrees max., tomorrow it will be cooler. So on day 14, the pound cake moved outside. Because a) no space for 3 in a 60 x 60 box and b) I wanted to try this anyway.

DonHugo The pound cake has really been well received outside. It looks cheerful and happy. The pound cake really looks good outside.

DonHugo here we go again… The weather isn't so nice, but starting tomorrow it will be sunny ☀️ The pound cake and I are already looking forward to it Note for Day 26, I just brought her in for the photos. Her regular spot remains the terrace Some pesky critters have been nibbling on the pound cake. But it seems to be a one-time attack

DonHugo The first flowers 🌸 are visible, the pest is gone. The weather could be better. But the next few days are supposed to improve. Day 30 brings the sun back into the game. The pound cake is totally excited and starts with the monster bud production. Day 34, the pound cake is performing surprisingly well outside, even though the weather isn't really cooperating. Day 35, sun is shining, weather is sweet… pound cake rising…

DonHugo Flowering week 2, the weather is great, maybe even a bit too warm. Everything looks healthy, the little mini mouse buds are getting bigger, you can already see a bit of sugar. It's going well! Day 40, all good in the neighborhood, the pound cake is on the rise... Day 42, we say goodbye to week 6. It was solid.

DonHugo Here we go with the outdoor poundcake, it rained so heavily yesterday that I was about to set up an emergency shelter inside, but the pound cake is tough and just shook it off for a bit, no problem. Day 45, finally some sunny weather again.

DonHugo The pound cake is back in the box. The weather outside is just unusable, either over 30 degrees in the shade, or rain and strong wind. Back and forth, the PC has it tough.

DonHugo Week 9, here we go! Pound cake is alone in the box and seems to like it. Getting more attention now and viparspectra Disco light for a few hours daily. Day 58, last time I cut a few leaves 🍃. From now on, it's smooth sailing towards harvest.

DonHugo Final sprint for the pound cake. Sticks like the devil 😈 There's still some time left for the pound cake, it can definitely keep cooking for another 10-14 days. Day 68, pound cake on the rise, there’s still a lot coming in the last days. Week 10 is drastically coming to an end, and so is the pound cake. According to the recipe, the cake is done. But I’ll leave it in the oven a bit longer. 10 weeks Pound Cake 🎂, congratulations on the weekday!

DonHugo Week 11, the pound cake needs a few more days. I couldn't help myself and cut a few small branches. Let's see how much longer it takes until it's really ripe.

DonHugo Goodbye Pound Cake! We had a great time, now just a few more days to dry and then into the jar to become nice and soft. With 178 g wet, I'm quite satisfied. Should be around 50 g dry weight. That's okay.
